SNAPs Report Week 13
SNAPs Report Week 13 allows a focus on the team, positional, and player snaps, and snaps%. Use these metrics to find handcuffs, trade targets, DFS plays, lineups work, and player drops.
As usual, added and altered metrics using Snaps per Second, discussion of Time of Possession (TOP) vs. Rushing/Passing/Team Scoring, and other fun material as well.

Week 8 to 13 Average Snaps Per Second (SPS)
—————————————
Week 13 SNAPs Report. I focus from a top-down view starting with Team level Snaps Per Second. Then, I highlighted the highs/lows by colorization.

SNAPs/SEC is a metric that I suggest is superior as it includes the speed of snaps, and that rate is informative on team activity. Faster vs. Slower Teams must be considered in rushing metrics.
The top teams in Average Team SPS are LAR/DAL/SEA/MIN/JAX/PIT/CHI/HOU/NYJ -Green, while the bottom teams are GB/KC/LV/TEN/NYG/BAL/DEN/NE/ATL-Red through the first nine weeks.
My past analysis suggests slower SPS groups tend to have higher rushing. Good Tiebreaker for your RBs. I also included DIFFs (changes in recent weeks for speeding or slowing teams). Green Star Teams have been speeding up (TB/ARI/CLE/LAR/LV) and have been speeding up (less rushing?). Red Star Teams are (NYJ/MIA/SF/WAS/GB) have been slowing down with more rushing?

Graphical Analysis of SPS vs DIFFs
—————————————————————————-
I plotted these 2 Team level metrics using SPS sorted from high to low (LAR to ATL). Again less vs. more rushing-based teams on average. Additionally, I plotted the recent DIFFs in SPS for each team (Red Box Markers) and set the league normal boundaries with pink dashed lines. Teams above are extremes in SPS vs. below are the slower SPS teams (Rushing predictions)

TEAM SNAP BASED SCORING LEVEL (PPR) WEEKS 8 TO 13
SPS is a crucial metric, but I like to combine it with PPR Points per SPS. How have teams converted their SPS speeds into PPR points for our teams? Key question! The following table and graph chart these Scoring Metrics over the last six weeks.
I focus on extremes, changes for improving or declining. The top scorer teams (GREEN) are TB/LAC/NYJ/LAR/LV/IND. Most of those teams are no surprises, but a few are. The lowest teams (RED) are NYG/CAR/HOU/ATL/BAL. Great tiebreakers for lineups and DFS this week.
Additionally, I track team-level changes using my DIFF metric and annotate the increasing and declining teams’ scores by green or red stars. Extra thinking is needed for slumping teams!

Graphical Analysis of TEAM AVG Scoring By Snaps vs Recent DIFFs
—————————————————————————-
I plotted Team Avg Scoring Levels sorting high to low (TB vs. BAL) with the blue line. Additionally, I charted the DIFFs in scoring from the recent three weeks using a red box. Finally, I presented the average league upper and lower limits using the pink dashed lines. The teams above are scoring more in recent weeks, while teams plotted below are scoring less. Good Tiebreaker.

SPS vs Scoring By Snaps Team Levels Averages and DIFFs
–—————————-
I use these team-level metrics to set up my player rankings. Low-scoring teams are not a strong choice, especially for depth plays. You can not separate players from their teams etc. Strong players on improving high-scoring teams are excellent choices.
The table below has teams sorted by SPS (speed) first (Blue to Red), then I note their scoring levels. Additionally, I look for extreme changes to modify my plays. Again it would help if you did not take chances in the playoffs and win games.

Graphical Plot of SPS vs Scoring By Snaps Averages and DIFFs
—————————–
I plotted the SPS and Scoring for each team and sorted them by SPS speed left to right (Fast to Slower teams- LAR to ATL). Also, I marked the team scoring by red box markers and did a polynomial trend line to visualize patterns. I see the mid-SPS teams are scoring better than the extremes, with LAR being a rule-breaker (Why?- Off-season research!). Note the highs and lows in scoring with you moving to the high teams.

I use positional tracking of SPS across the leagues. Below are the RBs and I included:
- Position
- TEAM
- AVERAGE SPS
- W8 to 13 AVERAGE SPS (Purple High to Low Yellow)
- Team
- Recent DIFFs in SPS Levels.
