The world of fantasy football began to return to normal in Week 2, as Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton retook their spots near the top of the quarterback scoring list. In Week 3, we expect Drew Brees to follow their lead and put up top numbers.
Just like every week, these rankings are a team effort from the 2QB/Superflex team here at FakePigskin. Josh Berger and Joshua Lake combine their rankings to provide you with one weekly ranking of the top 40 quarterback options. Here are a few notes on the rankings. If you’d rather just skip ahead and figure out which quarterback to start, scroll down.
Peyton Manning: Lake is all-in this week. Even though traveling to Seattle is a terrible matchup, Manning will be going in motivated to show a national audience that last year’s Super Bowl wasn’t the final word. It also helps that the Chargers provided a blueprint for how to exploit the Seahawks defense up the middle. Berger, however, isn’t so confident, and he has Manning at QB8 this week.
Fantasy just got a whole lot better thanks to Monkey Knife Fight. With fast-paced games like Rapid Fire and Either/Or, it’s never been easier to play fantasy and win. New to MKF? Get Exclusive $100 Deposit Match + Free $5 Game
Jay Cutler: Just like last week, the Cutler ranking will vary widely depending on whether his wide receivers, Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, are healthy enough to play. Keep a close eye on the injury report this week.
Carson Palmer: Right now we’d bet against Palmer playing in Week Three based on the news that’s coming out about his nerve injury, but keep an eye on the Cardinals injury report leading up to Sunday. If Palmer is out, stay far away from Drew Stanton, who we would rank around QB31 or 32 this week.
Kirk Cousins: Will the backup quarterback step in and lead the Washington offense to another great performance, or will the road game in Philadelphia prove too much for him? There isn’t a reason to fear the Eagles’ secondary, so we are cautiously optimistic.
