Week 17 NFL DFS: Own the Play

Matt Ryan

Week 17 NFL DFS on Owntheplay.com features your final chance to play NFL DFS this season. Finding value across the board gives you a chance to have a successful end to the season and cash. Lets find value at every position and create winning lineups.

Matt Ryan Atlanta Falcons $7,300
vs New Orleans Saints

Matt Ryan is home this week to take on the league’s worst secondary. The New Orleans Saints have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Ryan looked great a week ago against a tough Carolina Panther defense throwing for over 300 yards. He is the cash play this week if you are not spending up at quarterback. Another 300 yard plus game with multiple touchdowns should be in the cards for Ryan this week.

Austin Davis Cleveland Browns $5,700
vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Johnny Manziel is going to miss Week 17 with a concussion and Austin Davis will take his place. It may seem a little crazy but Davis could provide value at his price tag. He will face a Steelers defense that has allowed the 6th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. The Steelers have allowed the 7th most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Expect Davis to look at Gary Barnidge early and often. He had 6 catches for 65 yards and a score in their first matchup. The Browns will need to throw the ball in this game if they want to have a chance. Davis makes for a strong tournament option this week.

Tim Hightower

(Derick E. Hingle/USA TODAY Sports)

Tim Hightower New Orleans Saints $6,700
at Atlanta Falcons

Tim Hightower is a great play this week. He faces a Falcons defense that has been awful against the run all season. They have allowed 5th most fantasy points to opposing running backs and 8th over the past 5 weeks. He needs to get the work to produce but this game should provide that opportunity. He had 27 carries for 122 yards and 2 scores a week ago against Jacksonville. Hightower should get the work to keep the Falcons offense off the field and to save their poor defense. Hightower is a great play this week.

Frank Gore Indianapolis Colts $4,800
vs Tennessee Titans

Frank Gore is a great value this week. He faces a Titans team that can be ran on. In their first matchup Gore had 86 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He has been solid as of late as well especially with the 86 yard and two touchdown performance a week ago. A sub $5,000 running back with 100 yards and double-digit score upside is very much worth a look this week. There is a ton of question marks about who will be under center for the Colts. Expect Gore to get work this week to take pressure off of whomever is under center this week.

Eric Decker

Eric Decker New York Jets $5,200
at Buffalo Bills

Eric Decker has been perpetually underpriced all season and he’s been a consistent performer. Here is another golden opportunity get him in your lineup. In his last game against the Bills he had 14.5 points in first meeting against the Bills. He should produce again this week for a Jets team that is fighting for its playoff life. Fire up Decker this week.

Michael Floyd Arizona Cardinals $4,200
vs Seattle Seahawks

Some may want to avoid this match up with a Seahawks secondary. But it wasn’t that long ago that Michael Floyd used and abused that same secondary. He had 7 catches for 113 yards and two scores. Floyd has been incredible as of late. He has 17 plus points in four of the last four games. His price is the best part. He is incredibly affordable and can be fit to any lineup.

Zach Ertz Philadelphia Eagles $3,800
at New York Giants

Zach Ertz has the opportunity to explode this week. He looks to build on an 8 catch 78 yard performance a week ago. He faces a Giants defense that has allowed the second most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. There is some assumed risk

Will Tye New York Giants $4,000

The New York Giants offense was anemic a week ago without Odell Beckham Jr. This week he will return and it should do wonders for this offense. One of the things it should do is open the middle of the field for Will Tye. He was performing very well prior to last week. He had a touchdown in the two games prior to last week. He also had double digit fantasy point performances the two weeks prior to that. He has the opportunity to attack an Eagles defense that has allowed the 6th most fantasy points to opposing tight ends in the last 5 weeks. He should provide nice value this week.
