When is the right time to forget about football? If you have a hard time answering the question, you are not alone… let’s continue. The term ‘Dynasty Football’ has sent shivers down the spine of those who have yet to cross over from the redraft world. To a degree, many fears are valid; it’s as if you’re jumping into the deep end of the pool without being taught how to first swim. I joined my

“1.01 for Welker and 2.07? Lemme know.” The email from “Uncle Willie” came in a few days ago. Willie is an original owner in a 12 team PPR dynasty league started in 2001. While a big football fan and an avid fantasy player, he has yet to win our league’s championship. Some years, it’s due to injuries (see below). Other years, it’s been poor trade decisions (an infamous Adrian Peterson for Darren McFadden swap

The buzz surrounding the NFL draft and Fantasy Football dynasty rookie drafts soon to follow are the potential stud wide receivers out there for the taking. The first round of rookie drafts could see over half of the selections go for wide receivers. Selecting the right ones put you on the path to dynasty dominance. The wrong one and you will be back again with the first pick in 2015. What am I looking for when

What’s the Buzz, Tell me What’s Happening As I watched the series finale of “How I Met Your Mother” from my kids’ iPad via ear buds from the living room couch as my kids hoarded the television watching Frozen for the nineteenth time, I realized that I had missed out and a 7-year-running network television hit that everyone else within my age demographic seemed to love. I can candidly say that the iPad2 was purchased

Is Khiry Robinson for real? In the run up to the New Orleans Saints divisional play off game against the Seattle Seahawks, NFL hall of fame head coach Bill Parcells put in a call to his former understudy Sean Payton. Parcells wanted to ask one question….Why weren’t the Saints utilising rookie running back Khiry Robinson more often? Robinson, an undrafted free agent out of West Texas A&M had been impressive in spot duty during the

Many owners make the mistake of trying to win the first title in the league and make choices that hurts the team for the future. Money being involved can put pressure on an owner to draft players or make deals they never would have otherwise. If you

Perhaps, it was the heat I knew I would take for unceremoniously proclaiming Decker a lock for at top 10 wr finish in 2014, or maybe it had more to do with the fact that I some how wanted to work my man crush on Justin Timberlake’s new album

@FantasyGumshoe There is no Offseason It is the most critical time of year as an owner in dynasty fantasy football. This is the time of year that separates the men from the boys (or the women from the girls.) This is the time of year when you find out just how deep this fantasy football addiction runs. Since the Chicago Bears released Earl Bennett, Marquess Wilson has been a hot name in dynasty circles. The presumptive WR3 in a pass-heavy attack, Wilson’s talent and situation mean his dynasty stock has been on the rise in recent weeks, to the extent where some have been questioning whether the hype is getting out of control. Yes, Wilson is in line to be Chicago’s #3 wide receiver, but for the upcoming season he’ll

I would be willing to bet the answer to this question would be different depending on the person you ask. There is potential variation based on age, race, culture, and even social and economic status. Many might even choose to answer this question with another question, and so the rabbit-hole has begun. | Josh Gordon will be suspended for the entire season |
|
The year long suspension for Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has been upheld per multiple media reports. The potential for a reduced suspension seemed somewhat realistic with a delay in decision on his appeal. The Browns offense will take a huge hit without him. Owners in dynasty leagues may want to make a move for Gordon who has number one wide receiver upside. The price will never be lower than after with this news.

| Brian Hoyer named starter over Johnny Manziel |
|
The Cleveland Browns have named Brain Hoyer their starting quarterback for week one. This may or may not be a shock to everyone. Johnny Manziel will likely start at some point this season. When that it happens depends on how well Hoyer and the Browns do to begin the season. Hoyer helped Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron be fantasy stars last season. Manziel taking over shouldn’t hurt the pass catchers in this offense.

Sims could be a worth add from the waiver wire depending on how the early part of the season goes.

Sale had a no- hitter going into the sixth, but with two outs Zolio Almonte singled to center to break it up. The Black Cats made a pair of signings on deadline day for season-long loans. Coates joins from Liverpool and Ricardo Alvarez from Inter Milan. Coates struggled to get any pitch time in his three seasons at Liverpool, making only 24 appearances including just six starts. The defender suffered a major knee injury last summer, but should be set for plenty of pitch time at Sunderland. Alvarez was part of the 2014 Argentina squad that lost 0-1 to Germany in the final and picked up 14 goals in 90 appearances for Inter. Source: bbc.com

The newly promoted club made a trio of moves on deadline day including Boyd coming over from Hull City on a three year deal.
