Chicago Bears’ rookie sensation Kyle Fuller is hurt; stand up Mr. Tim Jennings, who can make Matt Stafford’s inefficient passing a tonic for your fantasy team in Week 13 by converting his high-volume, low-accuracy passes into interceptions.
Week 12 Summary:
Antrel Rolle, New York Giants, S (v DAL): 6 tackles, 1 assist
Charles Woodson, Oakland, S (v KC): 7 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 assist, 1 sack
Bradley Fletcher, Philadelphia, CB (v TEN): 2 tackles, 1 fumble recovery, 2 passes defended
Stephon Gilmore, Buffalo, CB (v NYJ): 2 tackles, 1 assist
Week 13 Streaming Targets:
Tim Jennings, Chicago, CB (@DET)
Jennings has had to watch rookie Kyle Fuller tear it up, but after a quiet middle of the season spell and now an injury, it’s time for Jennings to step back into the spotlight. Jennings will be part of the first Thanksgiving Day game against Detroit, and with Matthew Stafford’s current form he could be heading for a big day once more. Stafford has the 6th most passing attempts in the NFL , but he also has 10 (count ‘em) picks thrown. Add to that his 58.8% completion rate (28th in the NFL, min. 100 attempts) and Jennings will be preparing his touchdown dance as I type. Prediction: 5 tackles, 3 assists, 1 pass defended INT Chance: 30%
Kenny Vaccaro, New Orleans, S (@PIT)
Vaccaro has had a quiet season so far, with just two games of 10 or more points; however, his matchup this week should get him back on track. If you’ve watched the Steelers this season you will know that Le’Veon Bell runs the ball a whole lot. In Week 11 he rushed 33 times against the Titans. I can expect Vaccaro to be getting involved in stopping him from getting into second gear as the Saints try to save their season. Prediction: 8 tackles, 3 assists, INT Chance: 10%
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, New York Giants, CB (@JAX)
DRC has featured previously in this column, and this week might be his best chance for interceptions. Blake Bortles has struggled this season with a league high 15 interceptions thrown, not helped by the Jags lack of a true number one WR. With Prince Amukamara out for the season, Rodgers-Cromartie is going to be the primary beneficiary of Bortles’ stray passes, as he tries to lead the Jags to a home win. Prediction: 4 tackles, 1 pass defended, INT Chance: 30%
Michael Griffin, Tennessee, S (@HOU)
Now Griffin suffered a shoulder injury in Week 12 so watch his status leading upto kickoff. If he is indeed out, then George Wilson is the obvious replacement for this matchup. Arian Foster and Alfred Blue have combined for 281 rushing attempts this season, and we’re only 12 weeks in! Foster matches the league high 5.1 yards per carry set by DeMarco Murray and finds no great difficulty in getting to the second level, here is where Griffin and Wilson too can perform and get your team some much needed points on the route to the playoffs. Prediction: 10 tackles, 4 assists INT Chance: 15%
