Michigan State Spartans +7 at Michigan Wolverines

This line has taken a wild swing from the beginning of the season until now. Before the season, the Spartans were a 7 point favorite. While they have not been as good as some thought they could be, partly due to the injury bug, they are not as bad as this line indicates. Michigan has been impressive with a shutout in each past three weeks. Those wins have come against BYU, Maryland and Northwestern. Not exactly murderer’s row, especially on the offensive side of the ball. I think the Spartans stand up in the game and cover the 7 points despite being on the road.

Florida Gators +7.5 at LSU Tigers

If you love great environments, I’m not sure it gets better than Tiger Stadium at night, especially with 102,000 plus signing “Callin’ Baton Rouge” at the top of their lungs. Les Miles is great in spots like this and Leonard Fournette may be the best player in college football. I still like Florida in this spot. I think both defenses will play well and keep this a close, low scoring game throughout. While Treon Harris is not Will Grier, I think he can do enough with help from running back Kelvin Taylor. I still think the Tigers get the win but Florida will make it very tough on them. Soak up all those points. You likely will get a better number the closer we get to kick off, so patience may be encouraged.

Baylor Bears -21.5 vs West Virginia

This is a revenge spot for Baylor after West Virginia beat them outright in Morgantown. Baylor is a juggernaut on offense. I typically don’t like to take this many points but Carl Joseph is out for the Mountaineer secondary. Skyler Howard has problems on the road and has struggled since getting into conference play. This is also the best Baylor defense that they have had in some time, although I’m not sure that is saying much. Baylor is too much for West Virginia in the long run and covers the 21.5 points.

Iowa Hawkeyes at Northwestern Wildcats Under 41

Both of these teams have very strong defenses. On offense they both can have issues moving the ball and finishing drives scoring touchdowns. Expect a field goal fest in the early window. I think this game will go under pretty easily. This may be a hard watch for those who take the under but you won’t have to sweat cashing.

**Upset Alert**

Kyle Allen

Texas A&M Aggies +4 vs Alabama Crimson Tide

Nick Saban’s defense is set up really well to defend teams that run north/south and use play action. When they face teams that go side-to-side and gash via the deep ball they tend to struggle. This Aggies team has talent on the offensive side of the ball with Kyle Allen, Speedy Noil, Ricky Seals-Jones, and others. Myles Garrett creates havoc in the backfield of the opposing offense. The Bama offense will need a huge game out of Derrick Henry if they want to win this game. I think the Aggie defense will be able to do enough to cause problems for Jake Coker and on offense Texas A&M will put up a ton of points. The Aggies win this game outright!
