NFL DFS Contrarian Plays For Championship Weekend

poop

Some would call it contrarian when I squat in the yard and poop, all in the name of potty training my puppy. Leaders lead by example.

A contrarian is a person who takes up a contrary position, especially a position that is opposed to that of the majority, regardless of how unpopular it may be.

A short slate of playoff football games leaves the daily fantasy football player with very limited choices. You have four games to fill your roster, and the majority of other players will field their teams with highly used plays.

The safe play is smart for head-to-head and 50/50’s for security. However, if you plan on winning any cash in large tournaments, this is a great weekend to put your contrarian hat on. Overlap in teams is not your friend, my friend. Those two or three players that may look bad at first glance, and who most owners passed on, are the guys we want.

Here are some contrarian plays at each position.

All salaries used will be from FanDuel.

QB’s

Seattle and San Francisco have a nice little rivalry brewing. I fully expect the pregame 50 yard line shit talk fest between the two teams. When it happens, if you listen closely, you can hear me shot gunning a beer in excitement. The general perception of this game is that it will be a knock out drag out defensive battle, which is probably true. However, that means most of the contrarian picks will come from this game.

The two least owned QB’s will be in this NFC Championship.

The media darling, Russell Wilson, is the cheapest quarterback on the board this week at $8200. His production over the last 5 games has averaged 10.88 fantasy points per game, which leaves a lot to be desired. This also includes last week’s abysmal 103 pass yards and no touchdown performance. However, he has fared better than Kaepernick in both meetings this year. Not much better, but… better. Listen, he’s not going to win you money himself, but being the contrarian that you are, you know the two QB’s that will be the most owned reside in the AFC. If I am choosing a guy who could be a nice surprise and offer huge upside in a tournament, who also has a 14:5 TD:INT ratio at home, it’s my boy Russ.

Kaepernick has been on a tear the last five games averaging 21.5 fantasy points per game. However, when you look down the game log, weeks 2 and 14 show him having miserable games against the Seahawks. Kaep averaged 151 passing yards, 2 interceptions, .5 touchdowns. He’s a turnover machine against Seattle. So while some will see a streaking Kaepernick, I see a guy who gets owned by the Legion of Boom, especially at his $8900 price tag (which is $200 more than Tommy Brady).

The two AFC quarterbacks will be heavily used. No sneaky plays there. Wilson is our snake in the grass.

RB’s

San Fran has not fared well in their last couple of trips to Seattle, or anyone for that matter. This will scare off most DFS players come roster building time. Let it be known however that Seattle can be run on from time to time. They ended up the 7th best run defense. However, they have surrendered more than 130 total rushing yards in seven contests (just under half their games!). Frank Gore gets a lot of run in the 49er offense. At his $7300 price tag, he is a nice contrarian option as people will steer clear of the Seattle defense.

New England will attempt to control the clock, keeping the ball out of Peyton’s hands, and the NE running backs will benefit.  Belichek’s heavy usage of LeGarrette Blount is causing a lot of attention, and therefore shooting his salary to $8200. However, the thought that this game will not be a shootout is hard to fathom, and when the Patriot’s throw, Shane Vereen is in the game. Vereen has a modest price tag at $6000 and has a ton of upside. Vereen is where I am hanging my hat in all tournaments I enter.

WR’s

Doug Baldwin plays very well against the 49ers and will most likely be covered by Carlos Rogers. Rogers is dealing with a hamstring injury, which is great news for Baldwin owners. He’s a nice cheap play at WR this week. If you are really feeling ballsy, you could roll the dice on the most boom or bust WR on the Seattle roster, Golden Tate. Tate did find room against the 49ers last time they played going for 6 catches and 65 yards.

To say Anquan Boldin will not be heavily owned may not true. However, he does give owners reason for pause due to his volatility and the fact that he was held to one catch for seven yards in the last meeting. However, he shook free for 6-93 in early December against Seattle, and in the last four games Boldin has average 98.75 yards and .5 touchdowns.

TE’s

The tight end situation sucks. Play Julius Thomas. If you are feeling frisky, and really want to push the contrarian envelope, consider… just kidding, play Thomas.

Recap of my contrarian calls: Russell Wilson, Frank Gore, Shane Vereen, Doug Baldwin, Anquan Boldin

So there they are boys and girls, your contrarian Divisional Championship daily plays. Enjoy the games. Who did I miss? Tell me on Twitter, @EHaleYea.

FanDuel

By Evan Hale, @EHaleYea

Top 3s

QB

Tony Romo $8600 @ WAS

Andy Dalton $8400 vs MIN

Kirk Cousins $7000 vs DAL

BOR: Romo and Cousins take on each other’s putrid defenses. Should be a high scoring affair as both defenses are top 15 in fantasy points allowed to QBs. Minnesota, however, is 2nd in points allowed to QBs. The Dalton/Green stack should be solid.

RB

LeSean McCoy $9700 vs CHI

Zac Stacy vs TB $7400

Joique Bell $6600 vs NYG

BOR: LeSean is whom I’ll be spending money on for RBs. Buyer beware: if Dallas wins, Philly will essentially have nothing to play for. Bell still has great value across the industry, and Detroit should beat up on the Giants at home.

WR

Calvin Johnson $9900 vs NYG

Pierre Garcon $7300 vs DAL

Cordarrelle Patterson $5800 @ CIN

BOR: As previously stated, the Lions will beat up on the lowly Giants, and Megatron will eat. Garcon will benefit from the Cowboys secondary absolutely sucking, and I still like Patterson with that price tag.

TE

Jimmy Graham $7700 @ CAR

Jason Witten $6300 @ WAS

Delanie Walker $5100 @ JAX

BOR: Washington allows the 5th most fantasy points to tight ends, and Witten has been owning as of late. The tight end slate is pretty weak this week, so I will try my damndest to get Graham in most of my line ups as I see a huge rebound week for him.

Stack Attacks

CIN: Andy Dalton $8400 and AJ Green $8600

WAS: Kirk Cousins $7000 and Pierre Garcon $7300

NE: Tom Brady $9000 and Julian Edelman $6700

Expert Roster

$60K Salary Cap

QB: Kirk Cousins $7000

RB: Joique Bell $6600

RB: Frank Gore $6300

WR: Calvin Johnson $9900

WR: Julian Edelman $6700

WR: Cordarrelle Patterson $5800

TE: Jimmy Graham

K: Greg Zurlein

D/ST: Green Bay $5000

BOR: I love the floor that these two running backs give me, and the upside Calvin and Jimmy throw into the mix. This is a great line up for H2H’s and 50/50’s. Enjoy!

Draft Kings

By Eric Florin, @That_RedGuy

Top 3

QB:

Kirk Cousins, WAS vs DAL $7,800

Tony Romo, DAL @ WAS $7,400

Ryan Fitzpatrick, TEN @ JAX $5,500

BOR: If the Dallas defense can make Matt Flynn look good, I can only imagine how Cousins is going to look on Sunday. Cousins did have a couple of turnovers last week, but he came back strong once he got in rhythm. Cousins is great bet this week to give you value for his  current price tag. In fantasy or DFS, all we care about is if the players put up points or not. We don’t care how pretty it looks or if it’s garbage time or not. Romo is the perfect example of this he may throw a late INT to lose the game, but if he throws 4 TDs in that game, do you really care? Don’t let Romo’s late game miscues stop you from using him, he’s has another great matchup this week.

RB:

Alfred Morris, WAS vs DAL $5,700

Giovani Bernard, CIN vs MIN $5,000

Ryan Matthews, SD vs OAK $7,400

BOR:  Bernard continues to be an extremely undervalued PPR RB this year. He is getting more goal line carries, making him a good bet for a TD. The Bengals have done a great job this year of keeping Bernard fresh for the end of the season, it will not be long before the unleash him. I would not be surprised if you looked up most hated RBs before the start of this season, Ryan Matthews name would come up (probably more than once). More people were down on Matthews this year than there were supporters of his. I will admit I was one of the many that were down on him. Matthews has had a great year, and he has done so somewhat under the radar. He is 9th in the NFL in rushing yards.

WR:

Pierre Garçon, WAS vs $DAL $6,300

AJ Green, CIN vs MIN $7,500

Desean Jackson, PHI vs CHI $7,400

BOR: All three of these WRs are in the top 10 in points per game on Draft Kings. And you can get them for these prices?  That’s an absolute steal. It is just an added bonus that all three are facing bottom teams against the pass.

TE:

Charles Clay, MIA @ BUF $3,900

Jermaine Gresham, CIN vs MIN $3,100

Scott Chandler,BUF vs MIA $3,000

BOR: When people see Scott Chandler all they see is just a red-zone target. Well Chandler is becoming more and more of a consistent target for EJ Manuel. Chandler has not scored since week 6, he’s has to be due for a score right? A Sunday against the Dolphins defense may be just what Chandler needs.

Stack Attack

CIN: Andy Dalton $7,500/AJ Green $7,500

PIT: Ben Roethlisberger $7,200/ Antonio Brown $7,800

DAL: Tony Romo $7,600/ Dez Bryant $7,600

Expert Roster

Salary 50k

QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick $5,500

RB: Jamaal Charles $9,300

RB: Giovani Bernard $5,000

WR: AJ Green $7,500

WR: Josh Gordon $8,000

TE: Scott Chandler $3,000

FLEX: Pierre Garcon $6,300

K: Nick Folk $3,000

D/ST: Cowboys $1,900

BOR: Did Christmas come early? Because that is exactly what I was thinking when I was putting this roster together. I went back and forth a couple of times, on whether or not I wanted to roll with a Dalton/Green stack. However, the fact that I believe that Fitzpatrick will put up the same amount of points, if not outscore Dalton, is the reason I went with him. Now I may tweak this lineup a little, but I really do feel like this lineup can win you and me some money this week!

Draft Street

By Andy Getry, @PatsFever24

QB

Nick Foles vs Bears $14,573

Phillip Rivers vs Oakland $13,189

Kirk Cousins Vs Dallas $13,020

BOR: I used Foles last week and he didn’t disappoint. Throwing for 428 yards, 3 TD’S, 41 rushing yards, and a whopping 38 fantasy points. Now he faces the gummy Bears and their very weak defense. Foles is a top 5 QB this week with a real shot at being the number one QB. Cousins took over starting gig last week, and delivered the mail for 380 yards passing and 3 TD’S. Now he faces Dallas and that terrible defense. Matt Flynn looked like Aaron Rodgers last week against them… during the second half. Cousins will be a top 10 QB this week. Watch Cousins and the Skins scalp the Cowgirls. Rivers is another fantasy surprise this year.  He has passed for over 4,000 yards, 28 TD’S, and only 9 INT’S. Rivers gets the Raiders this week, a team last week that allowed almost 60 points to KC. With a potential playoff spot at stake for SD, expect Rivers to send Oakland up the rivers without any paddles.

RB

DeMarco Murray at Washington $13,572

Le’Veon Bell at GB $12,369

Alfred Morris vs Dallas $11,686

BOR: Murray is getting better each week. The only thing that stopped Murray from rushing for 200 plus yards last week was the bone headed play calling from Dallas. With that being said, Murray rushed for 134 yards with 1 TD on only 18 carries and another 4 catches for 20 yards. Now he gets the very bad run defense from Washington. You could easily be looking at the top RB this week if Dallas uses Murray the right way. Bell has been a force since coming back from injury. He is averaging almost 22 fantasy points a game this season. Bell now gets the Packers, and will be slicing and dicing the Cheese Heads. Morris has been one of most consistent backs over the last 2 years. This year he averages almost 23 fantasy points a game. Could be a lot more if not for the dumb play calling and the way the head coach uses him. Playing the Cowboys this week could have Morris yelling “Yee-ha”.

WR

Antonio Brown at GB $12,637

Keenan Allen vs Oakland $11,123

Rod Streater at SD $8,638

BOR: Brown and Allen are fantasy studs. Each week they are the gifts that keep on giving. The last two weeks, Allen has averaged almost 23 fantasy points, which include 4 TD’S as well. Brown has averaged a whopping 28 fantasy points over his last two games. Both play very bad defenses this week. Expect Brown and Allen to help lead your team to the fantasy title this week. Streater has become Oakland’s best WR. The last 2 weeks he’s had almost 200 yards and a TD. Expect Streater to join in the festivities in this very high scoring game against SD.

TE

Delanie Walker at Jacksonville $8,278

Greg Olsen vs NO $8,345

Martellus Bennett at Philadelphia $6,663

BOR: Walker is one of the hottest TEs around. Last week he had 8 catches for 53 yards and a TD. Those are stats you will take every week from your TE. Walker now gets Jacksonville and their very poor defense.  Expect Walker’s numbers to exceed last weeks total by a lot. Olsen has been a top 5 TE all season. He has 740 yards and 5 TD’S this season. Very respectable numbers from the TE position with several games left. Playing the Saints this week with first place on the line, expect Olsen to add to his already great totals. Bennett gets an Eagle defense soaring backwards lately.  With must wins on the line for both teams, expect Bennett to eat the Eagles defense for lunch.  Start him with confidence this week.

Stack Attacks

Pittsburgh: Ben Roethlisberger $13,4888 and Antonio Brown $12,637

Philadelphia: Nick Foles $14,573 and Desean Jackson$12,292

San Diego: Phillip Rivers $13,189  and Keenan Allen $11,123

Expert Roster

100,000 Salary Cap

QB: Kurt Cousins $13,020

QB: Phillip Rivers$13,189

RB: DeMarco Murray $13,572

RB: Alfred Morris $11,686

WR: Ace Sanders $6,590

WR: Riley Cooper $7,535

TE: Delanie Walker $8,278

FLEX: Le’Veon Bell $12,369

FLEX: Gio Bernard $10,337

D/ST: Jacksonville $3,075

Total:$99,651

BOR: Once again sticking to what has been successful.  Using several value players like Sanders and Cooper allows me to stack 4 stud RB’S, 2 stud QB’S, a stud TE, and a very good match up defense this week. This team has the makings of another successful week. So get ready for another profitable week.

FanDuel

By Evan Hale, @EHaleYea

Top 3s

QB

Kirk Cousins $5100 @ ATL

Nick Foles $9200 @ MIN

Matthew Stafford $9300 vs BAL

BOR: RG3 is shut down this week, and possibly the year. When Cousins gets a chance to take starter reps for a week of preparation, he shines. Play him at this bottom barrel price. Foles’ price has steadily climbed, and for good reason. This week he will beat up on a Vikings defense that gives up the second most fantasy points to QBs.

RB

Rashad Jennings $7000 vs KC

Shane Vereen $7600 @ MIA

Alfred Morris $6400 @ ATL

BOR: Jennings will resume his full workload this week, and is a great contrarian play this week. The Chiefs have not been that efficient in stopping the run, and Jennings will most likely not be owned in many lineups. I love how Vereen keeps getting more and more active in this Patriots offense. Brady will rely even more on Vereen as an outlet with Gronk out for the year. Cousins will likely be handing the rock off to Morris to control the clock against Miami. Morris’s role will skyrocket as he is not competing against his QB for rushing yards.

WR

Josh Gordon $9900 vs CHI

Antonio Brown $8000 @PIT

Cordarrelle Patterson $5600 vs PHI

BOR: Just play Flash Gordon. Just effing do it.  Same with Antonio Brown. High floors with even higher ceilings. Patterson is your low cost, high upside, solid matchup guy for this week.

TE

Jimmy Graham $8200 @ STL

Tony Gonzalez $5300 vs WAS

Delanie Walker $4800

BOR: Jimbo’s your only elite tight end now that Gronk is done for the year, and his salary compared to elite players at other positions is still too low not to play. Tony G. has a nice match up with Washington, in a game which should be a shoot out. Play any tight end against Arizona, and this week that guy is Walker.

Stack Attacks

WAS: Kirk Cousins $5100 and Pierre Garcon $6800

CHI: Josh McCown $7200 and Alshon Jeffery $7800

SF: Collin Kaepernick $7800 and Vernon Davis $6100

Expert Roster

$60K Salary Cap

QB Kirk Cousins $5100

RB Shane Vereen $7600

RB Alfred Morris $6400

WR Josh Gordon $9900

WR Jordy Nelson $6300

WR Aaron Dobson $6200

TE Jimmy Graham $8200

K Dan Bailey $5000

D/ST Indianapolis $5000

BOR: Cousins and my cheap running backs give me a great value and solid floors at each position. They also allow me to stack all my other positions. Gordon is the hottest receiver walking the earth. Jordy’s current tear will continue against a horrible Dallas defense, and Dobson will get more looks with Gronk gone. Enjoy!

Draft Kings

By Eric Florin, @That_RedGuy

Top 3

QB:

Jason Campbell vs. CHI $6,000

Alex Smith @OAK $7,300

Ryan Tannehill vs. NE $7,600

BOR: What would you say if I told you that in the 5 games that Jason Campbell has started this season, he has finished with at least 26 points in 4 of those games? You would probably think that I am drunk or looking at the wrong player. Well, I can assure you that neither of those is true. But start him against the Chicago Bears who are ranked in the top 10 in least fantasy points allowed to opposing QBs? If you look at the QBs that they have NOT given up 20 or more points to, you would see that could be the main reason why they are ranked 7th. Those QBs they held under 20 points are exactly having the best seasons. So do not let the ranking of the Bears defense scary you off, roll with Campbell with confidence.

RB:

Steven Jackson vs.WAS $5,900

Zac Stacy vs. NO $6,400

Alfred Morris @ATL $5,900

BOR: Jackson’s running has been much improved lately, as he has ran for 70 yards or more the last two games. He’s finally looking healthy. Lucky for Jackson he gets to face the Redskins defense this week that has given up 5 TDs and over 5 yards per carry to opposing backs over the last 2 games. Jackson is great option to use as your RB/Flex this week.

WR:

Da’ Rick Rodgers vs. HOU $4,700

Roddy White vs.WAS $5,900

Antonio Brown vs.CIN $7,500

BOR:  For those who do not play dynasty football or follow college football closely, last week was the first you heard about Da’ Rick Rodgers. This kid is one of those players that every analyst said that character was the question, but talent was not. So do not go thinking for one second that last week was a fluke. He is a very talented receiver, and he will continue to be targeted heavily. Rodgers is great flex play this week, as he will likely lead the Colts in targets again.

TE:

Jacob Tamme vs. SD $3,000

Jermaine Gresham @PIT $3,800

Jordan Cameron vs. CHI $5,100

BOR: My recommendation to start Tamme is a pure gut feel for me. It’s a Thursday night game, which for fantasy purposes this year has been a black hole. Peyton always has one receiver that he can trust, that he knows he’s going to get open. Tamme has been that guy this year when he has filled in. Peyton just has chemistry with him. With Welker out this week I see the Broncos running a lot of two TE sets.

Stack Attack

ATL: Matt Ryan $6,900 and Roddy White $5,900

PIT: Ben Roethlisberger $7,600 and Antonio Brown $7,500

KC: Alex Smith $7,300 and Dwayne Bowe $5,900

Expert Roster

Salary $50k

QB: Jason Campbell $6,000

RB: Zac Stacy $6,400

RB: Steven Jackson $5,600

WR: Roddy White $5,900

WR: Antonio Brown $7,500

TE: Jimmy Graham $7,500

FLEX: T.Y Hilton $5,600

K: Garrett Hartley $3,000

D/ST: Vikings $2,300

BOR: This may be one of my favorite lineups I have done on Draft Kings. I think all of these guys are capable of out producing their expected value, especially Campbell, White, and S-Jax. Their price tag puts them in the lower tier when I think they all have a chance to finish the week as top 10 scorers at their positions.

Draft Street

By Andy Getry, @PatsFever24

Top 3s

QB:

Nick Foles at Minnesota $14,676

Jason Campbell vs Chicago $12,264

Ryan Tannehill vs New England $11,928

BOR: Foles has been one of the QB surprises this year, averaging almost 27 fantasy points over his 7 starts. Now he gets the very weak passing defense of the Vikings. His reasonable salary and high projections make him a top 5 QB this week. Tannehill is averaging 23 fantasy points a game over last 3 weeks and faces New England that just allowed Jason Campbell to look like Peyton Manning.  With his very low salary and high projections, Tannehill will be a sleeper QB this week. Over last three games, Campbell is averaging almost 28 fantasy points a game. His very low salary against the Bears defense, that is one of the worst in the league, means lots of fantasy points without costing you a lot. Watch Campbell turn the Bears into nothing more than gummy bears.

RB

DeMarco Murray vs GB $11,819

Shane Vereen at Miami $13,020

Alfred Morris at ATL $10,675

BOR: Murray and Vereen were players I used last week and they were amazing. So if it ain’t broke, why fix it? Murray leads the league averaging around 5 yards per carry, and has put together almost 27 fantasy points over the last 4 games. Now he gets a very poor run defense in GB. Vereen the receiving machine didn’t disappoint last week with 12 catches for over 150 yards. Over the last 4 games, he is averaging around 20 fantasy points per game. With Gronk out, Vereen could be pushing 20 targets this week. Morris has been one of the most consistent RBs this season; averaging almost 23 fantasy points a game this season. Now he gets one of the worst run defenses in football.  Morris is fantasy gold this week.

WR

Riley Cooper at Minnesota $9,976

Josh Gordon vs Chicago $15,906

Cordarrelle Patterson vs Philadelphia $7,099

BOR: Cooper been on a roll, and is a fantasy surprise this year. Now he faces a weak passing defense. Expect Cooper to have the birds soaring this week. Patterson has insane talent and Minnesota is finally figuring out how to use him. Over last 7 games he is averaging almost 20 fantasy points. With AP expected to miss this game, expect Minnesota to find ways for him to touch the ball. His low salary makes him a fantasy find this week. Gordon just set NFL record with 774 yards over last 4 games, or an insane 193.5 yards a game. He missed first two games this season, had no training camp, and still has 1400 yards (tops the NFL), 71 catches (13th in NFL), and 8 TD (11TH in NFL). This guy is worth every penny.

TE

Jordan Cameron vs Chicago $8,858

Charles Clay vs New England $8,087

Coby Fleener vs Houston $8,259

BOR: Cameron finally came back last week with 121 yards and a TD. Now he faces the gummy Bears weak pass defense. Expect the 3 headed monster of Gordon, Campbell, and Cameron to lead your team to fantasy paradise. Clay is Tannehill’s favorite target. Last week he had 97 yards and 2 TD’S. Clay should turn the Patriot’s defense into putty. Fleener has been Luck’s top WR since he lost his top WR, Reggie Wayne. Playing a Houston team that is the biggest disappointment in NFL this year, will make Fleener a top 10 TE this week. Start him with confidence.

Stack Attacks:

Philadelphia:  Nick Foles $14,676 and Riley Cooper$9,796

New England: Tom Brady $12,762 and Shane Vereen $13,020

Cleveland:  Jason Campbell $12,264 and Josh Gordon $15,006

Expert Roster:

$100,000 Salary Cap

QB:  Jason Campbell $12,264

QB: Ryan Tannehill $11,928

RB: DeMarco Murray $11,819

RB: Shane Vereen $13,020

WR: Alshon Jeffery $12,396

WR: Andre Holmes$5,516

TE: Charles Clay $8,087

FLEX: Alfred Morris $10,675

FLEX: Jordan Todman $5,819

D/ST: Carolina $7,928

Total : $99,452

BOR:  Todman and Holmes have insanely low salaries, and allow me to form my dream team. They allow me to stack the rest of my team with 3 top 10 running backs, a top 5 WR, top 10 TE,  2 very hot QB’S, and this week’s top Defense. This team has 24 carrot gold written all over it. Come Tuesday morning, you will need to go on diet from all that cash weighing you down.

Fan Duel

By Evan Hale, @EHaleYea

Top 3’s

QB

Nick Foles $9,000 vs DET

Alex Smith $7,700 @ WAS

Josh McCown $7,200 vs DAL

BOR: Foles should be involved in a high scoring game, and his efficiency can not be overlooked. However, I’l’ be rolling with McCown in the majority of line ups due to his great salary, awesome targets, and the fact he is facing a Dallas defense that gives up the 2nd most fantasy points to quarterbacks.

RB

Knowshon Moreno $8,300 vs TEN

Eddie Lacy $7,000 vs ATL

Joique Bell $5,500 @ PHI

BOR: Knowshon has a great matchup at home against a terrible run defense. Joique Bell has been finding the endzone lately (2 TD’s in last 3 games), and it looks like Detroit is incorporating him more and more into the offense. He’s a bargain at $5.5K.

WR

Alshon Jeffrey $7,800 vs DAL- How is this man’s salary not higher by now? Dallas’s secondary gives up tons of yards, should be a nice outing.

DeSean Jackson $7,000 vs DET- gives up 3rd most fantasy points to WR’s.

Rueben Randle $5,100 @ SD– gives up 4th most fantasy points to WR’s.

BOR: Randle is the obvious value play this week for me against a weak San Diego secondary. Alshon displayed his ceiling last weekend, and if he reaches ¾ of that, he will more than pay for his salary.

TE

Zach Ertz $5,200 vs DET- Foles is developing a nice chemistry with Ertz as he has pulled in 3 TD’s in the last 3 games.

Ladarius Green $5,200 vs NYG- Green is Rivers’ new favorite target, and the Giants give up the 9th most points to tight ends.

Heath Miller $4,900 vs MIA- Miller is getting a ton a decent amount of targets lately, and faces a Miami defense who are very lax on defending tight ends. His salary is too low not to consider.

BOR: Tight end is filled with bottom barrel guys with nice upside. Foles and Ertz have developed a nice chemistry as of late, hauling 3 TD’s in last 3 games. Green is a newly found stud in San Diego and faces a generous Giant’s defense. However, Miller will rostered in many of my line ups due to his crazy low salary, amount of consistent targets he receives on a weekly basis, and soft Miami defense in defending tight ends.

Stack Attacks

CHI: Josh McCown $7,200 and Alshon Jeffrey $7,800

SD: Philip Rivers $8,500 and Ladarius Green $5,200

DAL: Tony Romo $8,600 and Terrence Williams $4,600

Expert Roster

$60K Salary Cap

QB: Josh McCown $7,200

RB: Knowshon Moreno $8,300

RB: Matt Forte $8,600

WR: Alshon Jeffrey $7,800

WR: Andre Johnson $7,800

WR: Rueben Randle $5,100

TE: Ladarius Green $5,200

K: Matt Prater $5,000

D/ST: Baltimore $5,000

BOR: McCown, Randle, and Green make this roster click and potent in cash games. Johnson will shred the Jacksonville defense, as will Forte in Dallas. Love these higher priced guys, and the balance with the high floor bargain players.

Draft Kings

By Eric Florin, @That_RedGuy

Top 3’s

QB

Alex Smith @WASH $7,400

Joe Flacoo vs.MIN $7,000

Matt Ryan @GB $6,900

BOR: Alex Smith continues to get the wrap as a game manager, but did you know that Smith has been a top 12 QB this season? There have been only three games this season where Smith has not put up more than 10 fantasy points. What makes Smith an even more appealing option this week is that he plays the Redskins, who give up the 5th most yards after the catch this season. Many believe Matt Ryan has been a disappointment this year. However, since week 7 he has put up 20 points or more 3 times. In that span he has faced the Panthers, Seahawks, Saints all three are top 10 defenses, and Ryan still put up respectable numbers. With Roddy White getting healthy and a growing trust in Harry Douglas, Ryan should be a QB1 option again this week.

RB

Ben Tate @JAX $5,900

Eddie Lacy vs.ATL $7,400

Demarco Murray @CHI $7,400

BOR: Going up against the Jaguars who give up at least one touchdown a game, I love Tate this week. Now temper expectations, Tate will not score 3 TDs again, but he will be good for at least 70 yards and a score. Since Rodgers has been out Eddie Lacy has continued to see stacked boxes, forcing the Packers to throw the ball. Whatever the Falcons decide to do on Sunday it will not help, they can put 10 in the box and they will not stop Lacy. They have given up a minimum 100 rushing yards in each of the last 6 games.

WR

Larry Fitzgerald vs.STL $6,900

Riley Cooper vs. DET $6,400

Roddy White @GB $6,200

BOR:  Fitzgerald has been on FIRE lately, scoring at least one touchdown in the last three games. In his career Fitz has 15 rec TDs against the Rams. That’s the Roddy White we were all hoping to see this year. Clearly his ankle and hamstring injuries limited him, but Sunday he looked back to form. Roddy did come out and said that he will not be 100% till next season, he is grinding it out. Do not let that lead you to believe that Roddy will not put up good numbers the rest of the way, he’s back to being a reliable option.

TE

Ladarius Green vs.NYG $4,000

Jared Cook @ARI $3,800

Heath Miller vs.MIA $3,800

BOR: Jared Cook is currently second in targets on the Rams this season, receiving an average of 6 targets a game. To add on here Cook is going up against a team that has allowed 14 TDs to opposing TE’s this season.

Stack Attack

ATL: Matt Ryan 6,900/ Roddy White 6,200/ Harry Douglass 5,600

BAL: Joe Flacoo 7,000/ Torrey Smith 6,700/ Jacoby Jones 3,700

ARI: Carson Palmer 7,800/ Larry Fitzgerald 6,900/ Michael Floyd 6,300

Expert Roster

Salary 50k

QB: Matt Ryan 6,900

RB: Matt Forte 8,100

RB: Shane Vereen 6,700

WR: Roddy White 6,200

WR: Riley Cooper 6,400

TE: Dallas Clark 3,000

FLEX: Vincent Jackson 6,500

K: Dan Carpenter 3,000

D/ST: Colts 2,300

BOR: Love this roster this week I may make some changes before I submit it for contests on Sunday. My only uncertainties are Cooper and Jackson. The only reason is because there are so many good options this week. The rest of this roster, with the exception Clark, is absolute gold! Now, Clark is a nice cheap option who is unlikely to put a goose egg. Good luck this week! Any DFS or fantasy questions you got, send them my way via twitter, ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP!

By Andy Getry, @PatsFever24

Top 3’s

QB

Tom Brady vs Cleveland $14,513

Mike Glennon vs Buffalo $9,839

Nick Foles vs Detroit $13,860

BOR: Brady has been Tom-terrific again, averaging almost 23 fantasy points a game over last 4 games. Now he is facing a team coming off a loss to a very bad Jaguars team. His high projections and reasonable salary make him a very attractive play.  Glennon has been a very nice surprise this year, facing a very bad pass defense. His very low salary and high projections make him the fantasy QB sleeper this week. Foles, the fantasy surprise of the year has become a top 10 QB this year. Over the last 4 games, he is averaging a whopping 31 fantasy points a game. Playing Foles will have you soaring like an Eagle.

RB

Demarco Murray at Chicago $12,174

Shane Vereen vs Cleveland $10,153

Steven Jackson  at GB $8,783

BOR: Murray is playing at a very high level again. With the combination of the injury to Dunbar, and one of the worst rushing defenses in football, on the big stage of Monday night football make Murray a top  5 RB this week.  Vereen, the recieving machine. He is the only back you can trust in New England. His versatility against a very weak defense makes him a fantastic play this week. If you’re in a PPR league he is a stud. Action Jackson is back in the nick of time for your fantasy playoff run. Over last 2 games he is averaging 27 fantasy points a game while scoring 3 TD’S as well. Facing a very bad run defense with a very fair salary, make him a top 10 play this week.

WR

Harry Douglas at GB $9,343

Josh Gordon at New England $13,013

Michael Floyd vs STL $9,878

BOR:  Over the last 3 games, Floyd is averaging over 20 fantasy points a game. Facing a very poor secondary, expect Floyd to help lead your fantasy team to the championship. Douglas has been a target machine. Over last 5 games, he is averaging over 12 targets per game. The combination of being a targets and playing a very poor pass defense makes Douglas fantasy gold this week. Josh has become one of the top 2 WR’s in football.  His ability to catch the ball no matter who throws it to him is just insane. If he had a QB like Brees/Manning, he would be pushing 2,000 yards and 10 plus TD’S.  He is a monster. He is one of the few players worth his salary each and every week. His high projections against a weak secondary make him a must start.

TE

Rob Gronkowski vs Cleveland $12,785

Heath Miller vs Miami $6,468

Coby Fleener at Cincinnati $6,483

BOR: Fleener and Miller are both playing their top football now. Their reasonable salaries and high projections make them very nice plays this week. Gronk is a freak. His ability to get open and catch the ball is nuts. Gronk will have a field day against a very bad passing defense. Expect Gronk to be the number one TE this week.

Stack Attacks:

Pitts: Ben Roethlisberger $10,608 and Antonio Brown $10,678

Tampa:  Mike Glennon $9,839 and Vincent Jackson $10,314

Arizona: Carson Palmer $11,406 and Michael Floyd $9,878

Expert Roster:

$100,000 Salary Cap

QB: Tony Romo $12,731

QB: Mike Glennon $9,839

RB: Demarco Murray $12,174

RB: Steven Jackson $8,783

WR:  Josh Gordon $13,013

WR: Cordarrelle Patterson $4,840

TE: Rob Gronkowski $12,785

FLEX: Shane Vereen $10,153

FLEX: Alfred Morris $8,882

D/ST: Baltimore $6,325

Total: $99,525

BOR:  Patterson’s (sleeper WR of the week) very low salary allows me to form this dream line up. His insanely low salary allows me to stack the rest of the line up with a top tight end, top wide receiver, top defense, top quarterback, and 4 very hot running backs. Expect your pockets to weigh you down with all the extra cash this week.

Fan Duel

By Evan Hale, @EHaleYea

Top 3’s

QB

Tony Romo $9000 vs Oak

Cam Newton $8600 vs TB

Eli Manning $6500 @ Was

BOR: Romo and Newton face secondaries that have given up the 10th and 7th most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Washington’s defense is horrible, and their offense can’t stay on the field, Eli will have plenty of opportunity.

RB

Jamaal Charles $9600 vs Den

Rashad Jennings $6700 @ Dal- give up most fan pts to RB

C.J. Spiller $5700 vs Atl

BOR: Expecting KC to be in catch up mode, and Alex Smith loves to dump the ball off to Charles. Jennings faces the horrible Cowboys run D on Thanksgiving, and C.J. is coming off a bye against the Falcons who have mailed this season in.

WR

A.J. Green $8800 @ SD

Josh Gordon $8400 vs Jax

Alshon Jeffery $6200 @ Min

BOR: San Diego and Minnesota give up the 3rd and 6th most fantasy points to wide outs, so A.J. and Alshon will eat. Josh Gordon can’t be ignored anymore, especially against Jacksonville.

TE

Jordan Cameron $5700 vs Jax

Martellus Bennett $5400 @ Min

Jordan Reed $5500 vs NYG

BOR: Cameron plays Jacksonville who allows the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends and Martellus will benefit from Minnesota giving up the 5th most fantasy points to tight ends. RGIII clearly missed his security valve on Monday night and will welcome Reed back with open arms.

Stack Attacks

SF: Collin Kaepernick $7900 and Anquan Boldin $5900

Cle: Jason Campbell $5800 and Jordan Cameron $5700

Ari: Carson Palmer $7300 and Michael Floyd $6300

Turkey Day BONUS Expert Roster

$60K Salary Cap

QB: Tony Romo $9000

RB: Eddie Lacy $7500

RB: Rashad Jennings $6700

WR: Jarrett Boykin $6500

WR: Jerricho Cotchery $5000

WR: Calvin Johnson $10100

TE: Heath Miller $4700

K: David Akers $5000

Def: Dallas $5500

BOR: Romo faces a very giving Oakland secondary, and on the other side of the ball, Rashad Jennings will attack a very gracious Dallas front seven. Jennings’ and Lacy’s generous prices allow me to load up my wide receivers with Megatron and target monster Boykin.

Sunday ONLY Expert Roster

$60K Salary Cap

QB: Cam Newton $8600

RB: Jamaal Charles $9600

RB: C.J. Spiller $5700

WR: A.J. Green $8800

WR: Alshon Jeffery $6200

WR: Dwayne Bowe $5300

TE: Jordan Reed $5500

K: Robbie Gould $5000

D/ST: New England $5100

BOR: Cam Newton keeps progressing, and his salary is still manageable. Charles will eat against Denver, and catch a ton of balls out of the backfield this week. A.J. and Alshon have great matchups, and Bowe should get some involved in a shootout.

Draft Kings

By Eric Florin, @That_RedGuy

Top 3’s

QB:

E.J. Manuel vs. ATL $5,900

Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. IND $6,300

Josh McCown @MIN $6,400

BOR: I think many people forgot how well E.J. Manuel was playing before he was injured (averaging at least 16 fantasy points). Manuel did look shaky his first game back, but since that game he put up 22 fantasy points against the Jets and had a bye week, giving him time to shake off any potential rust. Need more to convince you? Fine, the Falcons defense has not given up less than 17 fantasy points to opposing QBs this season. I’ll repeat myself just in case. The Atlanta Falcons defense has not given up less than 17 fantasy points to opposing QBs this season. It’s always an awesome feeling when you are adamant about a player doing well, and then having them performs up to expectations. Just in case you missed the article last week, Fitzpatrick is adding on to his numbers now, averaging 268.6 passing yards over the past three games to go with six TDs. Oh, and the Colts have allowed multiple passing scores in four of the past five. As much as I love Fitzpatrick, my love for McCown has really shown. McCown is making his third appearance on my side of the Ultimate DFS guide. I can’t help it. He has produced, outscoring QBs like Brees, Stafford, and Peyton Manning last week. It helps that he has had great match ups, but that’s not changing this week either, the Vikings allow the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

RB:

Reggie Bush vs. GB $7,100

Giovani Bernard @SD $5,400

Fred Jackson vs. ATL $5,600

BOR: The Packers are allowing at least one touchdown to RB’s over the last five games, along with allowing an average of 150 yards on the ground the last four games. Bush will end his TD drought and get back in the end-zone. Giovani Bernard is a top 10 RB in a PPR format, and he is facing the Chargers, who have surrendered 129 yards per game this season to RBs and have surrendered seven rushing TD’s. Bernard is an absolute steal, as he is extremely undervalued. Fred Jackson production has tailed off quite a bit, and mainly because he has not rushed for TD in the last three games. It could be that he has hit a wall and his legs are giving on him. However, on the bright side Jackson is coming off a bye and is facing the Falcons who rank 25th good combination for low end RB1 numbers, making Jackson a great buy for your roster.

WR:

Victor Cruz @WAS $7,100

Percy Harvin vs. NO $4,500

Harry Douglas @BUF $6,500

BOR: Since week 7 Harry Douglas is second in receiving yards to you guessed it, Calvin Johnson. What I am trying to say here is that, since week 7, Harry Douglas is tearing it up. This is a bounce back game for Cruz. I know the Giants passing game have been extremely unreliable this season, but Cruz has been the one constant. It helps that they are facing the Redskins, who lead the league in missed tackles. Percy Harvin is a great boom/bust play this week. He is coming off a bye week, which allowed Harvin to get more in game shape making it likely that he will not be on a snap count against the Saints. The Saints have been pretty good against the pass this season, however the loss of Jabari Greer showed last Thursday against the Falcons.

TE:

Julius Thomas @KC $5,000

Jordan Reed vs. NYG $4,500

Ladarius Green vs. CIN $3,000

BOR: For many that don’t know, Ladarius Green has been the tight-end in waiting in SD. I suppose the Chargers got tired of waiting. Green has 80 yards in last two games, along with a TD last week. They are finding ways to get him involved, and that will continue. He is a good option to help you maximize your roster this week. For the other TE’s, Reed and Thomas, they have extremely cheap value because they did not play last week. You must make sure they are active, and if they are, get them into lineups.

Stack Attacks

CHI: Josh McCown $6,400 and Brandon Marshall $9,200 /Alson Jeffery $6,400

NYG: Eli Manning $6,300 and Victor Cruz $7,100/Rueben Randle $4,700

BUF: E.J. Manuel $5,900 and Robert Woods $3,400

BONUS Turkey Day Expert Roster

Salary 50k

QB: Tony Romo 7,700

RB: Reggie Bush 7,100

RB: Joique Bell 3,000

WR: Dez Bryant 7,700

WR: Calvin Johnson 10,600

TE: Mychal Rivera 3,000

FLEX: Rod Streater 4,300

D/ST: Detroit 2,500

K: David Akers 3,000

BOR: This roster is a little something special for our readers who are going to roll out a roster, on Thanksgiving Day. I had to absorb somewhat of hit at my RB2 spot to have Calvin in my lineup, but it was well worth it. Not only did I do this because I believe Calvin will do well, but mainly because I did not trust any of the other WRs. If you continue to read below you will find out about making sacrifices for your daily roster.

Expert Roster

Salary 50k

QB: E.J. Manuel 5,900

RB: Matt Forte 8,000

RB: Shane Vereen 6,500

WR: Harry Douglas 6,500

TE: Mychal Rivera 3,000

FLEX: Giovani Bernard 5,400

K: Dan Carpenter 3,000

D/ST: Tennessee 2,300

BOR: Sometimes while making a DFS roster you have to make some sacrifices. There are three positions I am completely fine with making sacrifices at, TE, D/ST, and kicker. Unless you are rolling with Gronk or Graham, TE is a crap shoot. So I prefer to maximize my roster, and going with the TE that is least expensive, that I believe will get into the end-zone. While making this roster, I filled every position and I saved TE for last. I kept switching Harry Douglas in and out for Jordy Nelson, but in the end I like Douglas this week (check WR section).

Draft Street

By Andy Getrey, @PatsFever24

(All Top 3’s and Stack Attacks are for Turkey Day!)

Top 3′s

QB

Tony Romo vs Oak $13,993

Matt Stafford vs GB $16,585

Matt Flynn at Det $12,045

BOR: Turkey day is the Matt & Tony show for you fantasy fanatics.  Romo & Stafford have been top 10 all year. Their high salaries are no worry as I expect them to carve up their opponents and make turkeys out of them. Flynn saved Green Bay’s season last week as he came off the bench to throw for 218 yards and a touchdown.

RB

DeMarco Murray $11,286 vs Oak

Eddie Lacy $11,373 at Det

Rashad Jennings $11,179 at Dal

BOR: Lacy has been the fantasy draft steal of the year. He is a top 5 back averaging almost 26 fantasy points a game since his week 4 bye. His reasonable salary against a weak running defense makes him a very tasty pick. Jennings has been one of the hottest backs the last 4 weeks averaging almost 28 fantasy points a game. Facing a very poor run defense expect another top 10 performance.  Murray is only one of 2 backs averaging over 5 yards per carry. Expect the same as he faces a very weak run defense.

WR

Dez Bryant $13,415 vs Oak

Nate Burleson $8,754 vs GB

Antonio Brown $11,630 at Bal

BOR: Brown and Bryant’s high salaries are justified as they have been top 10 receivers all season. The combination of playing poor pass defenses and high projections make this dynamic duo a turkey day treat. Brown leads the league in catches he and  is a PPR monster. Burleson came back from injury with a bang last week producing 77 yards and a touchdown. With his reasonable salary against a weak passing defense Nate could be the sleeper pick on turkey day.

TE

Jason Witten vs Oakland $8,609

Heath Miller at Baltimore $5,889

Joseph Fauria vs Green Bay $2,100

BOR: Witten is starting to come on again. Against a very poor passing defense expect him to be the Thanksgivings top TE. Miller is Big Ben’s safety net. Fauria, the TD machine, has 6 TD’S with only 11 catches. I expect the TD machine to catch another. In a position like Tight End, that can usually take your roster from a bust to a boom.

Stack Attack

Dal: Tony Romo $13,99  and Jason Witten $8,609

Det: Matt Stafford $16,585 and Nate Burleson $8,754

Pit: Ben Roethlisberger $12,128 and Antonio Brown $11,630

Turkey Day Expert Roster

$100,000 Salary Cap

QB: Matt Flynn $12,045

QB: Tony Romo $13,993

RB: DeMarco Murray $11,286

RB: Eddie Lacy $11,373

WR: Antonio Brown $11,630

WR: Nate Burleson $8,754

TE: Joseph Faurina $2,100

FLEX: Rashad Jennings $11,179

FLEX: Reggie Bush $12,137

D/ST: Dallas $5,335

Total: $99,772

BOR: Fauria’s insanely low salary allow’s me to stack the 4 top RB’S on turkey day. When you can set your line up with the 4 top running backs, top quarterback, top wide receiver, and top defense playing on Thanksgiving, get ready to hit your pot of fantasy gold.

Again, special thanks to Eric (@That_RedGuy), Evan (@EHaleYea), and Andy (@PatsFever24)!

FanDuel

By Evan Hale, @EHaleYea

Top 3’s

QB

Josh McCown $5500 @ StL

Collin Kaepernick $7900  @ Was

Eli Manning $6300 vs Dal

BOR: McCown doesn’t turn the ball over, has great weapons, averages 7 yards per reception, and Cutler is highly questionable for Week 12. Eli faces a Dallas defense who gives up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks, and Kaep travels to Washington who gives up the 5th most fantasy points to quarteracks.

RB

Frank Gore $6800 @ Was

Andre Brown $6800 vs Dal

Rashad Jennings $6600 vs Ten

BOR: Great matchups lend themselves to great games. Washington, Dallas, and Tennessee give up the 3rd, most, and 6th most fantasy points to running backs. A ton of great value running backs this week, but these three have the best matchups and come at a great price.

WR

Wes Welker $7400 @ Den

Jarrett Boykin $6400 vs Min

Dexter McCluster $4600 vs SD

BOR: Given Welker plays, I think he has a statement game against his old team in his old stadium. Boykin does a ton of work after the catch. faces a putrid Vikings secondary, and is Tolzein’s go-to wide out so far. McCluster is at a basement value and is facing a San Diego that will likely key on Charles and Bowe. You can build a solid roster around McCluster.

TE

Coby Fleener $5400 @ Ari

Rob Gronkowski $8200 vs Den

Delanie Walker $5600 @ Oak

BOR: Even though Arizona is considered a stout secondary, they allow the most fantasy points to tight ends which bodes well for Fleener. I love Gronk this week, and every week, and FanDuel still doesn’t raise the salary on elite tight ends. Walker has become Fitzpatrick’s security blanket, and has caught a TD in the past two games.

Stack Attacks

Chi: Josh McCown $5500 and Alshon Jeffrey $6500

GB: Scott Tolzien $6000 and Jarrett Boykin $6400

NYG: Eli Manning $6300 and Hakeen Nicks $5700

Expert Roster

Salary Cap $60K

QB: Tom Brady $8900

RB: Frank Gore $6800

RB: Andre Brown $6800

WR: Victor Cruz $6800

WR: Alshon Jeffery $6500

WR: Eric Decker $5800

TE: Rob Gronkowski $8200

K: Rob Bironas $5000

D/ST: Pittsburgh $5000

BOR: I love my $6800 crew, Brown, Gore, and Cruz, as well as my New England Stack Attack with Brady and Gronk. This roster has a ton of upside, and low floor guys as well. Enjoy!

Draft Kings

By Eric Florin, @That_RedGuy

Top 3’s

QB

Drew Brees @ATL $9,600

Ryan Fitzpatrick @OAK $5,600

Mike Glennon @ DET $6,300

BOR: My sleeper QB of the week is Ryan Fitzpatrick. In the 5 games that Fitzpatrick has played in this year he has averaged 202.4 passing yards per game. Fitzpatrick only started 3 of those 5 games. I see him posting QB1 numbers again this Sunday against the 26th ranked passing defense. No, Drew Brees is not at a very cheap price, but if there is one QB with somewhat of a high price tag I am buying this week, it is Brees.

RB

Zac Stacy vs.CHI $6,200

Andre Brown vs.DAL $6,000

Shane Vereen vs.DEN $5,000

BOR: In Vereen’s first game back, he was targeted 11 times for 8 catches and 65 yards. So much for easing him back in huh? Vereen’s usage will only increase the rest of this season. The two games Vereen has played in this season he has 20 targets, so week 11 was not a fluke. For a RB2 or flex play he is an absolute STEAL. LOVE me some Zac Stacy this week! Stacy is going up against a Bears defense that has allowed 155.5 yards in the last 4 games, along with 6 rushing TDs.

WR

Kendall Wright @OAK $5,700

Alson Jeffery @STL $5,900

Jarret Boykin vs.MIN $4,400

BOR: Alson Jeffery is just not getting noticed by a lot of people as a WR1 for fantasy purposes. He receives the same amount of targets, if not more than Brandon Marshall. Though he does not have as many TDs as Marshall, he is being targeted in the red-zone. So enjoy this cheap value while it lasts. Since Scott Tolzien took over, Jarret Boykin has 13 and 8 total targets in both of those games. It is clear that Tolzien and Boykin have some kind of rapport. Play Boykin with confidence.

TE

Mychal Rivera vs.TEN $3,100

Delanie Walker @OAK $4,500

Julius Thomas @NE $5,300

BOR: The only TE here that I would not be 100% sold on going with this Sunday is Rivera. His targets are very inconsistent, especially when Pryor plays. However, when McGloin played last week, he was targeted early and often. If McGloin gets the start again, Rivera is a GREAT option this week. If Julius Thomas is cleared to play this week, I strongly recommend finding a way to get him into your daily lineups. With Manning’s ankle bothering him he will continue to try to get rid of the ball quickly, making Thomas a more consistent target.

Stack Attack

CHI: Josh McCown $6,200 and Alson Jeffery $5,900

HOU: Case Keenum $7,000 and Andre Johnson $9,000

TB: Mike Glennon $6,300 and Vincent Jackson $7,700

Expert Roster

Salary 50k

QB: Drew Brees $9,600

RB: Zac Stacy $6,200

RB: Eddie Lacy $7,200

WR: Alson Jeffery $5,900

WR: Marques Colston $5,400

TE: Greg Olsen $5,100

FLEX: Shane Vereen $5,000

K: Garrett Hartley $3,000

D/ST: Packers $3,100

BOR: This will likely be my roster for the week. I love this lineup. I think it’s just another example of maximizing a daily roster. For the roster I posted in last week’s article, I made a few changes to the lineup before I entered it into contests. I decided to roll with Vincent Jackson and Marshawn Lynch. But I did not keep Jeffery, Gore, Big Ben, or Antonio Brown in the lineup. My biggest regret was not sticking with my gut and rolling with Antonio Brown. That move hurt a lot. So learn from my mistake, and GO WITH YOUR GUT.

Draft Street

Top 3’s

QB

Tony Romo at  NYG $14,010

Eli Manning vs Dallas $12,023

Scott Tolzien vs Minn. $11,067

BOR: Manning & Tolzien are facing terrible pass defenses, which makes their high projections and low salaries an extremely attractive play. Romo has been a top 10 QB all year. Expect a high scoring game against his arch enemy the NYG.

RB

Andre Brown vs Dallas $10,680

Ben Tate vs Jacksonville $11,084

Zac Stacy vs Chicago $11,994

BOR: Stacy has been one of the waiver wire bargains this year. Coming out of a bye he gets a very bad run defense aka The Ray Rice Special. His high salary is well justified based on his top 10 projections. Brown & Tate are facing 2 of the worst run defenses in football, which make their high projections and low salaries a dream come true.

WR

Vincent Jackson at Detroit $12,878

Danny Amendola vs Denver $8,800

Ruben Randle vs Dallas $7,667

BOR: The law firm of Amendola, Jackson, and Randle, have dream match ups with very reasonable salaries this week. All three games are expected to be high scoring making this law firm fantasy gold.

TE

Garrett Graham vs Jacksonville $7,340

Rob Housler vs Indy $5,616

Delanie Walker at Oakland $7,482

BOR: Housler and Graham are really starting to come on. Having reasonable salaries against a weak pass defenses make this fantasy duo one you want to dance with. Walker has been Fitzpatrick’s go to guy since taking over at QB. The combination of the Raider’s poor pass defense, high projections, and reasonable salary make Walker a top TE this week.

Stack Attacks

PIT: Ben Roethlisberger $12,929 and Antonio Brown $10,694

NYG: Eli Manning $12,023 and Rubin Randle $7,667

NE: Tom Brady $14,267 and Danny Amendola $8,800

Expert Roster

$100K Salary Cap

QB: Scott Tolzien $11,067

QB: Tony Romo $14,010

RB: Zach Stacy $11,994

RB: Ben Tate $11,084

WR: Ruben Randle $7,667

WR: Danny Amendola $8,800

TE: Rob Housler $5,616

FLEX: Eddie Lacy $11,407

FLEX: Andre Brown $10,680

D/ST: Carolina $6,993

Total $99,318

BOR: Tolzein is the sleeper QB of the week. His extremely low salary allows me to stack the rest of the line up with top 10 players. When you can set your line up with 4 top 10 running backs a top 5 quarterback and the top defense, get ready to run to the bank!

FanDuel

by Evan Hale, @EHaleYea

Top 3’s

QB

Case Keenum $6600 vs Oak

Ryan Tannehill $7000 vs SD

Robert Griffin III $8400 vs Phi

BOR: Keenum and Tannehill face defenses that have given up the 8th and 6th most fantasy points to QB’s this year, respectively. RG3 wills shred a Philly defense that is dead last in passing yards allowed (307 per game).

RB

Andre Brown $6500 vs GB

Danny Woodhead $6500 @ Mia, Mia gives up 2nd most points to RB

La’Veon Bell $7400 vs Det

BOR: Last week the Giants showed they are more than happy to let Brown dominate their backfield, and he is still coming in at a very reasonable price. Miami has given up the 2nd most fantasy points to running backs, which bodes well for Woody, and Bell’s high floor makes him a steady point provider that you can count on.

WR

Torrey Smith $6300 @ Chi

Roddy White $6200 @ TB, should be a target monster now with Tony Gonzalez sidelined.

Harvin $6500 vs Min, Minn allowed most pass TDs this year (21), old team.

BOR: Torrey gets a decent matchup this week, gets tons of opportunity, and has a nice price tag. Roddy will be a target monster with Tony Gonzalez dealing with a toe injury. Percy Harvin makes his return with a lovely matchup against Minnesota who has allowed the most passing TDs this year (21). The Old Team Theory also works in Harvin’s favor.

TE

John Carlson $5100 @ Sea

Jordan Reed $5900 @ Phi

Vernon Davis $6200 @NO, concussion doesn’t look like it’ll hold Davis out of Week 11 shootout with New Orleans.

BOR: Carlson takes over the security blanket role in an offense that needs to be swaddled in security like a newborn baby. Reed’s price still hasn’t gone up significantly, and I love his chemistry with RG3. Davis’s concussion doesn’t look serious, and the matchup with New Orleans should be a shootout.

Stack Attacks

Was: Robert Griffin III $8400 and Pierre Garcon $7900

Sea: Russell Wilson $9000 and Percy Harvin $6500

Phi: Nick Foles $8600 and Riley Cooper $7000

Expert Roster

Salary Cap $60K

QB Case Keenum $6600

RB Jamaal Charles $8800

RB Danny Woodhead $6500

WR Pierre Garcon $7900

WR Andre Johnson $7500

WR Percy Harvin $6500

TE Jordan Reed $5900

K Graham Gano $5200

D/ST New York Jets $5100

BOR: This roster utilizes the Houston stack seen above and their kush matchup with Oakland. Woodhead offers great value so I can juice up at my other RB spot with Charles. Garcon and Harvin also have those juicy matchups that make DFS cash almost inevitable. Finish it off with my boy Reed, and the Jets D/ST who should dominate the stagnant Buffalo offense.

Draft Kings

By Eric Florin, @That_RedGuy

Top 3’s

QB

Mike Glennon,vs Atl $5600

Josh Mccown vs.Bal $6300

Carson Palmer @ Jax $6100

BOR: No, Palmer has not stopped throwing interceptions, but he has started throwing more touchdowns. He has 5 passing touchdowns in his last 3 games. These three can provide you with high or low end QB1 numbers this week. All three have great matchups, facing teams in the bottom half of passing defenses.

RB

Frank Gore @ NO $6800

Danny Woodhead @ Mia $6400

Andre Ellington @ Jax $3800

BOR: Both Gore and Woodhead are in the top 10 of PPG among all RBs, on Draft Kings. The Saints have gotten torched on the ground lately, giving up almost 100 yards per game. Ellington is my RB sleeper of the week he’s getting increasingly more snaps and touches. In a blow-out game, Ellington finishes the day as top 12 RB.

WR

Pierre Garçon @Phi $6900

James Jones @ NYG $5100

Golden Tate vs.MIN $6400

BOR: As long as Garcon has this cheap of a price, I will continue to buy. He’s putting up WR1 numbers facing the Eagles, that rank 32nd against passing offenses. Tolzien does not scare me enough to not buy Jones, who looked healthy and played more than 90% of offensive snaps, great value here.

TE

John Carlson @Sea $3000

Greg Olsen vs.NE $4200

Jordan Reed @Phi $5300

BOR: I had Olsen in this section last week, but I did not expect that game to be such a defensive battle. Olsen bounces back with a TD this week and remains one of Newton’s favorite targets. Carlson had the most targets among Vikings this past week; he will repeat that feat with Ponder banged up and facing a very tough pass rush.

Stack Attacks

Chi: Josh Mccown $6300 and Alson Jeffery $6400

TB: Mike Glennon $5600 and Vincent Jackson $100

Was: Robert Griffin III $8300 and Pierre Garcon $6,900 or Jordan Reed $5300

Pit: Ben Roethlisberger $7100 and Antonio Brown $6500

Expert Roster

Salary Cap $50K

QB: Ben Roethlisberger $7100

RB: Frank Gore $6800

RB: Andre Ellington $4800

WR: Pierre Garçon $6900

WR: Antonio Brown $6500

TE: Jordan Reed $5300

Flex:  Alson Jeffery $6400

K: Nick Novak $3200

D/ST: Lions $2900

Total $49000

BOR: This is the lineup I am submitting this week. I always try and look for the value plays (players who are out producing their price tag). For example, Antonio Brown is averaging 19.3 points per game, and is going for $6500, while Desean Jackson is at 19.8 point per game, and is at $8300. For me Antonio Brown, Alson Jeffery, Garcon, and Gore are just some of the names that fall into that category this week.

Draft Street

By Andy Getrey, @PatsFever24

Top 3’s

QB

Nick Foles vs Was $13420

Josh McCown vs Bal $11472

Case Keenum vs Oak $13773

BOR: Foles and Keenum are facing terrible pass defenses, which make their point projections worthy of high salaries. McCown’s low salary and high expected projections make him a very attractive play this week.

RB

Alfred Morris @ Phi $10556

Eddie Lacy @ NYG $10906

Marshawn Lynch vs Min $14272

BOR: Morris and Lacy are facing horrible run defenses, and producing top 10 projections each week with bargain salaries. Lynch’s high salary is justified based on his top 5 projections against one of the worst run defenses.

WR

Riley Cooper vs Was $10344

Andre Johnson vs Oak $13675

Dexter McCluster at Den $4181

BOR: Johnson has returned to top 5 form facing a very weak passing defense.  Cooper relatively cheap price has been producing top 10 performances and now he is facing one of the worst pass defenses. Dexter’s has an insanely low salary and is facing a weak pass defense. This makes him the WR sleeper of the week.

TE

Tim Wright vs Atl $6772

Greg Olsen vs NE $7462

Antonio Gates @ Miami $8739

BOR: Tim Wright plays an Atlanta defense that has already mailed it in this season. The old warrior, Antonio Gates, has found the fountain of youth and is still getting it done as one of Rivers’ favorite targets. Finally Olsen, the red zone match up monster faces a weak secondary on the main stage of Monday Night Football.

Stack Attacks

Phi: Nick Foles $13,420 and Riley Cooper $10344

Hou: Case Keenum $13,733 and Andre Johnson $13675

Chi: Josh McCowen $11,482 and Alshon Jeffery $11164

Expert Roster

$100K Salary Cap

QB: Nick Foles $13427

QB: Josh McCowen $11482

RB: Alfred Morris $10556

RB: Marshawn Lynch $14272

WR: Riley Cooper $10334

WR: Dexter McCluster $4181

TE: Tim Wright $6777

FLEX: Eddie Lacy $10928

FLEX: Andre Brown $10906

D/ST: Seattle $7045

Total $99906

BOR: This line up is money in the bank! Dexter’s ridiculously low salary opens it up for me to stack 4 top 10 RB’(Lacy, Morris, Lynch, Brown and Seattle’s defense to boot). Let’s just say Christmas has come early.

FanDuel

By Evan Hale, @EHaleYea

Top 3’s

QB

Philip Rivers vs Den $8100

Robert Griffin III @ Min $7800

Eli Manning vs Oak $6400

BOR: Rivers and RG3 are facing horrible pass defenses which make their point projections worth the higher salary. Eli and the passing attack will benefit from Andre Brown returning and play action demanding respect.

RB

Eddie Lacy vs Phi $6800

Mike James vs Mia $6000

Andre Brown vs Oak $5200

BOR: Until Lacy’s salary goes down, I’m using him (so is everyone else). Side note: FanDuel doesn’t update player salaries from the Sunday night and Monday night games, so studs that break out on those nights, like TY Hilton ($6000), will also be a bargain. James has been a work horse and has great value against a middle of the pack Miami run defense. Cheapest you’ll get Brown rest of year.

WR

Andre Johnson @ Ari $6900

Eric Decker @ SD $6200

Cecil Shorts @ Ten $6000

BOR: Case loves him some Andre (see 3 TD’s and 229 yards last week). Decker is relatively cheap on a super pass happy team, and Cecil will get a ton of looks while Blackmon is doing drugs. The opportunity that exists for these three wide outs gives them a ton of upside for their price.

TE

Coby Fleener vs Stl $5400

Jordan Reed @ Min $5400

Heath Miller vs Buf $5000

BOR: I love the two young tight ends at $5400. Great value with nice matchups. Boom or bust, but what tight end isn’t, not named Gronk or Graham?

Stack Attacks

Hou: Case Keenum $6100 and Andre Johnson $6900

Phi: Nick Foles $8200 and Riley Cooper $6000

Ind: Andrew Luck $8700 and T.Y. Hilton $6000

Expert Roster

$60K Salary Cap

QB: Eli Manning $6400

RB: Eddie Lacy $6800

RB: Andre Brown $5200

WR: Calvin Johnson $9900

WR: Dez Bryant $8200

WR: Andre Johnson $6900

TE: Jordan Reed $5400

K: Adam Vinatieri

D/ST: Seattle $5800

BOR: I love this line up. Lacy and Eli have great value, but Andre Brown really opens it up for me to stack my wide receivers. Megatron, Dez, and Andre… really? Straight cash homie.

Draft Kings

By Eric Florin, @That_RedGuy

Top 3’s

QB

Jay Cutler vs Det $7000

Josh Mccown vs Det $5700

Jake Locker vs Jax $6600

BOR: With Cutler status for Sundays game uncertain. I’m going with whichever Chicago QB starts. Monday night was not a fluke. I trust him if he starts.

RB

Mike James vs Mia $4000

Alfred Morris @Min $6100

Zac Stacy @Ind $6600

BOR: You saw Giovanni Bernard’s numbers against Miami last week, right? Not to mention Mike James is coming off a 145-yard game against Seattle at Seattle. For his price tag it’s a steal.

WR

Victor Cruz $6800/Hakeem Nicks vs Oak $5400

Keenan Allen vs Den $6000

Kris Durham @Chi $3400

BOR: Ok, I know the Giants passing game hasn’t been even close to where it should be this year, but they are coming off a bye so they’ve had time to prepare for the Raiders. Oh, and Nick Foles just threw for 7 TDs against them. I’ll take my chances.

TE

Heath Miller vs Buf $4300

Greg Olsen @ SF $4600

Martellus Bennett vs Det $4200

BOR: Carolina’s offense has been hot recently, and Olsen has two TDS in the last two games.

Stack Attack’s

NYG: Eli Manning $7700 and Victor Cruz $6800/Hakeem Nicks $5400/Rueben Randle $4300

Pit: Ben Roethlisberger $7000 and Antonio Brown $7200

Det: Matthew Stafford $8300 and Kris Durham $3400

Expert Roster

QB: Matthew Stafford $8300

RB: Zac Stacy $6600

RB: Alfred Morris $6100

RB: Victor Cruz NYG $6800

WR: Pierre Garçon $6000

TE: Heath Miller $4300

FLEX: Mike James $4000

K: Sebastian Janikowski $3000

D/ST: Titans $4000

BOR: This is who I am going to be rolling with this week. To me all these guys have great matchups and are great buys. I think the three absolute steals on Draft Kings this week are Victor Cruz, Alfred Morris, and Mike James. You know the targets will be for Cruz and it’s a great matchup. Mike James is my buy of the week. He has been getting the touches and been productive with them.

Draft Street

By Andy Getrey, @PatsFever24

Top 3’s

QB

Jake Locker vs Jax  $12410

Tony Romo @ NO  $14520

Phillip Rivers vs Den  $15411

BOR: Rivers and Romo are facing terrible pass defenses. Locker’s passing game will benefit from a rejuvenated running game, giving him many one-on-one coverage’s down field. His low salary and high expected projections make him a dream come true start.

RB

Alfred Morris vs Minn  $10004

Mat Forte vs Det $13311

Danny Woodhead vs Den  $9908

BOR: Morris and Woodhead are facing horrible run defenses. Forte’s catching and running ability makes him a versatile threat, which makes his high salary worth every penny.

WR

Kendall Wright vs Jax  $7761

Keenan Allen vs Den  $12224

Antonio Brown vs Buf  $11911

BOR: Allen and Brown’s high salaries are justified in great matchups . Allen, one of the waiver wire pickups of the year and Brown is on pace for a career year with Big Ben. Kendall Wright, the target monster, has another incredible match up against one of the weakest pass defenses in football.

TE

Tim Wright vs Mia $6770

Greg Olsen @ SF  $7380

Heath Miller vs Buf $5483

BOR: Tim Wright has turned into a big time sleeper and the favorite target of Mike Glennon. They have a great match up in the spot light of Monday night football against a weak Miami defense on the road. Miller is finally getting into game time shape and his low salary makes for a very nice play. Finally Olsen, the main target of one of the hottest QB’S, is a red zone match up nightmare.

Stack Attacks

Ten:  Jake Locker $12410 and Kendall Wright $7761

Sea:  Russell Wilson $13576 and Doug Baldwin $5222

Ari:  Carson Palmer $10175 and Michael Floyd $6557

Expert Roster

$100,000 Salary Cap

QB: Jake Locker $12410

QB: Tony Romo $14520

RB: Alfred Morris $10004

RB: Mat Forte $13311

WR: Kendall Wright $7761

WR: Terrance Williams $8286

TE: Tim Wright $6770

FLEX: Danny Woodhead $9908

FLEX: Zac Stacy $11597

D/ST:  Tampa Bay  $4040

Total: $98607

BOR:  Romo and Locker are top 10 quarterback’s this week, and offer very affordable salaries. This gives your team the luxury of picking up the likes of Morris, Forte, Stacy, and Woodhead as RB/Flex starters, who all have great match ups and top 10 potential this week. WR’S Kendall Wright and Terrance Williams also have great match ups with affordable salaries. This also leaves room for TE Tim Wright and his solid matchup against Miami. Tampa’s very low salary against a weak team on the road should bring home big points this week as well.

Week 9 Daily Fantasy Football Value Plays

The biggest idiots to ever scour the earth are 15 year old boys. They make John Gruden sound smart.

My girlfriend in middle school demanded I write 100 reasons why I “loved” her after we had a fight. I did it… like an idiot. All of this in the name of somehow making it to that sweet, mysterious land called sex.

Oh, sex. How risky you are. Especially for a sweaty, pimply-faced idiot like my 15 year old self. The girl could get pregnant, I could get some hump bumps, or worse, her dad could walk in. Tons of risk, but tons of upside. Locker room talk would be awesome that Monday. I’d lie about the whole thing and say it was great, and she loved it.

The players listed below are the opposite of sex. Undervalued, low risk, and smart. They are best used in low risk line ups for 50/50 tournaments and head to head matches. They scream value and allow you to splurge elsewhere on your line up.

Philip Rivers $7700 vs WAS

Washington’s secondary routinely gets sliced and diced. They are tied for 23rd in the league in passing yards allowed and 25th in passing TD’s allowed. Rivers has had a rejuvenated season and is a nice value this week.

Eddie Lacy $6800 vs CHI

A Lance Briggs-less Chicago front looks a lot less menacing, and a lot more tasty for my boy Eddie. He is being priced around people like Fred Jackson, Chris Johnson, and Darren McFadden. He’s still a steal, and one of the most consistent running backs in the league. Pairing Lacy up with Danny Woodhead seems to have happened in a lot of my 50/50’s.

Antonio Brown $6700 vs NE

Six catches for 50 yards is Brown’s worst stat line this year. He is a low floor guy at a good price that will give you nice filler points. He is a the epitome of a safe value play that fits perfectly into your 50/50 and H2H lineups.

Golden Tate $5000 vs TB

Was it the best taunt of all time? Pretty close. Tate pranced into the end zone last week sarcastically encouraging the St. Louis safety to catch up. And holy spit, this just in! Sydney Rice is out the rest of the year with an ACL injury. With Harvin still not in the picture, Tate is a wonderful play this week.

Jordan Reed $5600 vs SD

Reed will be a high end TE1 for the rest of the season. He is still not priced near his actual worth. He is being priced under guys like Jermichael Finley, Antonio Gates, and Heath Miller. RGIII loves the young tight end. Keep playing him.

Your lucky effing day! Bonus value pick for you cheap QB lovers out there…

Jake Locker $6700 vs STL

Sneaky play of the week is your boy Locker. His matchup is softer than Oprah’s tummy, and his salary is cheaper than your cross-eyed uncle’s sex advice.
