Own the Play Week 13 DFS Bargains

Own the Play Week 13 forces you to make some tough decision. There are top options that are very tempting but with value found across the board making lineups work shouldn’t be a problem. Elite quarterbacks and their targets get opportunities to strike against bad defenses. There is lower cost players who have a ton of upside and can produce. Lets take a look at some bargains to use on Own The Play this week.

Ryan Fitzpatrick New York Jets $6,400
at New York Giants

Ryan Fitzpatrick may be the best option if you are looking to go cheap at quarterback. This week while technically a road game will be in the stadium he calls home. He gets to face a New York Giants defense that is allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Both Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker have been studs all season and there is no reason to assume anything changes this week. Stacking Fitzpatrick with Decker or Marshall is a must this week and using all three isn’t something i’d shy away from either.

Cam Newton Carolina Panthers $8,400
at New Orleans Saints

Cam Newton is far from a bargain when you look at him based solely on dollars you have to spend. However, bargains are based upon what you can get out what you spend especially compared to other options. This week Newton faces the Saints who have give up the most fantasy points to the position. Most will look at Tom Brady against the Eagles as the top option this week and don’t get me wrong it’s really nice. They have give up 5 touchdowns each of the past two weeks to Matthew Stafford and Jameis Winston. But Brady will be without Julian Edelman, Dion Lewis, Rob Gronkowski, and Danny Amendola as weapons. The Patriots also have injuries along the offensive line which hurts even worse with Gronk out, who is a very good blocker. Stacking Newton with Greg Olsen is a smart play this week but Devin Funchess or Ted Ginn could be nice options to use with Cam as well.

Alfred Blue Houston Texans $4,300
at Buffalo Bills

The Houston Texans have become a different team over the past few weeks. The defense has stepped its game up. They are averaging less than 10 points allowed over their last four games. Games going this way have done wonders for the usage of Alfred Blue. He is a player that needs consistent touches to produce fantasy value. The closer he gets to 20 carries the better he will be. The Texans defense should keep this game close and allow Blue to approach an ideal total. The run defense for the Bills has had issues as of late stopping the run. They have allowed the 6th most fantasy points to opposing running backs and have give up 4 touchdowns in that span.

David Johnson

David Johnson can be a tremendous value this week! (Matt Kartozian)

David Johnson Arizona Cardinals $3,800
at St. Louis Rams

Its David Johnson’s time to shine in the Arizona backfield. Chris Johnson has a fractured tibia and was placed on IR. Andre Ellington has turf toe and will miss this week for sure. David Johnson will get all the work making him a must play at sub $4,000. The Rams have been crushed by injuries to their defense. This has hurt their rush defense especially. Over the last 5 games they are 13 in terms of fantasy points allowed and over the last three they have give up the 5th most fantasy points to running backs. The can be had in the passing game where David Johnson can be extremely productive. Johnson is a must play this week for me.

Jarvis Landry Miami Dolphins $5,700
vs Baltimore Ravens

Jarvis Landry has been one of the few things in Miami to produce this season. This week he faces a Ravens secondary that looks to be improving on the surface. However digging deeper they have had a really easy schedule in terms of passing attacks they have faced. Landry can remind everyone this week how bad the Baltimore secondary is. Landry can produce like the other fantasy studs that have burned them in the past.

Eric Decker New York Jets $4900
at New York Giants

Eric Decker has been the model of consistency all season. He has had 80 yards or a touchdown in every game. This week he gets a match up with the New York Giants who have struggled to slow the passing game. They are 5th in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers. Brandon Marshall is also very tempting give the match up and someone I will likely use but Decker saves you $2,600 and can be just as productive this week.

Kyle Rudolph Minnesota Vikings $4,200
vs Seattle Seahawks

Kyle Rudolph is becoming a major factor in the Vikings offense with 18 targets over the past two weeks. He caught 13 of those targets for 159 yards and a score. This week he gets a Seahawks secondary that has had issues against the tight end. They have allowed the 4th most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. In the last two games they gave up 100 yards and a score to the 49ers and 7 catches by Steelers tight ends. Rudolph is the play at tight end this week if you’re not paying up for Greg Olsen or Delanie Walker.
