Week 9 NFL Picks Against the Spread

Welcome to Week 9 NFL Picks Against the Spread. Week 8 went good but not great. Had the shootout in New Orleans swung the other way it would have been a great week. This week features some shots on teams that are awful but catching too many points. It provides an opportunity for an undefeated team to stay perfect and anoint themselves as the class of the NFC. There is also a team placed on upset alert. Lets make some picks and find the winning side.

>Season Total 26-12-2
>Upset Alert 5-3

Carolina Panthers +2.5 vs Green Bay Packers

The Carolina Panthers have been very impressive this season. Their defense and specifically their front seven led by Thomas Davis and Luke Kuechly have been incredible. It also doesn’t hurt having Josh Norman in the secondary to lock down the best opposing wide receiver. Cam Newton and the offense should be able to move the ball against the Packers defense that has been impressive this season but is battling injuries especially in their secondary. The Panthers will cover the 2.5 points at home and likely win outright.

St Louis Rams at Minnesota Vikings Under 40

This game features two defenses that have played really well of late going against offenses led by talented running backs. While Todd Gurley and Adrian Peterson are incredible talents that have been producing. They will have a much more trouble gaining traction this week against these tough front sevens. This is going to be a low scoring, field goal fest and should go under fairly easily.

Washington Redskins +14 at New England Patriots

This is going to be very difficult to pull the trigger on but the Redskins are the right side here. They have Jordan Reed back to help the passing game. Desean Jackson could also be back for this one to help stretch the field and add the ability for the big play. The Patriots will dominate this game but two touchdowns is too many points. New England will get up between 7-10 points and stay there for most of this game. Take the points in this one and check in after it’s over, you will be happy.

San Francisco 49ers +7.5 vs Atlanta Falcons

Blaine Gabbert is starting at quarterback for the 49ers so they’re obviously the right side. The 49ers defense will be key and they have played much better at home. This week they face Falcons team that has failed to cover in 5 of their last seven games. Devonta Freeman should run well and help control the clock. The Falcons will win this game but won’t cover the more than a touchdown spread. Take the Niners in this game.

Chicago Bears +4 at San Diego Chargers

The San Diego Chargers come into this game with a ton of questions. They lost Keenan Allen for the season with a lacerated spleen. Malcom Floyd and Steve Johnson have the ability to step in and make up the difference. They are still having offensive line issues that don’t help. They are likely going to play without Eric Weddle in this spot. Even though the Bears are without Matt Forte, Jeremy Langford has the talent to step in help the offense keep rolling. The Bears fans should be well represented Monday night as well even in San Diego. The opposing fans always make their voice heard.
