With no Jacksonville this week, I will turn to the San Diego Chargers, who get to play the lowly Oakland Raiders in week 11. They are coming off a bye and Oakland is coming off a smacking at the hands of Denver. So week 10 was decent for my picks, as Dallas scored 11 points (15 points allowed, with four sacks, one interception and two fumble recoveries. Baltimore had a nice day, scoring 13 points as they allowed seven points, had five sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery. My third pick the Steelers, scored just five points, as they allowed 20 points and had only four sacks. Since I can’t pick the defense playing the Jaguars, my number one pick is the team who is playing my 2nd favourite target (the Oakland Raiders) which is the San Diego Chargers. Let’s take a look.
San Diego Chargers (available in 88% of Yahoo! leagues)
The San Diego Chargers defense will be playing after a bye and they will be at home. I know they got shredded by Miami the last game they played, but Oakland’s offense is nowhere close to Miami’s. Hopefully the bye week will allow the San Diego Chargers defense to get more healthy and figure it out. This is more of an “Oakland is bad” pick than San Diego is good pick. Oakland’s offense was held under 250 yards total by Denver and Derek Carr is a turnover machine. Giddy up.

Washington Redskins (available in 96% of Yahoo! leagues)
So with Josh McCown back at the helm for Tampa Bay, they are again a target for streaming defenses. Its not just him, but the entire Buccaneers offense is poor. The Atlanta Falcons defense last week had two interceptions, four sacks and a fumble recovery, while giving up 17 points. Pretty nice game for a poor defense and I consider Washington’s defense to be in the same conversation as the Atlanta defense. Washington will also be at home and coming off of a bye, another strike against Tampa and another positive for Washington. This is the high risk high reward pick of the week.
Buffalo Bills (available in 27% of Yahoo! leagues)
I know this is a more highly owned defense so it doesn’t count as a streamer, but I really like the match-up this week. The Miami Dolphins lost Brandon Albert, their starting left tackle in week 10 so there is an advantage to Buffalo and their strong defensive line. In week 10 against the Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills defense registered six sacks and a fumble recovery, while allowing 17 points in the loss – they scored 9 points if you played then in week 10. Miami’s offense struggled against another strong defensive unit, as Ryan Tannehill was sacked three times and threw an interception. Luckily for the Dolphins the game will be played in Miami, but it is on a short week so I like the Bills defense as I’m expecting a lower scoring game as both offenses struggle.
