Week 12: TNF Fantasy Preview Colts @ Texans

https://texanswire.usatoday.com/2019/11/19/texans-deshaun-watson-wont-make-same-mistake-twice/

This week’s TNF matchup has some serious implications for both teams and their playoff run. DeShawn Watson is coming off of his worst game this season, the Colts have Jacoby Brisset back and may also see the return of T.Y. Hilton. Both teams are sitting at the top of the AFC South at 6-4 and unless this game ends in a tie, one of these teams will emerge the victor.

Because the Colts and the Texans are division rivals and because of the weight this game holds for both teams, Week 12 TNF should be a pretty epic battle for real and fantasy football.

The Texans’ defense continues to struggle against every position except tight end where they are ranked an underwhelming 13th. Facing QBs, RBs, and WRs, the Texans weigh in at 27th, 24th, and 25th respectively.

If you need to stream a QB this week, you can do worse than Brisset. Fortunately, this is a pretty good week to stream the position with options like Brisset, Sam Darnold, Derek Carr, and even Baker Mayfield who should be available on your waiver wire.

If Hilton plays this week, he may be a must-start but temper your expectations for his first game back. I like Zach Paschal again this week and even Chester Rogers if you need a sleeper at WR.

If RB Jonathan Williams is available on waivers, go pick him up and start him tonight. He has the trust of the coaching staff and passed the eyeball test last Sunday filling in for the injured Marlon Mack. I also like Nyheim Hines in PPR formats. Jordan Wilkins is dealing with an ankle injury, and while he may play, he may also be limited. Of course, since it’s TNF, he’s probably going to score four touchdowns, but I still don’t have the confidence to start him.

The only position I don’t have confidence in for the Colts is the tight end. It’s the best part of the Texans’ defense for one, and I have no idea if it’s going to be Eric Ebron or Jack Doyle who gets the end zone looks. I would much rather stream the Jets’ Ryan Griffin than start Ebron or Doyle.

If it feels like this article has been dominated by the Colts, you are correct. The only two starters for the Texans are Watson and DeAndre Hopkins. Maybe Fells if you have to.

That’s it. I have zero confidence in Carlos Hyde, Duke Johnson, and Will Fuller this week. Is there opportunity? Sure. But, I don’t like it.

Colts Starters: Brisset (streaming option), Jonathan William, Nyheim Hines, Jordan Wilkins (deep leagues and if healthy), T.Y. Hilton, Zach Paschal, and Chester Rogers (deep leagues).

Texans Starters: Watson, Hopkins, and Fells (if you have to).
