MLB DFS: 5/22 Pat’s Stacks

Kris Bryant

Pat’s Stacks

Generally in MLB DFS GPP’s we want to target and stack the teams we believe are going to have high run totals to score the highest overall points. Here I’ll be listing the team stacks and splits I believe will provide the highest upside to get you the necessary ~20+ points per player to have a shot at a GPP.

Fantasy just got a whole lot better thanks to Monkey Knife Fight. With fast-paced games like Rapid Fire and Either/Or, it’s never been easier to play fantasy and win. New to MKF? Get Exclusive $100 Deposit Match + Free $5 Game >

Stack Strategy for today:

FD: I’ll be doing a lot of 4-2-2 stacks outside of my main lineup.

DK: Doing a lot of 4-2-2, 3-3-2

Chichalko Cubs

I shouldn’t even have to write this one up because it’s so obvious and it’ll be so chalky but here it is anyways because it deserves all the chalktalk it’s getting. Welcome to the windy city where 15 mph winds blow turn singles into doubles and doubles into dongs. We have the defending world champions going up against a very sub-major league pitcher in Ty Blach, whose statistics throughout this year are extremely misleading. Shoutout to Loughy from FanVice for the stat, but Ty Blach as miserable as he’s been already, has actually been saved from the fact that he’s pitched 28 of his 34 innings at home, in San Francisco, which is just about the WORST HITTERS PARK. But now he’s faced with the windy city, bats that are catching heat, and the highest implied run total on the day. I expect Blach to crumble here especially knowing he won’t get any run support from his team (adding even more pressure) sidebar: I’m still salty I couldn’t get the win points for my all in Samardzija call the other night because SF can’t hit to save their lives right now.

Pittsburgh Pirates

That new stadium in Atlanta has been extremely friendly to batters thus far, especially with all the heat. More specifically to the left handers (with the rumor that they built the new stadium with Freddie Freeman in mind), the pirates are in a great great spot today versus Foltynewicz who is giving up 1.3HR/9 to both sides of the plate. Their bats are beginning to heat up, the vegas total is rising and should hit 9 by lock, and these Pirates are just TOO CHEAP. These Pirates will go underowned and with the expensive pitching and big bats there are today, lock and load em for a screenshot night baby!!!

I had to put all 3 of these teams here because they all offer something different and I felt they all rank equally for me and I can’t put them in the honorable mentions as a way to demote one team over the other. All teams are going agaisnt fairly easy pitchers, 2 of them in batter friendly ball parks. The Angels although playing in Tampa Bay and it’s not the easiest place to dong, Trout definitely has that power, and you don’t expect dongs out of the rest of the Angels anyways. It’s a big enough stadium to get a lot of gap doubles that’ll run up your score at a very discounted pricetag and severely lower ownership than the other stacks listed today because of the park shift. In the case of the Reds and the Dbacks, lock and load lefty righty it doesn’t matter. I like 1-6 on both of those teams and on Fanduel with Jake Lamb being $100 cheaper than Kris Bryant, a Dbacks stack makes a lot more sense than on DK.

Honorable Mention:

(These two teams I prefer mini stacks and that’s why they’re here, Ill be mini stacking to finish a lot of lineups today over having random one offs)

Twins vs Udongo Jimenez

Orioles vs Gibson
