Two Quarterback Fantasy Football Rankings

Peyton Manning heads up the quarterbacks in this year’s 2QB Top 200 Fantasy Football Rankings

The NFL preseason and fantasy football drafts are finally here! And with so many interesting formats of our beloved pastime, it is important to have fantasy football rankings that are customized to your league’s rules. My personal favorite is the two quarterback format. Here is a great explanation of the 2QB format and the reasoning behind it, written by Joshua Lake (@LakeTwoQBs). I highly recommend it. Welcome to this year’s two quarterback top 200 fantasy football rankings and Cheat Sheet. The cheat sheet is a pdf version of the rankings that has the top 200 as well as positional rankings. As with any rankings, minor adjustments will be necessary as we get closer to Week 1. If you have any questions or comments feel free to message me on Twitter @BergerTwoQBs. But enough intro. Here are your 2014 two quarterback fantasy football rankings!

  1. Fry says:

Murray is typically rated much higher than #42 in most rankings, I am curious of your expectations of him for 2014. Also, are you worried about the workload history of Lynch for his stats this year?

    • Josh Berger says:

You are right that Murray is typically ranked higher than 42. I believe his ADP in 1QB is around 19 overall. My reason is twofold: injury risk, and my strategy of owning 2 quality QBs in all of my 2QB leagues.

Murray will likely finish top 10 if he remains healthy. I’m believing that he will not, and so he is ranked at RB14 barely ahead of CJ Spiller and Reggie Bush. Murray’s injury history was long in both the NFL and college. Add in the 13 QBs I prefer to own over him, and Murray falls to 42.

Steven Jackson back doing light work in practice

After it seemed like Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson would be out for all of training camp, he was seen doing light work on Monday. Jackson participated in agility drills during practice. While the Falcons will likely play it safe with Jackson, the probability of him being ready for week 1 seems much higher than it did a week ago. Jackson owners should target rookie Devonta Freeman towards the end of drafts.

Bengals receiver Marvin Jones has a broken foot

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones has a broken foot. He had a pin put in his fifth metatarsal on his left foot. This injury will keep him out through the beginning of the season, likely into week two or three. With Jones gone, Mohammed Sanu is likely to get looks opposite AJ Green.  He is worth a late flyer late in drafts, possessing both talent and athleticism.

The Houston Texans cut Andre Brown

The Houston Texans have released running back Andre Brown. The move makes room behind Arian Foster. Jonathan Grimes is the current leader to be second on the depth chart at running back. Rookie Alfred Blue and veteran Ronnie Brown are also in the mix. The back up in Houston will likely have value at some point this season, given Foster’s inability to stay healthy. We will update any changes to the depth chart.
