Fantasy Football: Week 4 Standard Scoring Rankings
- Updated: October 1, 2017

Welcome everyone to week 4 of my fantasy football standard scoring rankings! Each week I break down each position, to help with setting lineups. Let’s jump into it!
QB:
- Tom Brady @ CAR
- Russell Wilson vs IND
- Drew Brees @ MIA
- Dak Prescott vs LAR
- Matt Ryan vs BUF
- Carson Palmer vs SF
- Marcus Mariota @ HOU
- Trevor Siemian vs OAK
- Phillip Rivers vs Phii
- Jameis Winston vs NYG
- Kirk Cousins @ KC
- Eli Manning @ TB
- Ben Roethlisberger @ BAL
- Alex Smith vs WAS
- Deshaun Watson vs TENN
First timers: Eli Manning and Deshaun Watson make my rankings for the first time this year. These choices are primarily matchup based, where the Bucs just got slaughtered by the Vikings through the air, and the Titans are just plain bad against the pass. I expect a huge week for Eli to OBJ because of this.
Would have never guessed: Going into the season, I may have told people that I wouldn’t expect to see Alex Smith or Trevor Siemian in these rankings, but I cannot ignore their play this season any longer. Look for these guys to continue their hot streaks moving forward.
WR:
- Kareem Hunt vs WAS
- Ezekiel Elliot vs LAR
- Le’veon Bell @ BAL
- Todd Gurley @ DAL
- LeSean McCoy @ ATL
- Leonard Fournette @ NYJ
- Devonta Freeman @ BUF
- Jay Ajayi vs NO
- Dalvin Cook vs DET
- Melvin Gordon vs PHI
- C.J. Anderson vs OAK
12. Demarco Murray @ HOU - Carlos Hyde @ ARI
- Chris Thompson @ KC
- Mike Gillislee vs CAR
Waving the white flag: I just can’t avoid putting Kareem Hunt at the top any longer. This guy is getting the work load and is producing with it beyond what any of us thought. I am going to keep riding the Hunt train as long as I can. Another guy who is producing out of his mind is Chris Thompson. He has tremendous value in PPR leagues, but also putting up enough yards to contend in standard leagues as well.
Opportunity, Opportunity, Opportunity: The RB grades this year are all about the number of carries these players are getting. With the number of bell cow running backs seemingly decreasing each week, we need to keep going with the guys who are still getting the majority of carries.
WR:
- A.J. Green
- Odell Beckham Jr. @ TB
- Antonio Brown @ BAL
- Julio Jones vs BUF
- Keenan Allen vs PHI
- Michael Thoms @ MIA
- Dez Bryant vs LAR
- Mike Evans vs NYG
- DeAndre Hopkins vs TENN
- Brandin Cooks vs CAR
- Stefon Diggs vs DET
- Doug Baldwin vs IND
- Devante Parker vs NO
- Tyreek Hill vs WAS
- Larry Fitzgerald vs SF
I’m Qutting, Kinda: I can’t keep putting Antonio Brown at the top until the Steelers show me they are as explosive of an offense as they should be. This week I am going with A.J. Green and Odell Beckham in front of him, as they should be able to dominate their matchups, and have no one else on their team to take away their production.
TE:
1.Rob Gronkowski vs CAR
- Zach Ertz @ LAC
- Travis Kelce vs WAS
- Delanie Walker @ HOU
- Jason Witten vs LAR
- Jimmy Graham vs IND
- Charles Clay @ ATL
- Eric Ebron @ MIN
- Jared Cook @ DEN
- Cameron Brate vs NYG
- Evan Engram @ TB
- Jordan Reed @ KC
- Coby Fleener @ MIA
- Austin Seferian-Jenkins vs JAC
- Benjamin Watson vs PIT
Matchup time: Cameron Brate has a prime matchup against the Giants who are notoriously bad against tight ends. I expect Brate to get into the end zone again this week, and continue the red zone rapport he has with Winston.
