Running Back

Joshua Kelley – Rostered in 55% of Yahoo Leagues

How Joshua Kelley is this widely available is pretty wild but here we are. He is a must add this week with Austin Ekeler sidelined for 4-6 weeks with a hamstring injury and a hyperextended knee.

Kelley was already someone who was seeing between 30% and 50% of the snapshare with a healthy Ekeler. I expect to see his workload increase over the next month plus. His value is only vaulted with the Chargers pass attack proving to be a legitimate weapon week in and week out.

If Kelley is rostered in your league, take a look at Justin Jackson. He is only rostered in 5% of Yahoo leagues is absolutely worth an add if you have the space.

He was expected to be the complimentary piece to Ekeler coming into the season. An injury in Week 1 quickly ended that thought. However, he is now back in the fold and could be a usable option in a Charger backfield that has shown a willingness to use multiple options.

Chase Edmonds – Rostered in 35% of Yahoo Leagues

The running back position in Arizona has been underwhelming as a whole but the potential for Chase Edmonds to gain a sizable share of this backfield is in play.

Starter Kenyan Drake left Sunday’s loss against the Panthers and did not return. Reportedly he is fine and just had the wind knocked out of him.

Adding Edmonds now, who was already seeing 20% to 30% of the snaps in this offense could lead to fantasy gold.

On Sunday he saw 10 opportunities (targets+touches). He produced 16 rushing yards and 24 receiving yards on 5 catches. His floor in PPR leagues even in a timeshare makes him worth adding, especially with bye weeks starting.

If Drake misses time or is replaced due to ineffectiveness Edmonds value would only vault. Add him now!

Damien Harris – Rostered in 30% of Yahoo Leagues

With Sony Michel heading to IR, Damien Harris saw his first game action of 2020. He saw 17 carries and produced 100 yards. This production came with the combination of Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham who combined for 190 passing yards and 3 INTs.

As of now Harris is the clear 1st and 2nd down RB in New England. His production should only improve when Cam Newton returns. While he may not see close to 20 carries every game, this offense should be much more productive allowing Harris to see work in the Red Zone.

James White will remain the passing down back in this offense but Harris should be added in all leagues.

Other RBs to Consider: Alexander Mattison, D’Ernest Johnson, and Ke’Shawn Vaughn

Wide Receiver

Tee Higgins – Rostered in 33% of Yahoo Leagues

Your chance to acquire Tee Higgins on the cheap is gone but he is still widely available if you are looking for help at WR. He is attached to a rookie QB playing well above his experience level usually displays.

Higgins has seen 16 targets over the past two weeks, elevating to the clear 2nd option in this pass attack behind Tyler Boyd . He has 9 catches for 117 yards and 2 TDs over that span. Get onboard with this ascending player before its too late.

I would be dropping the likes of TY Hilton, Brandin Cooks, Preston Williams and even Michael Gallup to add the rookie WR this week.

Scotty Miller – 16% of Yahoo Leagues

Looking for a widely available WR that can help you this week? The Buccaneers Scotty Miller is the name you should be targeting. He has put up 83 yards in back to back weeks and found the end zone last week against the Chargers.

Miller is a player that gets a sizable uptick with Chris Godwin out. The Buccaneers are expected to be without Godwin again this week as they face the Bears on Thursday. The loss of OJ Howard should open up more targets for Miller who lives in the middle of the field.

Gabriel Davis – 2% Rostered in Yahoo Leagues

Looking for an option in deeper formats? Gabriel Davis could be just the ticket. The Bills passing game has made a dramatic transformation this season. Not only has Josh Allen made massive strides but the play calling has continued to push expectations of this offense.
Stefon Diggs is the lead dog in this offense and is producing like it. Beyond him there is John Brown, who is great when healthy. When he is not, Davis becomes incredibly appealing.

In the game against the Rams when Brown only saw two targets dealing with a foot injury Davis stepped up. He caught all 4 of his targets for 81 yards. Despite seeing only 1 target in Week 2 and 4 Davis was able to produce for those that deployed him catching a TD in each game. Obviously that can’t be expected on a weekly basis but Josh Allen clearly trusts the rookie WR when they get in close.

While I would look at other options if I needed more immediate help, Davis is a piece that could pay off big as the season rolls along. Add him in deeper formats and look for opportunities to use him.

Other WRs to Consider: Cole Beasly, Brandon Aiyuk, Chase Claypool

Justin Herbert – Rostered in 16% of Yahoo Leagues

It appears as if the 2020 NFL Draft has given us multiple quarterbacks that should be long term starters including Justin Herbert. Since becoming the starter Herbert has averaged 310 passing yards and has thrown at least one touchdown. Last week against the Buccaneers was his best performance of the season throwing for 290 yards and 3 TDs.

The Chargers schedule is set up over the next few weeks for the success to continue. Los Angeles is home for three fantastic match-ups against the Jets, Jaguars, and Raiders over the next 5 weeks. They also go on the road for two contests where Herbert can be successful at New Orleans and Miami. If you have been frustrated by Carson Wentz, Daniel Jones or others give Herbert serious consideration this week.

Other QBs to Consider: Teddy Bridgewater and Tua Tagovailoa

Tight End

Robert Tonyan – Rostered in 30% of Yahoo Leagues

Just when I thought 2020 couldn’t get any weirder, Aaron Rodgers appears to have a fantasy relevant TE. Robert Tonyan had a monster performance on Monday Night Football catching all 6 of his targets for 98 yards and 3 TDs.

Obviously his ceiling game was amazing for anyone that started him but Tonyan was an ascending player before Monday night. He had 7 catches on 8 targets in his first two games of the season producing 75 yards and 2 TDs.

With Green Bay having issues keeping their WRs healthy, Tonyan should have a solid floor at a position that desperately needs depth. He should make for a strong play going forward.

Dalton Schultz – Rostered in 53% of Yahoo Leagues

Dalton Schultz is taking full advantage of his opportunities with Jarwin SZN coming to a quick conclusion. Despite sharing targets with Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup, Schultz has been able to see plenty of volume. He has seen 24 targets over the last 3 weeks, tallying 208 yards and 2 TDs on 17 catches.

If you are looking for a reliable option with a relatively safe floor, Schultz makes for a great add this week.

Other WRs to Consider: Eric Ebron and Mo Alie-Cox
