Digging Deep! (10/14)

,I am bringing back an oldie, but goodie with some modification. That’s right baby, the Digging Deep! article is coming back with vengeance! This is a living article, meaning the information will be constantly updated throughout the season to help you football heads out! The purpose of Digging Deep! is to alert owners to players who are currently buried in the depth chart, but may be called to play in the 2017 season when certain situations happen. I bring the dynasty spin into the redraft season by helping you file names away.

I will sort the tiers according to the following categories:

Waiver wire (WW) – Players you probably won’t own in a standard size 15-16 man roster, but should be picked up immediately if they outperform your current bench guys

Who TF are you? (WTF) – Most of these names are unfamiliar to those who never played dynasty leagues, but they carry value based on opportunities. I’m not talking about Joe Mixon or Kenny Golladay. By now, even your casual redraft guys will know to pick them up or monitor these names. I’m talking about deep guys.

Going for 4th & 35 (Go4) – These recommendations are only given to those who are truly desperate or have 50 roster spots to fill. If you like to play in 32 team leagues or 16-team/30+ man leagues, these players are for you. Often, they are well known college guys, but were not viewed highly (ie. drafted in 6th, 7th or UDFA) by NFL standards, and manage to stay on the 53-man roster.

This year, I will constantly update each team’s watch list players, so you don’t have to constantly check. Just use your search function (ctrl + F), type in the team name and you can see which players are your targets on Waiver wires when injury or certain situations happen.
