Pre-Combine Rookie WR Rankings- Dynasty Football We are months away from the NFL draft, let alone any rookie drafts, but Id like to get my early rookie rankings out before the combine. There will be minor changes throughout and after the scouting combine and NFL Draft but I wouldn’t expect a dramatic change. Hours and hours of film study have been put into evaluating the skills each wide receiver possesses, both positive and negative. Below there is 31 wide receivers ranked and a few skills that stood out on film.

NFC West - Hard Evidence Quarterback fr.wikipedia.org Russell Wilson As a start to this article and dynasty NFC West run-down, I began to write some words about Russell Wilson and my stance on him from a dynasty perspective. As I started writing about opportunity and looking into what it would take for Russell Wilson to be an elite top 5 quarterback every year,

It’s the last night before the NBA heads to New Orleans for All Star Weekend. After yesterdays flurry of 13 games, tonight is more chill, with just two games to focus on. On to some player selections (this will not be as poetic as @SaidHeHadAStory provided you yesterday) (note: The salary’s I use come from Draft Street) Kevin Durant, OKC ($22,784) @ LAL- There really is not much to say about KD anymore. I can spit

It’s our last big night of hoops before the All-Star game. Hard to believe we are already here past the midway point of the season, and into the final stretch. Instead of my typical start and sit of my plays tonight, I’ve decided to do things a little differently. I consider the All-Star break a little holiday from daily leagues, so that’s how I’m going to treat it. I hope you enjoy reading it as

On February 19th, Lucas Oil Stadium will be the focal point of the NFL, hosting 335 draft prospects with a record 85 underclassmen, as head coaches and personnel departments reunite for the scouting combine. For dynasty owners, the combine is a critical part of the off-season and is yet another data point for the puzzle we are building. Combine numbers have the ability to inflate prospects while dropping others, I will highlight 21 players you

It’s the second to last big night before the All-Star break. Hard to believe that we are more than halfway through the season, and almost into the final stretch. It seems like the season just started! But we still have a great night of basketball ahead of us hoop heads. Seven games to look forward to tonight; four of which have a spread over 200. Personally, my favorite matchup is the Thunder/Blazers game, but more

We head into an All-Star break shortened week coming off a strange Sunday. The Pistons, coming off two straight impressive wins, fire their coach. The Clippers lay a 45 point thumping on the 76ers. Kevin Durant falls an assist short of a triple double, and Mason Plumlee was the 5th highest DS scorer with 44.75 points !! Tonight sees six games on the schedule. Our beloved 76ers return to action, as they travel north to

With the draft season upon us, it’s time to move on to the NFL Draft. Today we are going to take a quick look at my top 10 rankings for the defensive positions with some honorable mentions who just missed the list, along with the top 5 for nose tackle, kicker and punter. This is just a quick list for each position, but as we get a little farther into the offseason and we get

While doing my Dynasty Detective Dashboard research for the NFC West installment, I started with the meat and potatoes of the article – Russell Wilson. I’ll come right and tell you that I strongly believe that Wilson is a top 3 quarterback in the NFL not from a fantasy perspective, but from a true quarterback perspective. I fell in love with Russell’s game very early. Matt Waldman of footballguys.com boldly stated very early in

IDP (Individual Defensive Player) dynasty leagues are fast becoming the best way to get the most out of fantasy football. Rather than playing fantasy football with team defenses, you get to use linebackers, cornerbacks, safeties, defensive tackles, and defensive ends. Each of these players are awarded points for tackles, sacks, tackles for a loss, interceptions, forcing fumbles, and many more. How your league scores each of these statistics and the number of defensive players you must

A Saturday night with 7 NBA games on the schedule is upon us. There are several contests with pretty high totals, the greatest of which is the Nugget / Piston tilt with a 215.5 O/U. The Blazer / T’Wolves game in Minnesota also has a high total of 211 with just a 1 point spread. On to some player selections: (Note- my salaries are from Draft Street) The high priced studs: Kevin Love, MIN ($22,968)- Love

After coming within a few plays of a Super Bowl birth in 2012, the biggest news of the offseason for the Falcons was the Tony Gonzalez retirement announcement. Whether he wanted to leave the game before his body started to break down (can you blame him?) or if he wanted to channel some Ray Lewis juju (again, can you blame him?), the football community was ready to accept that 2013 was the last year

Ah, yes. Friday has finally come, which means another big night in the NBA for us Hoop Heads. Ten games are slated for this evening, six of which have a spread over 200 points. The most interesting matchup for me tonight is the Sixers/Lakers game. The Lakers have yet to hold a team to under 100 points this year, and the Sixers allow the most points of any team in the league. But the lineup

After a whirlwind Wednesday night, it’s time to sit back and take tonight off…..NOT!! Only two games on the schedule this evening, but that’s enough to satisfy your daily DFS craving. Neither game is expected to be an offensive show, with both totals under 200. On to some selections: (Note- my salaries come from draft street) Steph Curry, GS vs CHI ($19,096)- The highest priced and most obvious play of the night. Chicago is known as

Tonight, if you’re like me, is one of my favorite nights to play fantasy hoops. Only four games to choose from, but this is where you can truly shine and win some serious cash in daily leagues. Tonight I am slightly favoring two games more than the other two. The Lakers/Timberwolves game has the highest over/under at 215. The other game I like a lot tonight is the Warriors/Bobcats game, though I have to admit

It is time for teams to start looking at who are the best players in the draft and who they want to try to draft for their team. Opinions will vary, debates will happen and it is one of the most fun and exciting

Hope all you NBA DFS’ers survived yesterday without an NBA daily game to play. At least there was a great Super Bowl to watch last night to not think about hoops. Tonight, back to the grind as we tackle an eleven game NBA schedule. As I normally do, I like to look at the highest totals on the board with the tightest spread. The clear cut choice in that area is the Clippers / Nuggets

| Josh Gordon will be suspended for the entire season |
|
The year long suspension for Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has been upheld per multiple media reports. The potential for a reduced suspension seemed somewhat realistic with a delay in decision on his appeal. The Browns offense will take a huge hit without him. Owners in dynasty leagues may want to make a move for Gordon who has number one wide receiver upside. The price will never be lower than after with this news.

| Brian Hoyer named starter over Johnny Manziel |
|
The Cleveland Browns have named Brain Hoyer their starting quarterback for week one. This may or may not be a shock to everyone. Johnny Manziel will likely start at some point this season. When that it happens depends on how well Hoyer and the Browns do to begin the season. Hoyer helped Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron be fantasy stars last season. Manziel taking over shouldn’t hurt the pass catchers in this offense.

| Tampa Bay Buccaneers Charles Sims will undergo Surgery |
|
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Charles Sims will undergo surgery on the ankle he injured in practice. Sims is expected to be out for 12-14 weeks. This should be good news for Doug Martin owners, as Sims seemed the likely contender to carries in Tampa Bay. Bobby Rainey, Mike James and Jeff Demps are all vying for carries as well. Sims could be a worth add from the waiver wire depending on how the early part of the season goes.

| Marcell Ozuna |
|
Ozuna went 2-4 with two RBI, and a home run. His second game in a row with a HR. Ozuna had been struggling, but it may be possible the struggles are over. He is still producing some good HR numbers, if he can cut down on the strikeouts things could turn around for him.

|
| Chris Sale |
|
Sale came off the DL in a big way Thursday night, throwing six shutout innings with ten strikeouts. Sale had a no- hitter going into the sixth, but with two outs Zolio Almonte singled to center to break it up. According to Sale and manager Robin Ventura, they had discussed before the game that even if Sale had been throwing perfect game he was not pitching more than six innings.

|
| Dallas Keuchel |
|
Keuchel dominated again Monday night against the Angels. Throwing almost his second complete game in consecutive outings. Keuchel threw 8.2 innings, allowing 5 hits, 2 earned runs, and he stroke out 8. Keuchel has been very tough, not allowing no more than 4 runs in his nin starts. He will look to continue his dominance on Saturday against Seattle.

| Sebastian Coates, Sunderland – DEF |
|
The Black Cats made a pair of signings on deadline day for season-long loans. Coates joins from Liverpool and Ricardo Alvarez from Inter Milan. Coates struggled to get any pitch time in his three seasons at Liverpool, making only 24 appearances including just six starts. The defender suffered a major knee injury last summer, but should be set for plenty of pitch time at Sunderland. Alvarez was part of the 2014 Argentina squad that lost 0-1 to Germany in the final and picked up 14 goals in 90 appearances for Inter. Source: bbc.com

| Hatem Ben Arfa, Hull City – MID |

Ben Arfa will join Hull City on a season long loan deal with Newcastle United that required a deadline extension of two hours to get the deal done. Club manager Steve Bruce was quite busy on the day, signing four players including Uruguay International Abel Hernandez, Gaston Ramirez from Southampton and Mohammed Diame from West Ham United. Ben Arfa and Ramirez are season-long loan deals while Hernandez and Diame both inked themselves three year deals with their new club. Source: foxsports.com

| George Boyd, Burnley – MID |
|
The newly promoted club made a trio of moves on deadline day including Boyd coming over from Hull City on a three year deal. Boyd had preformed well at Hull, but failed to earn any consistent playing time. Now he will bolster the Clarets midfield position. Michael Keane joins the defensive line after making only five appearances for Manchester United, most recently playing in the 1-1 draw between the two clubs last week. Nathaniel Chalobah joins Burnley from Chelsea on a loan deal and despite not having any Premiership time, the midfielder has impressed while on loan at multiple clubs. Source: …
