2020 PPR Rankings with Player Uncertainty Levels

This table includes:

  • Team
  • Bye Week
  • Position Rankings
  • Position
  • Overall Name
  • Fantasy Sport’s Professor’s Rankings (Scale of 100 to 0-Green to Red)
  • Uncertainty Level of High, Average or Low

The DST at 16th and Kicker at 12th are not in play for me in 2020.

QB and RBs

The 2020 season is going to be interesting because 2019 was such a departure from the usual GB scheme. See the last figure that highlights the move to rushing more and passing less. Rodgers did not seem in sync with the change in 2019. I have Rodgers at 11th QB due to this change? He does have some upside if GB goes to the pass more than 2019.

Jones, the RB was the beneficiary of the new GB scheme in 2019. He was on fire. I still have him as RB 14 with upside and low uncertainty. Should be worth his price for 2020.

TE and WRs

The 2019 season saw the TE are the lowest point in the last few years in GB. Sternberger does not seem to be a TE1; instead, I rank him at TE29th with some uncertainty. I will pass on him in redraft, but he is ok for Best Ball plays as TE2 or 3 mainly.

The WRs in GBs all centered around Adams in 2019. It was Adams and the rest. I think 2020 should keep Adams fed, and he is an excellent play at WR2 with low uncertainty. The rest of the WRs are a mess and are all with high uncertainty. I think Larard is the next WR, and I rank him at WR60th. The exciting play for me seems to be Funchess at WR82, but being new, he could gel with Rodgers and be an excellent sleeper. He is a deep play in redraft and best ball. Hard to see MVS and Kumerow in the mix for 2020 without injury.

2016 to 2019 Positional Based PPR Fantasy Point Averages (FPA), Team Usages, and Differences from 2019 to 4-year Averages

This table presents:

  • Team
  • Position
  • 2016 to 2019 Fantasy Point Averages
  • 4 Year Sum of Averages
  • % of Positional Usage by the 4-Year Date
  • % of 2019 Team Usages
  • DIFF – 2019 vs. last 4-year % Usages (Improving or Declining)

GREEN BAY PACKERS – Professor’s NFL Team Flash Card. The GB team really flip their script in passing from 2018 to 2019. Note QB declined by -3.9%, and their 328 FP was almost ½ of 2018 FP. Sure is a fantastic drop. As one might think, the WR also dropped by -5.5% and had a bottom in the last 4-year. Caution in 2020.

The WRs in 2019 were  5. Davante Adams, 66. Allen Lazard,  and 114. Marquez Valdes-Scantling which were a WR1, WR6, and WR9. Adams is a fantastic WR to stay in the top WR group with the dramatic QB drop. Funchess is also not in the mix, but maybe in a crowded house, Could be a WR3/4 type? He does give off some vibes as the new face in here.

The TEs were average, and Graham is now gone. 2020 caution for TEs, but TE Marcedes Lewis was kept along with Sternberger. I only ranked Sternberger as he seems likely to pass ML for the top TE1 team spot.

Finally, as GB passed less, they used their RBs to produce more in 2019 and ended up with 2. Aaron Jones, and 35. Jamaal Williams, who is a nice tandem at RB1 and RB3 type. The mystery is the rookie AJ Dillion who I have right next to Williams for 2020. Dillion could overtake JW and be the number 2 RB by the end of the 2020 season. Dillion seems to have the ability to succeed and is a dynasty play.  RB single TOP with WRs at a Bottom

2015 to 2019 Team Level Targets Per Game, 2019 Usage, 5 Year of Targets/Game Usage, and DIFF in 2019.

This table contains:

  • Team
  • Position
  • 2015 to 2019 Targets Per Game
  • 5 Year Average of Targets Per Game
  • %2019 Usages in Targeting
  • % 5-Year Positional Usage Average
  • DIFF 2019 vs. 5-Year Average of Team Positional Usages

GREEN BAY PACKERS – Professor’s NFL Team Flash Card. Overall Comments: 2019 was all about RBs getting the Target/Game increasing by 10%. GB has had this level of RB activity for 2 years. Expect 2020 to be the same. The RBs for 2020 are Aaron Jones RB14, Jamaal Williams RB55, A.J. Dillon RB56, and Dexter Williams RB94. Suggest you take Williams and Dillon as late RBs/Best Ball types given the environment in GB.

The TEs and WRs dropped in T/G, and with the GB TE being Jace Sternberger TE29, its hard to recommend him early. Watch for GB red-zone usages.

Finally, the GB WRs are Davante Adams WR2, Allen Lazard WR60, Devin Funchess WR82, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling WR102. The public sees Adams as the WR and the other as hanging around for scraps. I do like Funchess as the best ball late WR acquisition only.
