2020 PPR Rankings with Player Uncertainty Levels

This Table includes:

  • Team
  • Bye Week
  • Position Rankings
  • Position
  • Overall Name
  • Fantasy Sport’s Professor’s Rankings (Scale of 100 to 0-Green to Red)
  • Uncertainty Level of High, Average or Low

The CHI DST is in play for 2020 and is a solid play in best ball and redrafts for 2020.

QB and RBs

The issue of the QBs is murky and of high uncertainty. Foles or Trubisky is the question. It is easy to think each get some play in games. I rank them as QB35 and 36 just because of the this split possibility. The winner playing in the playoff will have value but who is it? Tricky.

The RBs are much more steady with Monty as the team’s RB1 at RB26 with slight upside. Cohen will be in the mix as he can pass-catch and collect passes and adds a explosive side to the CHI team. Cohen has independent value and is a target for me in Best Ball leagues. I also think Foles will use him more if he is the QB! Upside from RB35 with some uncertainty though.

TE and WRs

Graham is the TE now in CHI. He had his days back a while ago and is TE27 because I suspect he is very red-zone short yardage dependent. Uneven play expected best ball play only. Kmet might get play later in the season if CHI is out of the playoff race. Both him and Graham have elevated uncertainty for 2020. Caution.’

The CHI WRs have a definite structure of Robinson at WR8th, Miller at WR40, and Wims/Ginn as late WR100s uncertainty associated WRs. Miller is the gamble for me in here as he does have the uncertainty levels because of his uneven play. Like him more in best ball vs redraft.

2016 to 2019 Positional Based PPR Fantasy Point Averages (FPA), Team Usages, and Differences from 2019 to 4-year Averages

This table presents:

  • Team
  • Position
  • 2016 to 2019 Fantasy Point Averages
  • 4 Year Sum of Averages
  • % of Positional Usage by the 4-Year Date
  • % of 2019 Team Usages
  • DIFF – 2019 vs last 4-year % Usages (Improving or Declining)

CHICAGO BEARS – Professor’s Flash Cards.  In 2019 the Bear’s QB and WRs were highly used at +3.5% and 3.8% respectively as measured by % Team FPs. The WRs were  10. Allen Robinson 59. Taylor Gabriel  77. Anthony Miller. CHI had a WR1 with WR5 and WR7.  Mitchell Trubisky was 19th in yardage of targets. That limited the bigger plays. Foles can be take over because of that weak production in 2019. Foles could support Robinson and Cohen as nice plays for 2020.

On the other hand,  the RB and TE declined by -3.6 and -3.7%. Seemed to be a Blah season and 2020 may not have much more CHI growth. Note, TE Demetrius Harris and Jimmy Graham were added. Caution. CHI was a Single Top in QBs and a Bottom in TEs. Already have concerns for Graham.  The RBs can improve with Foles. Concerns for Monty for 2020 if CHI is behind and they use Cohen more.

2015 to 2019 Team Level Targets Per Game, 2019 Usage, 5 Year of Targets/Game Usage, and DIFF in 2019.

This table contains:

  • Team
  • Position
  • 2015 to 2019 Targets Per Game
  • 5 Year Average of Targets Per Game
  • %2019 Usages in Targeting
  • % 5-Year Positional Usage Average
  • DIFF 2019 vs 5-Year Average of Team Positional Usages

CHICAGO BEARS – Professor’s Flash Cards.  Overall Comments:  2019 saw a up year in RB and WRs while the TEs declined in Targets/Game. The CHI RBs were up by 5% and that was a dramatic increase vs the preceding years. David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen are main RBs with Cohen being the pass-catcher. Both are at a high RB 2/3 level. Curious if Montgomery can slip away for Cohen and command more of the RB pie. He could be an RB 2 type with some good breaks.

The TEs were missing in 2019 and dropped by 8%. Jimmy Graham and Cole Kmet are the TE 2/3 level TEs. Note CHI is expecting much concerns about that.

Finally, the WRs had a nice 3% increase and expect them to be steady in 2020. The WRs are Allen Robinson WR8, Anthony Miller WR41, Ted Ginn WR119 and Wims at WR122. Robinson is semi-solid for 2020 with Miller and Ginn at a boom best ball special. Wims is a mystery to me.
