IDP News & Notes: Eric Reid signs with the Panthers, Burfict returns, and much more

Check out the latest news & notes from around the IDP world.

*Eric Reid signed a 1 year contract with the Carolina Panthers. Reid will play SS and even possibly nickel LB if needed. I consider Reid a low end DB1/DB2 the rest of the season.

*Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict has served his 4 game suspension (PEDs) and will return this week to face the Miami Dolphins. I expect Burfict to be a LB2 moving forward.

*Colts LB Darius Leonard was spotted walking in a walking boot after Sunday’s loss to the Texans. Heading into a short week it’s unknown if Leonard will be able to play against the Patriots on Thursday.

*Earl Thomas left Sunday’s game against the Cardinals with a broken leg. It is expected that Tedric Thompson will replace Thomas at FS.

*Micah Hyde left the Bills/Packers game with a groin injury in the first quarter. Hyde is considered “week-to-week,” according to Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott. I expect Hyde to miss at least one week.

*Seahawks’ LB Mychal Kendricks is suspended indefinitely according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

*David Irving returns from his 4 game suspension. Irving makes his 2018 debut when the Cowboys visit the Houston Texans on Sunday. I have Irving projected as a DT1 the remainder of the season.
