Blake Bortles, $11,100, JAX @ BAL: Bortles is coming off a mixed week against a really tough defence so he will be thrilled to be facing the Ravens this week. So far in 2015 Baltimore rank second for most fantasy points given up to QB’s. The only blemish on Bortles is that Allen Hurns is potentially out diminishing his targets. However, with Julius Thomas being underutilised since his return I still think Bortles can have a really big week against a pretty ropey defence.

Kirk Cousins, $10,200, NO @ WAS: Whilst Bortles comes up against the second worst defence against the QB, Cousins gets the worst. The Saints gave up over 35 points to Mariota last week and whilst I think he is better than Cousins by some distance I still think Cousins can be a top option. Cousins has been pretty ropey this season but the Saints defence has been far worse than that at times averaging 24 points a week to QB’s so for rock bottom price he could be a solid usable asset this week.

Ryan Mathews, $6,800, MIA @ PHI: Given his limited playing time it is hard to really get behind Mathews but at this price it is really hard to not just take a punt on him. Last week he 11 carries, the most he has had when Murray has been active, and he made the most of it averaging 6 yards per carry and scoring his third touchdown in three games. Even as a part time back I like his potential especially just $800 over base price with a really nice match-up.

James Starks, $9,200, DET @ GB: Starks appears to have unseated Lacy as the number one in Green Bay but when prices for this week were set that wasn’t sure. Therefore, his price is likely to jump next week but for this week I think he is a really good option against a Detroit defence which was savaged by KC in London two weeks ago. Just beware that Lacy may still get the goal line work and this could hurt Starks value but I expect GB to get up big and then pound it with Starks.

Davante Adams, $8,600, DET @ GB: Adams saw 11 targets last week in his second game back from injury. He appears to have slotted straight back in as the second target of Rodgers but last week the Packers were chasing the game and had to pass to get back into it. This week I can’t help but think that they will smash the Lions out of the park having seen Detroit look worse than awful first hand in London and that could go either way for Adams. However, with all the talk about how the Packers don’t look good they make want to make a statement this week and I think that could lead to a nice week for Adams.

Danny Amendola, $8,000, NE @ NYG: The sad news of Dion Lewis’ injury this week led me to immediately wonder how the Patriots will replace his production and Amendola seems an obvious answer. The Patriots offensive line is in tatters and the Giants all of a sudden have found a pass rush with the return of JPP so I expect Brady to lean heavily on the short passing game. This should mean a massive week for Edelman and I think Amendola also benefits out of the slot.

Jordan Reed, $8,800, NO @ WSH: The Saints have given up seven touchdowns to tight ends and let Delanie Walker have a career game last week (Yes, I know about the fluke catch). Reed is a really good tight end and a favourite of Cousins who could be looking a monster week in what will be a shootout with the Saints.

Benjamin Watson, $8,100, NO @ WSH: Watson has alternated 30 point games the last four weeks with the good games coming when he had 9 or 10 targets. Last week he could easily have had a touchdown but it was Josh Hill’s number dialled up on that particular play. With the Saints defence they are going to end up in shoot-outs most week so Watson has the chance to have good weeks more often than not.
