Fantasy Baseball: Week 7 Two-Start Pitchers
-
Updated: May 16, 2016

The Week 7 two-start pitching options fell like polar opposites. The top contains no brainer studs with solid match ups and the bottom contains gas cans that are likely to get lit. There are a few names in the middle that are interesting. The danger of a terrible start is low and the potential production gives owners something to be excited about.
The hardest pitcher to rank this week is Dallas Keuchel. Last years AL CY Young winner has struggled this season especially on the road. He is 16th this week which puts him in the weird middle ground. He is on the road against a White Sox lineup that has been impressive thus far. It could be an ugly Keuchel if he isn’t locating his pitches. Then he comes home where he has been better but faces a Ranger lineup that can put up crooked numbers. I wanted to rank him lower but between his skills and last seasons performance I can’t drop him much further.
Fantasy just got a whole lot better thanks to Monkey Knife Fight. With fast-paced games like Rapid Fire and Either/Or, it’s never been easier to play fantasy and win. New to MKF? Get Exclusive $100 Deposit Match + Free $5 Game >

Low owned Two-Start Options
Adam Conley | Miami Marlins | Owned in 29% on ESPN
Adam Conley had a poor performance in his last outing against the Brewers giving up four earned runs and only getting four strikeouts. He went into that outing after back to back shutouts. I expect a bounce back week from Conley in his two starts. He starts on the road against the Phillies where he should be able to put up solid numbers and a good strikeout number. He then comes home to face a tough Nationals lineup but gets the boost of a home ballpark that is pitch friendly.
Jerad Eickhoff | Philadelphia Phillies | Owned in 16.5% on ESPN
Jerad Eickhoff is very tempting this week with his two starts coming at home. There is concern with teams stacking lefties against Eickhoff which causes problems. He has shown the ability to put up impressive strike out totals despite facing two teams that are in the lower half in terms of strikeouts.
Sean Manaea | Oakland Athletics | Owned in 6.5 on ESPN
Sean Manaea hasn’t been great since joining the rotation in Oakland but the skills are there for him to be a season long contributor. He is a lefty with strikeout potential and the ability for quality starts. He gets two tasty match ups at home against two teams that struggle against left-handed pitching. Its been a rough start for Manaea but better outings are coming. As Ben Rolfe and I discussed on the podcast this may be the last chance to get him in many leagues.
