We return yet again for another fight card as UFC Fight Night 62 Maia vs Laflare takes center stage Saturday night. I am hoping to bounce back this week from a pretty terrible performance with my Draftkings predictions for UFC 185. My predictions overall were about 50-50, but there were some pretty unpredictable finishes, and I read online of others’ struggles last week. Fear not however,as with any DFS sport we put the past in the past and get back to work. Sadly though UFC Fight Night 62 is a bit of a lackluster fight card. That won’t stop me from playing some daily fantasy MMA on Draftkings though, and it shouldn’t you either so LETS GET IT ON!
Once again we start with the Vegas favorites. The biggest favorites of the night include Erick Silva ($11,900), Amanda Nunes ($11,700) and Gilbert Burns ($12,000). I think that Erick Silva is near must play territory this week for a few reasons. First and foremost is his opponent Josh Koscheck ($7,500). Koscheck hasn’t won a fight since 2012 and will be fighting on short rest, fighting only a few weeks ago and getting brutally choked out by Jake Ellenberger. Adding to that is the aggressiveness of Silva, and you have a recipe for what looks like the best pick of the night.
There are some interesting mid priced fighter this week. Guys like Ryan Laflare ($10,400), Leandro Silva ($10,300), and Leonardo Mafra ($10,200) all make for good plays. Laflare and Mafra are both slight favorites and Silva is a slight underdog. While I’m not overly confident in any of these guys, you could do worse for the price.

If looking for sub 10k Priced fighters, there are actually some pretty solid options this week. that might not be favorites, but aren’t huge underdogs either, and will have a shot at victory. Fighters to look at in this category include Demian Maia ($9,300), Drew Dober ($9,000), Tony Martin ($9,500), Leonardo Santos ($9,900) and Akbarh Arreola ($8,600) are who you want to roll out on the cheap side. Besides Martin, the rest of these guys are all slight underdogs, which is a good sign for the price they are at. Honestly though I wouldn’t feel too comfortable playing any other fighters below these guys, although as I’ve said in the past, any fighter can win on any given day in MMA.
