- Jeff Samardzija has had a much better season than the numbers suggest and with two starts in Oakland and San Fran I think he can have a really good week.
- Luis Severino, Jimmy Nelson and Sean Manaea have been fantastic this year and I can’t see that stopping this week.
- Gio Gonzalez has surprised the fantasy wold with his performances this year but with the Cubs starting to find their rhythm I think he could have a tough second start. He is my last must start in 10 team leagues.
- Cole Hamels has a real chance to get his season rolling nicely with two decent starts.
- Felix Hernandez won’t benefit from two road starts but he should still be usable in a 12 team league.
- I don’t like these starts for Michael Fulmer and his strikeout rate isn’t blowing anyone anyway so in 12 team leagues I could make an argument for not starting him.
- Jake Arrieta has two really tough starts but the name value means you will still have to consider him in 12 teamers.
- The start in Baltimore concerns me for Duffy but the start at home against Seattle could be good.
- Masahiro Tanaka has been so up and down and whilst I want to trust him in 12 teams leagues I am going to have to think twice because double the starts doubles the chances of a blow-up.
- Jose Berrios gets to start against San Diego which is always going to put him on consideration but I’m worried what could happen in Texas. He is m last maybe in 12 team leagues.
- Two decent starts for Drew Pomeranz but I just don’t trust him enough to use him in 12 teamers.
- Alex Cobb has been really good lately but these are two starts which could get messy quick. Wouldn’t be using in anything shallower than 14 team leagues.
- Charlie Morton through Mike Fiers are all must use in 14 team leagues.
- I really hate the two starts for Kenta Maeda so I am going to avoid using him if possible in 14 teamers.
- Paul Blackburn is my 14 team gamble if I want to go left field with my choice. These are two starts which could be good and if I need to take that gamble he would be my man.
- Patrick Corbin and Steven Matz both have a start that absolutely terrifies me and for that reason they are 15/16 team league only. They are my last two who fall into this category thi week. The rest you would have to be nuts to want to throw out there.
