Injury Update: Vick Ballard

Things just got a little less complicated in Indianopolis.

RB Vick Ballard has just been placed on season-ending Injury Reserve due to a torn ACL. While the Colts have just recently been reported as wanting a 50-50 split in the backfield, that is no longer possible. The run game will rely heavily on Ahmad Bradshaw’s mechanical legs. While I have my doubts that he can handle a full workload for the next 15 games, he is a weekly RB2/Flex until he goes down with injury.

Donald Brown also looks to get in on some of the action, but he wasn’t even in the conversation until Ballard went down. Leave him on the waiver wire.

Niners, Chiefs Swap Jenkins, Baldwin

What the…?

This never happens in the NFL! You never see this type of trade go down, but with each transaction, there are fantasy implications. The Chiefs traded Baldwin their 2011 first-round pick, to the 49ers for AJ Jenkins, a 2012 first-round pick. They are both similar in that they have never caught on in the NFL.

The problem is…I’m not sure how this trade benefits either team.

Following this trade, Baldwin is, at best, the Niner’s third WR behind Anquan Boldin and Austin Collie. If he can stay healthy, Collie is simply outstanding, and I even think that Kyle Williams can take the third WR role from Baldwin. Not a fan of Baldwin in fantasy.

Same with Jenkins who can’t get it together. I’m not a fan of him either. He’ll battle Donnie Avery for the second WR spot, and in my opinion, lose that battle. The Chiefs offense is based around two guys: Dwayne Bowe and Jamaal Charles.

This trade made no sense to me, and both guys are avoidable. Stay away, owners.

We Hope You Enjoy It!

This site has been a project/idea years in the making.  I literally text Adam and Hunter throughout the day: sports, signings, stats, numbers, etc.  We figured collectively, why not have our own site?  We can put our gibberish, our boasts, and our predictions out there for all to see and maybe use.  We are not experts and you will never hear any of us claim to be, what we are is a couple of average guys who love to talk sports in general and fantasy football is our obsession.  All three of us have won championships and each of us have our own way of going about it and want to share that with you all.

Fantasy Football is a burgeoning industry, we hope our very small piece is entertaining and helpful to you all in one way or the other.  Maybe someone you saw us recommend helps nail down a championship.  Maybe you see who we recommend and you go the opposite way!  Either way, thanks for sharing in our obsession and hope you all enjoy!

There will be new articles from each of us this Monday!!!

Another Fantasy Football Site?

Yes! Regan and I spent far too much time discussing fantasy football and the NFL in general NOT to share it with our friends and other fantasy football fans. The site will also act as a great place to document our prediction successes (Regan totally loved Doug Martin in the pre-season) and failures (I thought Larry Fitzgerald would repeat his 2011 numbers, despite still being without a quarterback).

Anyway, we hope you enjoy reading as much as we like writing. Please join us in the comments and share your opinions with us.
