2016 Dynasty IDP Defensive Tackle (DT) Rankings
-
Updated: August 25, 2016

Many have asked about doing DT rankings separately as the IDP community continues to grow & expand. With teams wanting to clog the lanes and disrupt the QB the defensive tackles are becoming a force to have nowadays and everyone is trying to find the next Aaron Donald; you won’t but there’s a bunch of other options out there you’ll be fine with. With guys like Fletcher Cox (PHI) and Malik Jackson (JAC) getting the DT tags has given the DT unit a bit more muscle to flex; and to your benefit they’ll continue to beast yet some may have lowered their value and may not want them anymore (that’s where you move in and get em’!).
There are a handful of up and coming DT’s that should be had and you should be comfortable starting them as your weekly DT1 starter; guys like Eddie Goldman (CHI), Malcom Brown (NEP) and if you wait then guys like Quinton Dial (SF) and Tyrunn Walker (DET) give you value. You shouldn’t expect your DT to be your highest scoring IDP but be content they give you consistently 4-7 points as majority of them just clog the lanes and eat up the run.

The rookies like Sheldon Rankins (NOS) and Jarran Reed (SEA) look to give you impact right away, I’m big on Butler in dynasty though as he’ll be a force on that CAR line, should be able to get after the QB a bunch of times but he’ll be fighting for snaps behind Star & Kawann for now so stay patient with him. Kenny Clark (GBP) looks to eat right away as GBP is desperate for DL help and production, keep him on your radar.
