New England Patriots -8 at Indianapolis Colts

This feels like the biggest slam dunk of the year. The Patriots are money in night games and are facing a Colts team can’t stop anyone. They also have extra motivation from the Deflategate scandal as Indianapolis was one of the biggest proponents pushing the NFL to come down on the Patriots. Bill Belichick will try and score 100 in this game if he can. The Patriots will cover the 8 point and then some.

Arizona Cardinals -3.5 at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Cardinals offense is rolling this season and have proven they have can produce on the road. They are facing a Steelers defense that is far from intimating. On offense the Steelers have issues moving the ball on offense outside of Le’Veon Bell. Michael Vick has been uninspiring under center. The Cardinals defense is stout against the run and should be able to slow Pittsburgh’s offense. I expect the Cardinals to get up in this game and win going away.

Carolina Panthers +7 at Seattle Seahawks

This will be the toughest game the Panthers have played all season. That said, I still believe Cam Newton can do enough offensively to put up points on a Seahawks defense that is not playing up to the level of previous season. They don’t have a lot of the depth that they had in previous season. On defense the Panthers have been good and they are expected to get Luke Kuechly back to help it even more. Seattle has not been impressive offensively despite trading for Jimmy Graham. I think Seahawks probably win this game but think the Panthers will do enough on both sides of the ball to cover the 6.5 points

Chicago Bears +3 at Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are a mess on both sides of the ball. They are a poorly coached team with a quarterback in Matthew Stafford that is a turnover machine. It got so bad against a week ago against the Cardinals that Dan Orlovsky was brought in to replace him. The Bears played well on the road a week ago against the Kansas City Chiefs. They should play well again this week despite remaining on the road. I think the Bears should not only cover but have a real shot at winning outright.

San Francisco 49ers +2.5 vs Baltimore Ravens

The San Francisco 49ers looked much better a week ago on the offensive side of the ball. Now they get to head home to face a Ravens team that has issues getting pressure on the quarterback. The Ravens could be without Justin Forsett in this game who has yet to practice this week. The 49ers defense looks much better at home and I expect them to play well. The 49ers will not only cover but win outright.
