MLB DFS: Targets for 4/18

We have a full 15-game slate for MLB DFS tonight! Like last article, I’ll recommend some pitchers to target and game stacks.

 

Pitchers:

Yu Darvish (TEX @ OAK)

Moneyline: -135

Over/Under: 7

FanDuel: $10,700/DraftKings: $10,700

Darvish’s last two starts have been strong, especially his last one where he K’d 10 batters. He’s already beaten the A’s at home, giving up just one run and four hits, in six innings. This time, the Rangers are in Oakland and I’ve mentioned before that this is a positive park shift for pitchers. Max Scherzer is at the top in terms of salary, but I wouldn’t go there considering the Braves’ hot hitting as of late. Darvish is my SP1 tonight.

Luis Severino (NYY vs. CWS)

Moneyline: -200

Over/Under: 7 1/2

FanDuel: $7,700/DraftKings: $6,500

Severino looked great in his last start, and Vegas loves the Yankees for the win tonight. The moneyline moved from -180 to -200 overnight, so there’s great upside if he can get the win plus quality start on FD. As a team, the White Sox strikeout quite a big and don’t take a lot of walks. Todd Frazier isn’t starting again, which weakens the White Sox offense.

Marcus Stroman (TOR vs. BOS)

Moneyline: -170

Over/Under: 8 1/2

FanDuel: $8,800/DraftKings: $8,300

Back to the well again tonight with Stroman. He threw a complete game but still got the loss in his last start, but it goes to show what kind of stamina Stroman has been building up towards. The Red Sox are in Toronto for this series, so at least the outdoor elements shouldn’t be in play. Mookie Betts hasn’t struck out since September. Fun fact: the only pitcher to strikeout Betts more than Stroman (who K’d him five times), is R.A. Dickey with six K’s.

Shelby Miller (ARI @ SD)  FanDuel: $7,400/DraftKings: $7,500
