Week 14 Wide Receiver Rankings

The Week 14 wide receiver rankings are here help you make tough decisions this week. Whether it is deciding which of your options to start with, or who you should be looking to pick up this week to cover your byes and injuries. Our team will be here the rest of the year ranking the offensive positions, defensive positions, and team defenses to try and help you win your fantasy football leagues.

Last week, Humphries finished as the WR12 and my other 3 picks (Kirk, Ellington, and Ateman all finished as WR3/FLEX plays). That’s a solid 4-4 taking you into the playoffs. I’ll try to give you some more winners to get you through the first round of your playoffs!

Below the table, I’ll be highlighting some pick ups for this week (if they are still available) and sneaky-starts for your bye-week needs. Hit me up on Twitter if you have any last minute questions!

Adam Humphries, TB vs NO (65%)

Well, the word is finally out about Humphries… it only took 6 weeks of me writing to get up to 65%. Not much to say here – if he’s available, grab him. If you have him – start him. He’s a top 24 option this week, in a potential shootout.

*Week 13*: Humphries is still under-owned. Since week 6, his worst PPR game since was 7.3 points. He’s averaged 14.7 ppg during that same time frame. Please let me know if you need any more reason to pick him up and I’ll rifle off the reasons.

*Week 12*: Humphries is making a triumphant return to this article. He dropped out for me with Fitzmagic at the helm because Fitz is a gunslinger and loves to throw it deep. Jameis does the same, but he’s also a smarter QB (barely) and uses check-downs and the middle of the field. With OJ Howard now out for the year, even more targets over the middle will be available. The Humph was averaging 8-9 targets a game with Winston, and now will likely get some extra looks from Howard’s absence. Don’t even think about this – grab him if he’s available. Start him if you need. He’s like Amendola… he might not blow up but he’s going to get you 8-10 points minimum. That’s likely what you need in week 12 making that playoff push or trying to hold that playoff spot you think you have locked up!

Anthony Miller, CHI vs LAR (32%)

Miller has been easy to forget about the last 2 weeks ,with Daniels at the helm. Before that, he scored 10+ points in 4 straight games, including a 5-122-1 line against the Lions in week 10. With Trubisky back, in a potential shootout against the Rams, Miller has a tremendous ceiling. Allen Robinson has looked very healthy lately and should put up big numbers, but Miller can really stretch the field and pick up good chunks of yards.

Bruce Ellington, DET @ ARI (8%)

Leaving Ellington up here again this week because the volume is there! He got even more targets last week (10) but only turned it into a 7-35-0 line. That’s still good for 10.5 points in PPR, so you could do worse. He’s got an extremely high floor in an offense that used to feed Riddick and Tate 200 targets and 170 catches per year.

*Week 13*: 12 catches on 16 targets in the last two weeks! That’s good enough to warrant a pickup in all fantasy leagues, no matter what I’m about to say next. He only gained 70 total yards on those 12 catches, lacking a touchdown. Regardless, Stafford and the Lions like to throw the ball. With Tate, and now Jones, out of the picture there are targets to be had. Ellington has always been a much better real-life football player than fantasy, but this game projects as a shootout. Even if he gets 6-60-0, that’s 12 points for you in PPR leagues. I just picked him up in my PPR league in which I’m currently fighting for a playoff spot, and there’s a good chance I start him over Josh Doctson this week.

Playoff players to stash, pickup, consider (weeks 15 & 16):

  1. Bruce Ellington (@BUF, MIN) – not the best matchups but a good volume stash
  2. Devin Funchess (NO, ATL) – two potential shootouts – don’t forget about Carolina’s WR1 for the first 6 games of the season
  3. Mike Williams (@KC, BAL) – love him in week 15 against the Chiefs… that could go above 80 points
  4. Tre’Quan Smith (@CAR, PIT) – couple of good matchups here, slightly risky but see how he performs against DAL and TB
