Week 11 Waiver Wire: Whats more gross RBs or Arby’s?

Packers Jamaal Williams

Week 10 was not kind to RBs including many fantasy relevant ones. We are now at a point where we can debate which is worse the running back position as a whole or Arby’s anything?

Fortunately for those who are scrambling for help there are names to target on the Week 11 Waiver Wire. The same cant be said for those hitting a Arby’s drive-thru. Replacing the Packers RBs, Devonta Freeman and others wont be easy but there are options.

If you need WR help there are names to target as well. Sterling Shepard, Corey Davis, Robert Woods and others are owned in too many leagues at this point but are all adds if they are on your wire.

Who else should you add?

Jamaal Williams | RB | Green Bay Packers
3% Owned on Yahoo!

I need of a RB for this week and potentially longer? Jamaal Williams could be your answer. With both Ty Montgomery and Aaron Jones leaving Sunday’s game against the Bears, there is a tremendous void at the RB position for Green Bay.

Jones has an MCL injury and is expected to miss 3-6 weeks. Montgomery re-injured the ribs that opened the door for Jones in the first place.

Williams got 20 carries and gained 67 yards in Sundays victory. While 3.3 yards is not what fantasy owners are looking for, it’s not as bad as it may seem. The Bears have been solid against the run, allowing 3.9 yards per carry on average. The carries should be there the next week or two for sure.

Samaje Perine | RB | Washington Redskins
7% Owned on Yahoo!

Samaje Perine has a shot to lock down a lead back role in Washington. Rob Kelley is dealing with a high ankle sprain and MCL sprain. We saw Perine struggle when he had a shot earlier this season. He will have a beaten offensive line in front of him this time. But as they say, desperate times call for desperate measures.

Terron Ward | RB | Atlanta Falcons
0% Owned on Yahoo!

The Atlanta Falcons lost Devonta Freeman early on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. While Tevin Coleman will see the majority of work but Terron Ward will get carries. He got 9 carries on Sunday for 23 yards. Dan Quinn has shown that he will use two RBs consistently. If you are in need of RB help in deep leagues, Ward can help.

Austin Ekeler | RB | Los Angeles Chargers
4% Owned on Yahoo!

Austin Ekeler is another RB that could be a nice target in deeper leagues. He had a season high carries on Sunday averaging an impressive 4.2 YPC. He also caught 5 balls for 77 yards and 2 TDs. While you can’t expect the TDs, the workload could be there. THis is a player who has flashed explosive ability. Add Ekeler if you are digging deep.

Jamison Crowder | WR | Washington Redskins
54% Owned on Yahoo!

It looks like the Jamison Crowder most of us expected all season is finally here. QB Kirk Cousins has targeted Crowder 24 times over the past two weeks. He has 13 catches and 199 yards over those two weeks. If you need WR help the rest of the way, especially in PPR formats add him. Teammate Josh Doctson could be the add if you are in a standard league. Especially if you are shooting for big plays and TDs.

Returning from IR

Ravens Danny Woodhead

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Danny Woodhead | RB | Baltimore Ravens
35% Owned on Yahoo!

Danny Woodhead is eligible to return this week although the Ravens have been rather coy about if he will actually play. With the mess that is RB this year, Woodhead is a guy I would add especially in PPR. The Ravens have shown a commitment to getting their RBs work via the pass even with the OC change. Woodhead should see volume once he is back.

Corey Coleman | WR | Cleveland Browns
22% Owned on Yahoo!

There are more questions than answers when it comes to the Cleveland Browns including the QB who will start and finish the game, the RB to own and more. Corey Coleman could provide whomever under center a reliable target though.

The talent is there for Coleman to take the WR1 targets and production in Cleveland. If i’m adding a Browns WR it is Coleman over Josh Gordon 100 times out of 100.

Greg Olsen | TE | Carolina Panthers
59% Owned on Yahoo!

The return of Greg Olsen is a much needed one for many fantasy owners who want more stability at the position. Many have been targeting rando’s like Garrett Celek or Tyler Higbee playing the Giants. WHich has been working for what it’s worth. In Olsen stability and upside are both in play.

The departure of Kelvin Benjamin should provide a ton of targets for Olsen. The catch here is Carolina are on the bye this week and it will require sitting on Olsen for a week. He could be a difference maker with the fantasy playoffs rapidly approaching.
