Week 6 Snaps Report

Week 6 Snaps Report

Week 6 Snaps Report. The use of this report for fantasy is multi-fold:

  1. Team Speed vs. Passing or Rushing
  2. Team Positional Usages (Teams variation in RB/TE/WR)
  3. Player Snaps by Week
  4. Changes in Player Snaps (Improve or Declines)
  5. All this information aids in Line-Ups and DFS plays in week 7

Week 6 Snaps Report Team Average SNAPs vs. Average Targets

Week 6 Snaps Report. The metrics below focus on a team’s speed and target production. I have seen trends of more targets in faster teams and fewer targets from slower teams.

I presented all team average snaps vs. their team targets and sorted the list by team speed. High Speed – Green while Low Speed – Red. Additionally, I tracked the level of team targets using green X high targets vs. red Z low targets.

Note in the top 1 teams in speed had 45% of the higher targeting (green x).  In the bottom 6 in speed, no team had a high level of targets (green X). HOU/NYG/BAL/MIN/SEA/MIA

The rule-breaker teams of interest for further research. TEN, KC, ARI, and PIT seemed to be rule breakers with fast speed but low targets.

The faster teams should be a focus for deeper players, especially in PPR leagues, while slower teams are deep players avoidance. Rule of Thumb!

Targets vs. Team Snaps/Sec

Week 6 Snaps Report. The visual graph tracks the team speed and their targeting. The blue line maps the average snaps per each team going from left to right (High to Low Snaps). The highest speed teams are plotted to the left, moving to slower teams to the right. (Green fast to Red Slow).

Additionally, the red line with orange data points is tracking the team’s average targets. The pink line displays the league average in team average targets. As we look across the landscape, 6 fast teams also have higher targets as well. The slower 11 teams only had 1 fast targeting team (LV). Additionally, I marked the fastest snaps team with a Green Star and not the bias to the left.

I use these metrics to acquire deeper WRs in faster higher targeting teams!

Team Positional SNAP Usages, Speed, and Ratio of TE/RB and WR/RB.

Week 6 Snaps Report.  I use these metrics to check the usage of all my players by positions. Am I ignoring the data and instead of using name recognition or last year’s result bias? Look to the extreme? Confirm with the Bar Graph to see the landscape of positional usages.

Additionally, I tracked the ratios vs. RB usages and highlighted the high ratios by green colorization. Remember, this is a beginning in your weekly process, and always note the scoring levels as well. ARI TE is used in snaps, but you will find low scoring. Do not blindly follow any metrics without a common-sense view as well.

Collect these team usage extremes and scan through your players. Trade for higher used players. DFS plays for week 7 should be modified using these metrics.

The Blocks of 4 Teams (Alphabetical) contain:

  • TEAM
  • POS RB/TE/WR
  • % of TEAM POS Snap Usages
  • Average of Snaps/Second of Offensive Play
  • The Ratio of %Usages vs. the RB Positions TE vs. RB and WR vs. RB. Stained for Above League Average Ratios with Green Shading and Numbering
  • Bar Graph for Visual Learning of all Team Positional Usages

———————————————————–

For example, Ratio Extremes in ATL WR/  BAL TE/ and I colorized these spots in the following Bar Graphs by green colorization and numbering.

Move to higher usages and away from lower usages. These are across the season and give a broad view of a team. Compare of course to last weeks data as well.

Player Level Snaps Weeks 1 to 6 Within Their Teams.

Week 6 Snaps Report.  These tables contain:

  • Team
  • Position
  • Player
  • Weeks 1 to 6 Snaps
  • Season Snap Totals
  • Weeks 4/5/6 vs. Weeks 1/2/3 Snaps vs.  (Improve Positive Snap Increases? Decline Negative Numbers?)
  • Snap Change in Last 2 Games Played

Actionable metrics for trades, DFS plays, and Waiver Acquisitions or Drops. Moving to the higher used players is the suggested trend.

Example Analysis ARI.

Still watching Edmonds, he is still in the passing role, but he dropped back in SNAPs. Pundits hopes do not change SNAPs.  Kirk, the WR, is still the WR3 type, but he has scored recently and was SNAP leader last week. He went up +6 vs. all other WRs who declined! I have him on deep benches but not in short benches.

Team Level Player Snaps vs. Scoring Efficiency

Week 6 Snaps Report. These team level tables contain

  • Team
  • Position
  • Player
  • Scoring Efficiency
  • Average Snaps/Second

Use to focus on scoring players with good snaps! However, note good snaps does not equal scoring in many cases. Dig deep!

Example ARI. Pundits love Edmond? Biased to Scoring above SNAPs? Drake is solid in scoring and snaps! Beware Weak Player Takes!

Metrics First Then Deep!

Players Scoring and Snaps Across the League by Position

Use these metrics to value players for trades, add or drops, and DFS plays this week!

Questions to be addressed are:

  • 1) Why Low Snap Players Scoring More?
  • 2) Why High Snap Players not Scoring? Are they now “DUE”?
  • Example Damien Harris/L Bell both have High Snaps/Sec but lower Scoring?

Running Backs

Carson>Kamara>Cook=Jones. Top 4 so far. White is in the top group, so wake up if he is available in a 12 team PPR league! Find other hidden players!

Wide Receivers.

Fulgham > Claypool until others are back in PHI but enjoy it now. Crowder is a good WR to have. Note DHOP lower than you thought.
