Ryan Fitzpatrick | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 50% Owned on Yahoo

The musical chairs that is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers started up again as the music played in the second half their game against the Bengals. Jameis Winston exited the game after 4 INTs and in stepped Ryan Fitzpatrick once again.

The Fitzmagic started when he entered the game. He threw for 194 yards and 2 TDs. The Fitzmagic will almost assuredly turn Fitztragic at some point, but until he does it’s time to ride with him.

This week he faces a Panthers team allowing the 18th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. They have allowed exactly 2 TDs in every game this season but one. I expect Carolina to put up points on this garbage Buccaneer defense. Fitzpatrick will have the opportunity to produce for his owners.

This season, it is the combination of Winston and Fitzpatrick that would be the QB1 in fantasy, over names like Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and whoever else you want to name.

He should be your top streaming option in leagues where he is available.

Baker Mayfield | Cleveland Browns | 39% Owned on Yahoo!

Need to look for a different option because Fitzpatrick is owned? Baker Mayfield is a great fall back option. Now there is some risk with Mayfield because the Browns made a coaching change and you are never 100% sure what you will see in their first game post firing.

That said, Mayfield has been solid this season including 2 straight games with 2 TDs or more. He faces a Chiefs defense that has allowed the 7th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. They have struggled in road contests allowing 270 passing yards per game and 7 total TDs.

I expect another solid performance from Baker this week with 250-300 passing yards and at least 2 total TDs.

Derek Carr | Oakland Raiders | 31% Owned

Derek Carr has been the ultimate boom or bust QB this year. He has two 4 TD games and three multi-turnover games. The offense seemed to move just fine a week ago without Amari Cooper. This week Oakland is “on the road” to take on the 49ers.

The matchup is great as San Francisco is allowing the 4th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. They have also allowed two or more passing TDs in every game but one this season.

Now, it seems as if Nick Mullens will get the start for the 49ers. This may take an offense that already has issues moving the ball and put it in neutral. This has the potential to limit the upside of Carr. It is also a Thursday night game which can always be a little strange.

If you are looking for upside Carr has it but he also could throw 1 or fewer TDs like he has in 5 of 7 contests this season. He is the ultimate risk/reward this week.
