Cleveland Browns Remain A Useful Streaming Option in Week 4

IDP Rankings

Streaming defenses is now widely seen as the best way to utilize the DST spot on your roster. It certainly is not the only way to do it. However, it is perhaps the best way to consistently get a top-10 DST on your roster each week. The other option often involves spending a single-digit round pick on a defense. That is not something I am not willing to do outside of extremely deep leagues.

There were not many surprises in Week 3. To see the Patriots offense stifled again is interesting. However, I cannot buy into the Dolphins this week with the Patriots being at home. Outside of that we did not learn a huge amount about any defenses this week gone. Therefore the defenses to consider and the offenses to target remain the same.

For this article I will look to pick defenses that are under 70% owned. All ownership is prior to waivers running Wednesday.

Cleveland Browns @ Oakland Raiders (56% owned)

With nine sacks, five interceptions and six forced fumbles through three weeks the Browns defense has been incredible. They have surrendered just 59-points in those three game, which is impressive given we have seen multiple 30- and 40-point performances from offenses this year. Now they have to travel across country to play the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders have flashed offense this season but ultimately they have looked bad on that side of the ball. The Browns defense should be able to restrict this offense and create more turnovers in Week 4.

Green Bay Packers vs Buffalo Bills (30% owned)

The Bills offense stunned the Vikings in Week 3, taking advantage of blown assignments to take a 27-0 lead. The Packers defense is not going to be sleeping on this team the way the Vikings seemingly did. This Packers defense has been underwhelming so far this season but this is the week to get it right hosting the Bills.

Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals (27%)

This has the makings of another Jacksonville Jaguars versus Tennessee Titans contest. Both of these offenses have real flaws and their defense have enough about them to make them pay. The Seahawks defense scored more points in last weeks home game than they did combined in their two road games. However, this is the worst offense they will have faced on the road and they should be able to force some errors out of Josh Rosen. The Seahawks have an impressive eight sacks and eight turnovers forced this season and I think they can add at least two to both those numbers this week.

Arizona Cardinals vs Seattle Seahawks (12%)

The Cardinals defense has struggled so far but they do have a bruising pass rush, which should allow them to make mincemeat of the Seahawks offensive line. The Cardinals could have Russell Wilson running for his life all game long on Sunday. This team could easily get close to five sacks and add to their four turnovers on the 2018 season so far in this game.
