Weekly Values in Fantasy Football. Weekly Values are all that matter in Fantasy Football. How many times have you gotten to the end of the season and saw one of your starters who lost plenty of games for you with a “Donut Hole” ended up finishing as a Top 15 player at his position because he played all 16 games? Yes, this happened to me for years, and that result was why I discovered that weekly value is all that matters to winning Fantasy Football. So let’s take a look at the updated values after week three.
QB Weekly Values
Only one player at the position has scored 25+ points in 75% or more of his games since 2019, and that is why Patrick Mahomes is often on the roster of winning teams in Fantasy Football. The standard strategy in 1QB leagues is to punt the position since the 12th ranked QB doesn’t give up that many points per game to the leader. Based on my weekly value ratings, the spread between QB1-QB6 is only 1.7 points and from QB1-QB12 is 6.8 points. But having a Consistency Rating of over 60% does give you an edge in matchups weekly.

RB Weekly Values
We knew D’Andre Swift was a great value, but he rose the Weekly Values chart to seventh best after three weeks. When we look at Weekly Values, we see how important it is to have a top RB. The drop-off from RB1 to 6th is 8.3 points, RB1 to 12th is 11points, and RB1to 24 is 15 points in difference. The Weekly Value does tighten quite dramatically after the top 5. RB6-12 spread is 2.7 points, and from RB12-24, it’s only 4 points. Checking the replacement value for the injured Christian McCaffrey, we see that Chubba Hubbard is forecast to have RB22 going forward.

WR Weekly Value
The weekly values at WR show how deep the talent is at this position, but there is still a tremendous advantage to having some of the top players. Devante Adams has a definite advantage, but if we compare WR2-6, we see a 2.8 point advantage, WR2-12 has a 4.7 point advantage, and WR2-24 has a 7.2 point spread. The drop-off is less dramatic as we get into the WR20 to WR35 range. Factoring in the 2021 data, Mike Williams is the most prominent rising star at the position up to WR19.

TE Weekly Value
Before the 2021 season, the considerable debate was whether anyone would join the Elite 3 (or4) at the TE position. However, after factoring in the first three weeks of data for this year’s games, it is now clear that there are ONLY two elite players at the position. Travis Kelce and Darren Waller have not only separated themselves from the pack at the position, but they also have weekly values that are on par with the 7th best RB or the 10th best WR. As a result, TJ Hockenson has joined the second tier at TE.

Putting Weekly Values to Work for You
Weekly Values in Fantasy Football. Weekly Value ratings are weighted for the 2021 season but include data back to the 2019 season to allow for a more extensive data set to establish proper trends in Fantasy Football. If two players you are comparing for a play/sit decision are within a few points, that is when you need to put the matchup data of Professor John Bush from FakePigSkin to work for you! They are also accommodating when comparing two players for a trade. But when you are considering a transaction, you also need to compare your change of Weekly Value at the position you are giving up when determining the likely success of that trade for the season.
Good luck in week four!
