Week 14 Snaps Report

Week 14 Snaps Report

Week 14 Snaps Report. Essentials Edition. The use of this report for fantasy is multi-fold:

  1. Determine the Team Snaps Levels and Scoring Efficiency
  2. Focus onto players improving or declining by snaps
  3. Find players with solid scoring efficiency vs. snaps.

I use for waiver wire uses lineup plays and DFS investments. I try to reveal the key aspects of SNAP data. Suggest my readers read quickly, scan, then come back and consider what the numbers are “saying” :).

Week 9 to 14 Team Snaps, Snap Averages, Differences Late vs Early, and Last 2 Week Differences.

Week 14 Snaps Report. This snap metric table is action-packed with the following:

  • Team -Colorized High, Mid, and Low Snap Averages (Green to Red)
  • Week 9 to 14 (colorized Green to Red)
  • Snap Average of Team Last 6 Weeks (Blue to Red)
  • Team Late vs. Early Difference (Purple to yellow)
  • Team Differences 2 Weeks (Purple to yellow)

I use landscape views to frame the week 15 plays. Move toward higher scoring and snap teams. Note I have some data that suggests lower Snaps may mean more scoring.

  • FYI Speeding Up Teams in the last 6 weeks. MIN/ARI/CLE/LAR/BUF/DAL
  • Slowing teams in the last 6 weeks. TB/BAL/NYJ/NO/TEN/LV

Team Snaps Landscapes Weeks 9 to 14

Week 14 Snaps Report. The view below highlights high vs. lower snaps from Teams (Bar Graphs – Green or Red Bars).

Some suggestions for slower teams scoring better.

  • FYI Speeding Up Teams in the last 6 weeks. LAR/MIN/DAL/ARI/LAC/NE/IND/NYG/BUF
  • Slowing teams in the last 6 weeks. NO/TEN/MIA/LVNYJ/TB/HOU/CAR

Team Scoring Efficiency Weeks 9 to 14

Week 14 Snaps Report.  Scoring Efficiency is defined as PPR points scored per Snap. These metrics include:

  • Team Names: Blue High Scoring Efficiency/ Red Low Scoring Efficiency
  • Week 9 to 14 Scoring Efficiency Averages (Green to Red)
  • 6 Week Scoring Efficiency (Blue to Red)
  • Late vs. Early Differences (Improving vs. Declining Teams)
  • Differences last 2 weeks played.

Takeaways:

  • GB/MIN and IND have done well in the last 6 weeks.
  • CIN/DEN/NYG/WAS have been poor in scoring per snap. WAS has its defense to keep balancing out its “Flabby” offense.
  • CLE/DET/BAL/CHI/TB/JAX have improved in SCOR EFF in the last 3 weeks.
  • LAR/PHI/HOU/SEa/NYJ/BUF/NE/CIN have declined in SCOR EFF in the last 3 weeks.

————————————————————————————–

Team Scoring Efficiency Weeks 9 to 14

  • CLE/DET/BAL/CHI/TB/JAX have improved in SCOR EFF in the last 3 weeks.
  • LAR/PHI/HOU/SEa/NYJ/BUF/NE/CIN have declined in SCOR EFF in the last 3 weeks.

Team Avg Scoring EFF vs. Recent Changes Improve/Declines

  • Red Star teams suggest caution for week 15 lineups and DFS plays.
  • Green Star Teams may be better than thought for week 15 lineups, and DFS plays.

Snaps vs. Scoring Efficiency

Focuses on Relationships of Team SNAPs and Scoring EFF.

Week 14 Snaps Report.  Note GB/MIN/IND have higher Scoring Efficiency. Great for DFS and Lineups. Within those teams, only MIN has higher snaps. MIN needs more snaps to collect scoring? Min, therefore, can be shut-down by limiting their snaps.

DAL/JAX/WAS/NE have higher snaps but weak Scor EFF! Caution

Move to more explosive teams for waivers, lineups, and DFS plays for week 15. Caution for players from the opposite team types.

Bar Graphing Plot of Snaps vs. Scorings.

Week 14 Snaps Report.  I plotted the Team metrics from high to low scoring efficiency.

Note LV seems to generate low SNAPS but great Scoring! Consider the balances with each Team.

Player Level Snaps, Snap Averages, Differences, Scoring, Snap/Scoring Ratios

Week 14 Snaps Report. These Data Tables are :

  • Team
  • Position
  • Player
  • Week 9 to 114
  • Snap Average
  • Scoring Efficiency
  • Scor-Snaps.

I use Scor-Snaps as a quick rule of thumb metric if needed for player analysis. Remember, consider the low snap players that will seem better than they are. Consider closely snap players for Scor-Snaps.

Move toward Higher Snaps and Scoring Players.

For example, the ARI TEs suggest Williams is better than Arnold in snaps, but SCOR-SNAP of 3.1 Arnold vs. 0.47 William suggests ARNOLD is 6X better for scoring.

I use these metrics in Dynasty as well. Now is the time to snag an “underseen” player.

Players By Position of Snaps and Scoring Metrics

Use these tables to find a player’s rankings within the positions. Find the missed players. Extremes can be the most interesting players.

I broke the positions by snap average segments then sorted each segment by Scor-Snap to catch interesting players for week 15.

————————————————————————————–

Quarterbacks

Remember that the Scor-Snap ratio is sensitive to low snap players. These players must be eliminated for analysis. Dynasty, however, these could be of interest.

Note Minshew at the peak was 1.9 vs. Rodgers at 1.48 etc. Interesting. Find the other extremes.

================================================

Scoring Efficiency Trends Within Team Positions .

As a treat, I wanted to flip out some of my “secret” stuff for a deeper view. What positions are scoring recently within teams. Is a team loaded it scoring into a position, or is it a spread team? More data coming in my textbook in June 2021 ish :).

I present the table and its graphical plot. I am a visual learner and use the plots to “see” the secrets. Extremes are interesting. Find them.

————————————————————————————–

Examples.

The highest Red bars are the highest AVG Scoring EFF in the team. The recent trends up or down via the triangle.

  • BAL. RB scoring more, but TEs recently down as Andrews was out. BAL used RBs to score in the balance of loss of TE activity!
  • BUF WRs dropping recently. Caution!
  • ATL is all WRs all the time. Hurst Gurley sad bust?
  • ARI loves the Drake!
