NFL 2020 Week 9 Defense Streamers

It is a busy week, I know. And I apologize for not getting last week’s IDP streamers out to you…my bad. Thank you for understanding and I will do better.

So let’s get on to the defensive streamers for this week:

HOUSTON TEXANS, ROSTERED 6%

The Texans will come off of their bye week and face the Jacksonville Jaguars. After a pretty good start, the Jaguars have cooled off considerably and that will be highlighted this week. The Jaguars will be without their starting quarterback, Gardner Minshew. The options were veteran Mike Glennon, or rookie Jake Luton. It appears Luton has won the job.

The Jaguars’ offensive line ranks 27th in sacks allowed. The Draft Network has described Luton as “not a progression read passer and almost invariably works half the field.”

This does not bode well when going up a defense that is currently sixth in blitz rate.

WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM, ROSTERED 24%

Washington was most likely dropped from defensive rosters because they were on a bye. They are legitimately a good defense. Washington is currently sixth in sacks and sixth in pressure rates.

Their opponent, the New York Giants, are 22nd in sacks allowed, 29th in offensive drives ending in turnovers and 29th in the league in points allowed to fantasy defenses.

NEW YORK GIANTS, ROSTERED 32%

The Giants defense held their own against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8, including two sacks of Tom Brady. This defense is fifth in pressure rate, 13th in sacks and fourth in quarterback knockdowns.

Kyle Allen is no Brady and his offensive line is 30th in sacks allowed and 32nd in sack percentage.
