QB Streamers Week 4

Bengals Andy Dalton

My stud pick in last weeks QB streamers article of Matt Ryan paid off big time if you could grab him in your league. However, if you gambled on Blake Bortles you are probably cursing me a lot this week. Believe me I am cursing myself for being sucked in by his performance against the Patriots. However, if you went for Ryan Tannehill  then you got a quality 26 point week from him.

This week we have streamable quarterbacks facing five pass defenses who have given up a lot of points to quarterbacks this season. That makes for a lot of interesting and exciting options.

For this article I will generally look to select QBs that are under 70% owned.

Andy Dalton @ Atlanta Falcons (33% owned)

The Falcons defense is in an incredible mess. They have now lost both of their starting safeties as well as their starting middle linebackers. In Week 3 they were absolutely shredded by Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints offense, with Brees having a 40-point performance. Dalton is not the same quality as Brees and he doesn’t have the same depth of offense. However, I still think Dalton can absolutely take this defense to pieces and I will not be hesitating to use him this week.

Case Keenum vs Kansas City Chiefs (27%)

The Chiefs are surrendering nearly 35-points to opposing fantasy quarterbacks. This week they travel to Denver and the Mile High city. Travelling to Denver is tough for any defense, so one that is already bad travelling there is likely to be a problem. Keenum has not thrown for a touchdown in the last two weeks but I think he breaks that duck this week in a big way. The Broncos are going to have to go to the air a lot if they want to hang with the Chiefs and Keenum should be able to have a 20-plus point performance.

Eli Manning vs New Orleans Saints (18%)

Manning has slowly been getting better as the season has progressed. This defense will likely be the worst he has faced so far this season. Against the second worst defense he put up a 20-point game so it is feasible to think he can get over the 20-point mark this week. Manning’s offensive line is the problem but they managed to keep Manning relatively clean in Week 3 and allowed him to have a solid day.

Mitchell Trubisky vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (15%)

This is possibly the last chance Trubisky is going to have to convince fantasy owners he has any value. So far Trubisky has not been good at all in 2018, putting up a combined 37-points so far this season. However, he is facing a Buccaneers defense, that prior to Monday’s game was surrendering 23.61 points to quarterbacks. Trubisky has the weapons and he has the scheme. Now he just needs to play quarterback the way fantasy players hoped he could coming into the season.

Joe Flacco @ Pittsburgh Steelers (14%)

Prior to Monday Night Football the Steelers were giving up 31.71 points to opposing quarterbacks through two weeks. Flacco has not done anything spectacular despite facing the Buffalo Bills in Week 1. However, facing the Steelers should mean that this game is back-and-forth and Flacco will need to go toe-to-toe if the Ravens are to have a shot of winning this game.
