2020 PPR Rankings with Player Uncertainty Levels
This Table includes:
- Bye Week
- Position Rankings
- Overall Name
- Fantasy Sport’s Professor’s Rankings (Scale of 100 to 0-Green to Red)
- Uncertainty Level of High, Average or Low
Firstly,gGone are days of a solid JAC DST and is at DST 24 and the K is at K23. Pass for me in 2020. The QB Minshew did flash last year but its a new season and DSTs will be ready for him. He is ranked at QB24 with uncertainity issues. caution in a 2 QB league.
Next, the RBs are Fournette et al. He is ranked at RB 10 but his 2019 was a down year and wonder if he drops more. I tagged him with uncertainty issues with 2019 in mind. The next RB2 is Armstead at RB 60 but high uncertainty. He was in this same role last year and did not prosper so much. The gamble is C Thompson a known commodity of a pass-catcher RB and if Minshew can dial him in he at RB 80 could be a dramatic improving RB into the RB 4 range. He has high uncertainty and late best ball acquisition. Not sure about Robinson at RB 104.
JAC did not use its TEs much in 2019 but they added Eifert from CIN. I rank him at TE 31. I suggest he has been brought in to mentor the rookie TE Josh Oliver. Watch him in dynasty leagues.
Finally, Minshew did wake up the WRs and they figure to be the strength for 2020. Chark is ranked at WR21 at the clear WR1 for the team. I think he is a nice pick at his price. Westbrooke at WR62 and the rookie Shenault is WR73 thus both at in the team WR2 range. Conley and Cole are deep WRs to be passed on unless injuries occur. I favor Shenault over Westbrooke for the later season as he could pass Westbrooke for WR2. He is a late grab for me in 2020.
2016 to 2019 Positional Based PPR Fantasy Point Averages (FPA), Team Usages, and Differences from 2019 to 4-year Averages
This table presents:
- 2016 to 2019 Fantasy Point Averages
- 4 Year Sum of Averages
- % of Positional Usage by the 4-Year Date
- % of 2019 Team Usages
- DIFF – 2019 vs last 4-year % Usages (Improving or Declining)
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS- Professor’s NFL Team Flash Card. JAX saw an uptick in QB/WR tandem by 3.5 and 4.4%. 2019 saw a great passing team with the the WRs producing RAW numbers of 623 FP vs the next highest 560 in 2016. It would be easy to predict a strong 2020 passing PPR positive season. Draft JAX WRs early and often.
On the flipside the RB/TE were down strongly by -4.4 and 3.5%. Watch for changes preseason but hard to see any big improvements unless the RBs pass-catch (C Thompson).
2015 to 2019 Team Level Targets Per Game, 2019 Usage, 5 Year of Targets/Game Usage, and DIFF in 2019.
This table contains:
- 2015 to 2019 Targets Per Game
- 5 Year Average of Targets Per Game
- %2019 Usages in Targeting
- % 5-Year Positional Usage Average
- DIFF 2019 vs 5-Year Average of Team Positional Usages
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS- Professor’s NFL Team Flash Card. Overall Comments: 2019 saw an increase by 5% in pass catcher RBs and JAC brought in Chris Thompson to increase that skill. They were used at a nice 30% level of targeting and I expect that level for 2020. The JAC RBs are Leonard Fournette RB8, Ryquell Armstead RB58, and Chris Thompson RB77. Thompson to me is a nice best ball target and late RB 4/5/6 type. Fournette is expected to be featured.
Next, the JAC TEs have been weakly targeted in the last 3 years and dropped by -3.4% T/G. They have Tyler Eifert TE37 and Josh Oliver TE44. Eifert is the play here early but given the poor usage it’s only in a TE premium league consideration.
Next, the JAC WRs dropped by 1.6% in Targets/Game but the QB will have more seasoning and I expect an increase. Currently, the WRs are D.J. Chark WR25, Dede Westbrook WR62, Laviska Shenault Jr. WR73, Chris Conley WR88, and Keelan Cole WR118. The public sees a clear WR 1 and 2A 2B type WRs. Given the low usage that was below 48%, I suggest the first 3 WRs for consideration and I lean to take the rookie over Westbrooke.
