Own the Play Week 12 Bargain Bin Finds

Brian Hoyer and Deandre Hopkins

Own the Play Week 12 has a fully stocked bargain bin despite Thursday’s 3 game slate. You can save a ton of money on quarterback this week which helps you load up on other positions. You also want to stack the stud receivers with the cheap quarterback options. Also grab those young running backs who can produce elite numbers and a bargain bin price tag. Lets find value on Owntheplay.com

Brian Hoyer Houston Texans $5,600
vs New Orleans Saints

Brian Hoyer is the play at quarterback this week. He is facing a New Orleans Saints defense that has been atrocious against the pass all season especially bad as of late. Kirk Cousins, Marcus Mariota, and Eli Manning have scored 28 points or more in the last three games. Hoyer should continue the run of quarterbacks destroying the Saints defense. Stacking DeAndre Hopkins with Hoyer is the way to go if you play him. It also allows a ton of flexibility with the rest of your lineup.

Jameis Winston Tampa Bay Buccaneers $5,900

Jameis Winston is continuing to improve as a quarterback and has been a big part of the recent success of the Buccaneers. This week Winston is on road but facing a Colts defense that can be had. A week ago Winston got Vincent Jackson back and he reminded everyone how well he can play. Indianapolis has allowed the 10th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. Winston showed his ceiling with the 5 touchdown performance a week ago. He likely won’t repeat the touchdown total but has a chance to approach 30 fantasy points again this week. Stacking him with Mike Evans or Vincent Jackson makes a ton of sense this week.

Javorius Allen Baltimore Ravens $5,800

Javorius Allen has shown flashes of his talent all season but hadn’t had the opportunity to dominate the carries. While an injury to Justin Forsett isn’t the ideal circumstance to get the lead back role, his time has come. He gets a golden opportunity this week to explode against a Browns defense that has allowed the most rushing yards to opposing running backs. Cleveland is also 7th in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. With Matt Schaub under center replacing Joe Flacco who was also hurt last week, the Ravens should lean on Allen and the rush attack.

Thomas Rawls Seattle Seahawks $5,900

Thomas Rawls has gotten 15 plus carries in four games this season. In three of those games he got over a 100 yards with two eclipsing 150 yards and one over 200 yards rushing. He can also be a threat in the pass game as evidence by his 3 catch and 46 yard game a week ago. While the Steelers haven’t been ran over this season Rawls has a price tag that is worth taking a gamble on. He can produce a nice day especially with the Seahawks looking to keep the explosive Steelers offense off of the field.

Vincent Jackson Tampa Bay Buccaneers $5,000

We talked about how bad the Colts secondary has been this season when I recommended Jameis Winston. Another week back for Vincent Jackson allows a terrific opportunity for a big game. Vontae Davis, the Colts best cover corner will likely be on Mike Evans this week. It should give Jackson an opportunity to have a huge day and likely find the end zone. 5 plus catches and 70 or so yards is very much in play for Jackson this week.

Travis Benjamin Cleveland Browns $4,700

Travis Benjamin is very excited to see Josh McCown back under center this week. The two players had a tremendous rapport prior to McCown’s injury. Now the two are set up for a big week against a defense allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. In the last game between the two teams Benjamin had 6 catches for 83 yards. A game like that or better should be the assumption for him.

Heath Miller Pittsburgh Steelers $3,100

The Seattle Seahawks have been destroyed by opposing tight ends all season. They have allowed the 4th most fantasy points to that position. This week Heath Miller comes to town and Ben Roethlisberger will be under center. This sets up to be monster game come Sunday. Expect a 4 plus catch game for Miller with 50 plus yards and a touchdown.

Crockett Gillmore Baltimore Ravens $4,300

Crockett Gillmore has been really solid since returning from injury. The loss of Joe Flacco doesn’t hurt my optimism for him this week. Matt Schaub should use the tight end early and often this week. The Browns have allowed the 12 most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. Gillmore should be a second or third target all game long for the Ravens. Expect him to be peppered with targets and produce for a very nice price.

Minnesota Vikings $3,200

The Minnesota Vikings are on the road this season but have a tremendous opportunity. The Falcons will be without Devonta Freeman who has been their offense for the most part this season. They will also be without Leonard Hankerson who was injured a week ago. Assuming the Vikings do not get absolutely destroyed by Julio Jones they should produce a nice game. They have can do well for a very affordable price tag.
