Week 13 Defense Streaming
- Updated: November 30, 2017

With fantasy playoffs getting closer nailing the week 13 defense streaming is more important than ever for many teams looking to either make the playoffs or lock up the top seeds. The good news is there are some solid options with decent match-ups available at the lower end of the % owned range.
Start this week
Los Angeles Chargers (Yahoo ownership: 35%) vs. Cleveland Browns
The Chargers are one of the best defenses in the NFL and the fact they are only 35% owned is criminal. With the Browns being their opponents this week the Chargers could put up double digits two weeks running.
Tennessee Titans (24%) vs. Houston Texans
The Tom Savage led Texans are not good and the Titans defense is good enough that they should be able to put up some decent points in this match-up. Savage has five turnovers and has been sacked six times in his last three games.
Miami Dolphins (6%) vs. Denver Broncos
Denver cannot decide which of their bad QBs they are going to use and a Miami defense with a good D-line could have a field day against whoever they trot out on Sunday. Neither Trevor Semien nor Paxton Lynch particularly takes care of the ball and the O-line struggles to protect. This could be a monster game for the Miami defense.
San Francisco (1%) @ Chicago Bears
Being on the road is not ideal in this one but the Bears offense is distinctly average. If I need a defense that shouldn’t give up many points and will get the chance to make a few sacks, Mitchell Trubisky has been sacked 18 times in the last six games, then the 49ers are a good bet. Turnovers might be an issue as the Bears look after the ball in close games and I don’t see this being a game with the 49ers get up big.
Sit this week
Seattle Seahawks (95%) vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Seahawks are missing key pieces on their defense and have to face a very good Eagles team this week. I am stashing the Seahawks though because they still have Jacksonville, Dallas and Arizona on their schedule.
Carolina Panthers (68%) @ New Orleans Saints
The Saints offense is rolling and the Panthers just struggled to contain the Jets at times last Sunday. It will be a tough couple of weeks to own the Panthers with the Vikings coming to town in week 14. However, with Green Bay and Tampa Bay their week 15 and 16 opponents I think they are worth the stash if you can spare the bench space.
