Week 16 FanDuel Targets

Coming back with my head held low, I had a brutal week last Sunday. I had my normal group of good calls, but the bad ones held more weight and killed my line ups. Ill get to the accountability of my poor choices, but before I do I just want to mention that the process will remain the same. I will not be blinded by recency bias.

The biggest misses last week for me were Adam Thielen, the main trio for the Cowboys, and Aaron Jones all hurt me. Aaron Jones got hurt so I cannot get mad at that, the others did not show up however. The Cowboys were rolling on offense and the Colts shut them out. Tough week like I said yet I roll on with a new week and new mind set.

Ben Roethlisberger $8,700

In what is believed to be the highest scoring game on the slate, Big Ben will be once again leading a pass first attack versus the Saints. I believe this will be a shootout despite the let down last week against the Patriots.

Drew Brees $8,500

In that same game, Drew Brees should be able to bounce back at home after disappointing time and time again lately. The fact he has floundered as of late should hold his ownership down.

Deshaun Watson $8,000

Facing the Eagles has lead to “easy pickins” since all of the secondary players have been injured. Also, losing Lamar Miller last week, I would assume a more pass heavy game plan.

Kirk Cousins $7,600

Another dud from last week is facing the Lions who are sort of tough to run on now. I feel Cousins will need to pass the ball effectively all day to ear the win.

Dak Prescott $7,300

Yes, he killed me last week. Yes, I am going back to the well this week. Dak is back at home and facing a terrible Bucs defense. Sign me up.

Running Back

Saquon Barkley $9,000

Barkley is my top back this week as he should get his usual target share of runs and targets in this one.

Ezekiel Elliot $8,800

I already mentioned the Cowboys have a great match up. As long as Zeke stays involved in the pass game he is game flow independent.

Alvin Kamara $8,100

In what I feel will be the highest scoring game, Kamara will need to be involved in the pass game. When he gets that target share, he is a top tier option.

Nick Chubb $7,900

The next three guys all are similar. I expect the Browns to win this game so Chubb should get plenty of run as long as they don’t fall behind.

Marlon Mack $7,000

The Colts are also likely to be leading this game and when they do they feed the former USF Bull. The Giants rush defense is one of the worst in the league.

Sony Michel $6,800

The last of the trio is another back who isn’t involved in the passing is, Sony Michel. If you believe the Patriots win this game as I do then he should be a good play.

Jaylen Samuels $6,700

Another piece of action in the Steelers versus Saints who is quite a bit more expensive than the last two weeks. His roles have also increased the last few weeks and I am staying on the train with him this week.

Jamaal Williams $5,800

The Packers are essentially forced to roll with Williams as the lone back. The volume alone is worth the risk.

Elijah McGuire $5,700

A cheaper back that actually gets work running and passing and in theory should be playing from behind.

Kalen Ballage $5,500

He expects to inherit the Frank Gore role and has a good chance to break a long one. If you are going to spend up at wide receiver then spending down here isn’t the worst idea.

Davante Adams

Wide Receiver

DeAndre Hopkins $8,900

Nuk is certainly the chalk for the week. He is arguably the best receiver and gets to face the horrid Eagles. Lock him in.

Antonio Brown $8,700

He would be a definite start for me if JuJu were to sit. He is another under performer as of late who should bounce back.

Davante Adams $8,500

Davante has been the model for consistency. As the Packers lose more and more weapons each week, Aaron Rodgers should look to find his favor target.

Michael Thomas $8,300

The Saints are back at home this week and usually when that happens they score in bunches. The main target for the Saints continues to be Thomas.

Adam Thielen $7,600

What a dud last week was. Quite frankly the Vikings didn’t need to pass the ball to be successful last week. This week is different in the fact the Lions struggle more versus the pass than the run.

Robert Woods $7,500

With Brandin Cooks likely to be followed by Tre’Davious White, Robert Woods should see plenty of targets.

Amari Cooper $7,000

I fully expect the Cowboys trio to all bounce back this week. The Bucs have not been able to slow anyone this year especially top wide outs. Play him.

Julian Edelman $7,000

With the trust of Tom Brady and the disappearance of Josh Gordon, I am looking for Edelman to step it up this week.

Alshon Jeffery $6,300

Nick Foles taking over has led to an uptick in looks to Alshon. I feel the Eagles will need to pass as always to keep up and Jeffery should be a part of that.

Jarvis Landry $6,300

He has been up and down this season, yet, still is the target leader for a team who has been playing good ball. If the Browns can pass the ball effectively, than Landry will likely have a good day.

Robby Anderson $5,900

Anderson has been doing more than just scoring long touch downs. As long as Sam Darnold continues to look his way, he will be a good value.

Calvin Ridley $5,500

I love Julio Jones and I think he even suits up, but for me, Ridley is the smarter choice this week.

Chris Godwin $5,200

The Cowboys are expected to score with ease on the Bucs and they should have to pass to stay close. I will run it back with Godwin.

Tre’Quan Smith $5,100

I want in on this game and taking Smith at a discount could help unlock some other plays. He is absolutely risky, but I’ll take those risk in tournaments.

Tight End

Zack Ertz $7,400

I don’t think that Ertz will be heavily owned after a no show last week. He is still one of the top passing options for the Eagles and is worth his price.

George Kittle $7,400

I know he is facing a tough Bears team, yet, he projects for a solid game. My reasoning for suggesting him is, I do not feel Mullens will not have a lot of time to throw down field, forcing more targets to Kittle.

Rob Gronkowski $6,600

I already stated that Julian Edelman will have to step up for the Patriots. So will Gronk. His price has started to rise back up but he isn’t too expensive this week.

Evan Engram $5,700

Engram has been the main beneficiary of Odell Beckham being ruled out so far. Fire him up again.

Austin Hooper $5,300

Hooper is in a juicy match up for tight ends and I will be more apt to play him if Julio sits.

David Njoku $5,300

I think the Browns have a good shot to put up points and he could be a part of that.

Vikings $4,600

Matt Stafford and the Lions offense has been bad. I do not have any problem paying up for the Vikings.

Cowboys $3,700

If the game script plays out like I expect, the Cowboys jump out to a lead and never look back.

Falcons $3,400

If you are punting the position the Falcons are my choice. They have generated turnovers recently and could repeat success.
