This week, I am skipping the wide receiver position because I like all the plays that seem to be chalk. The top ten owned players, projected by Rotogrinders.com, have all the wide receivers at the percentage that I like. Almost like last week where Kupp, Allen, and Lamb were the top owned players and I played a lot of them. At the quarterback position, we have an interesting one, let’s get into it.
To Chalk – Matthew Stafford $6400
Stafford is in a great spot this week, facing the Buccaneers. The Buccaneers’ defense has allowed the least amount of rushing yards while allowing the 4th most passing yards. The Rams’ offense has been looking good and this game can easily hit the over of 55.5. The Buccaneers even allowed Matt Ryan, from the Falcons, to almost get 20 DK points last week. The Falcons are by far, a worse team than the Rams. Stafford should be above 30 DDK points this week, making him good chalk at his price.

Not To Chalk – Justin Herbert $6500
When it comes to constructing a lineup, it’s really hard to not click on Stafford when I look at Herbert. This week against the Chiefs feels like the same spot Herbert had last week against the Cowboys. The first time the Chiefs and Chargers played last season, it was a 23-20 game that went to overtime. He did rush for a touchdown but that was his only rush that game. It was a 4-yard rush. If I am targeting anyone on the Chargers’ side, it will be the skill position players and not Herbert. The price isn’t attractive if I can pay less for Stafford.
To Chalk – Najee Harris $6600
Harris has been off the field for only three total snaps so far this season. At the price of $6600, that is a steal for someone that is the clear-cut bell-cow running back. With five targets last week, he is seeing more upside in the running back slot. I wish the Steelers would run more than 14 times in a game, but Harris had 10 of those attempts. Being on the field that much during games is worth the price, even when he has a bad week.
Not To Chalk – Chris Carson $6400
I am not liking Carson’s production. The only good thing about Carson is that he is the goal line back. He scored two touchdowns last week against the Titans but saw zero targets. Travis Homer saw an uptick in his snap count and was targeted twice. This shows me that Carson is very much touchdown-dependent for his production. I will be well below the field in ownership of him.
To Chalk – Saquon Barkley $6500

This is the week to play Barkley in your GPP lineups and hoping he hasn’t lost his touch. For his skill set, I think his price should be closer to $7000. His price is dropping because he is playing for a bad team. I don’t hold too much weight in the WFT game because they do have a really good rushing defense. Barkley was on the field for 84% of the snaps with 13 rushes and 3 targets. He is facing a soft team in Atlanta that allowed over 100 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Eagles’ running backs in Week One. This is could be a letdown spot because it seems like he should perform well against Atlanta. In GPPs, I’m willing to take that risk by seeing 84% snaps against WFT.
