Daily Fantasy Basketball Notes 11/14

Light NBA schedule for Thursday night still offers 2 exciting games filled with lots of fantasy value. Both games have spreads under 5 points indicating tight, breathaking games. The most surprising aspect of the 2 games tonight is the fact that Golden State is around a 5 point favorite over OKC.

While point spreads are not always the deciding factor, it can at least help you decide which players to start or sit. When deciding who to play I look for value, the hot hand, and of course match ups. My theme tonight, after careful consideration, isn’t Cowboys and Indians but Rockets and Warriors. All prices listed are according to Draft Street $100,000 salary daily league.

Players To Start:

Fantasy just got a whole lot better thanks to Monkey Knife Fight. With fast-paced games like Rapid Fire and Either/Or, it’s never been easier to play fantasy and win. New to MKF? Get Exclusive $100 Deposit Match + Free $5 Game

Dwight Howard – $19,520 – Has been on some tear lately, playing a team lacking size to compete with him. Over Dwight’s last 5 games he is averaging 21 PPG and 15 RPG……And if that isn’t enough to scare any opponent,  Dwight had 6 blocks last night as well. As long as he can stay out of foul trouble, Dwight’s ability to score, rebound, and block shots make him a fantasy dream and worth every penny.

Chandler Parsons – $12,695 – Parsons is another Rocket lighting up the fantasy scoreboard.  Over last 3 games, he is averaging almost 33 fantasy points a game. His road stats are better then his home stats. Chandler is averaging 2 more points and 2 more rebounds on the road, while his blocks are up as well. With the addition of Howard, Chandler seems to be a different person this year. His PPG are up almost 6 points and RPG are up around 1 more per game. His low price and hot hand make him the fantasy sleeper of the night.

Andre Iguodala – $14,265 – Andre loves playing against OKC. Over his last 8 games against OKC, he has averaged 14.5 PPG, 5.5 APG, 4.5 RPG, and 2.1 SPG. That is what I call filling up the stat sheet! With numbers like that and a relatively cheap price, Andre will have fantasy owners laughing all the way to the bank.

Players To Sit:

James Harden – $18,363 –  James is trying to play through injury, which made him sit out the first end of a back to back. Even though the match up looks juicy, his injuries and high price scare me a lot. You can get much better prices and production by leaving him on your bench. Don’t be scared to let the bearded wonder sit tonight.

Serge Ibaka – $14,980 – Serge’s numbers are much better at home than on the road. His PPG are 7 points less, RPG are 4 less, and BPG are 1 less as well. In addition, his numbers versus the Warriors last year were  pedestrian. He averaged 11.5 PPG and 7 RPG against them last season. With those numbers and a fairly high price, well, that makes him a big sit tonight.

JR Smith – $12,475 – Smith has only been back a handful of games and faces a very tough match up. Last year against the Rockets, he averaged almost 6 points less than he did against the rest of the league. Rockets are a better team this year and playing against a player still trying to get into game shape. This is a recipe for fantasy disaster.  Klay Thompson $11,798, Jeremy Lin $11,673, and Patrick Beverly $11,296 have better prices, and will have better production which make then much better fantasy options tonight.
