Fantasy Football: Emmanuel Lamur Highlights the Week 3 IDP TwitterBag

I’m getting into this whole 21st century thing, so instead of email, I’m taking questions via Twitter. Welcome to the Week 3 edition of the IDP TwitterBag. Each week, I’ll take a handful of questions via Twitter and answer them here, because sometimes, I can’t answer in 140 characters of less. So, here are this week’s questions:

If Burfict is out, who’s the better week 3 start? Vincent Rey or Emannuel Lamur?

Great question. It looks like Burfict is doubtful, so I’m firing up Lamur, even though I do like Rey. Why Lamur? Easy…production and snap count. Lamur has missed just a handful of snaps. He’s posting a near 13 percent tackle rate and solid 0.24 point per snap rate. He’s decent in run defense, but his strength is pass coverage and that’s going to keep him on the field. I like Lamur as a high upside LB2 this week.

Rank these big play LBs for week 3- Clay, Kerrigan, Von or Justin Houston

1. Ryan Kerrigan
2. Von Miller
3. Justin Houston
4. Clay Matthews

The four sack game was a rarity, but I like Kerrigan’s match-up slightly better this week than the others. Houston and Miller are always a few snaps away from busting out. They are big play specialists, so it’s always a crapshoot.

What rookie LB are you most comfortable starting in week 3 and ROS? Barr, Shazier, Mack, Shembo, Mosley.

Shembo, already played, but I wouldn’t have suggested him anyway. Shembo is surpassing Joplu Bartu for snaps. I like either Shazier or Mosley since they are the established 3-down LBs and have been solid IDP producers out of the gate.

Who is week 3’s best CB matchup play?

There are quite a few good ones this week. Some of the match-ups I like:
Jonathan Joseph vs. NYG
Tramon Williams vs. DET
Xavier Rhodes/Captain Munnerlyn vs. NOS
Cary Williams vs. WAS
Janoris Jenkins vs. DAL

Very deep position and decent options this week.

Mike Sood

Better dynasty add: Kony Ealy or Everson Griffen?

I’d give the nod to Kony Ealy if you’re willing to wait it out with him. Greg Hardy, I can say with some measure of confidence, will not be back in Carolina after this season. At 23, they’ll give him time to develop.

Who you going with? Gotta pick up one to fill in for Sio Moore… leaning Lamur

Fire up Lamur this week. If you need more, refer to the question above.

Would you start Jelani Jenkins over Ogletree??

Very tough and never thought this would be a question in Week 3. Koa Misi is out for this week and Jenkins has been producing. He’s recorded 20 tackles at a 17 percent tackle rate. I don’t care where, or how, he’s making the tackles. He also hasn’t missed any tackles, so at this point, he’s not leaving points on the field. I think you have to play the hot hand and start Jenkins.

Milliner or the Island?

If those are your only options, I’d go Revis since he’s healthy and will be on the field.

Thanks again for all of your questions. We’ll do it again next week!
