Congratulations on making it to week 15 in the fantasy football world, and if you are playing DFS this week…go get you some. Here are some defenses to consider in either fantasy world.
First let me just say if someone tells me to stream Baltimore, New England, or San Francisco’s defenses I will scream! In what fantasy league are these defenses available? I want in! DFS completely understand (although they may be pricey).
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS v Carolina Panthers
I may be a little bitter at the firing of Ron Rivera. Not sure why I would be, but I am. Nevertheless, it hasn’t really helped the Panthers “right the ship” that Riverboat Ron had been steering. Now they will play a Seahawks team that needs a win and is actually playing for something.
Fantasy just got a whole lot better thanks to Monkey Knife Fight. With fast-paced games like Rapid Fire and Either/Or, it’s never been easier to play fantasy and win. New to MKF? Get Exclusive $100 Deposit Match + Free $5 Game
In the past four weeks defenses have collected the third most fantasy points when playing the Panthers, thanks mostly to the 5.2 sacks and 2.8 takeaways they are averaging against them.
CLEVELAND BROWNS v Arizona Cardinals
At the beginning of the year, if you remember I was very…very high on the Browns defense. Then it took a turn for the worse, and then it took another turn towards fugly, and now I am back where I started.
Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury have had a decent run. Yet they both have hit the rookie wall. Last week the Pittsburgh Steelers sacked Murray five times while intercepting him three times. In week 13 the Los Angeles Rams managed to intercept Murray one time while sacking him six times. That’s trending downwards. During the same time frame the Browns’ defense has three interceptions and two sacks. Not great but it is something. And something is trending up going against the Cardinals.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS v Denver Broncos
Drew Lock has had a good two game run…it ends in Arrowhead Stadium. Once unreliable, the Chiefs defense has stepped it up. They are the eighth ranked fantasy defense. Sunday they will go against a rookie playing his first game in the unfriendly confines of Arrowhead with an offensive line that has allowed the eighth highest sack rate. Add to that the fact that the Broncos will most likely be playing from behind, which will cause Lock to want to force the issue.
The kid is good the Chiefs defense will just be better.
