NFL 2020: WEEK 4 IDP STARTS

The other Josh Allen

And the injuries keep coming. Be diligent and of course remember that a few of your studs will not be playing this week with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans on a bye this week.

DEFENSIVE LINE

KERRY HYDER | SAN FRANCISCO | DE – @PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

The injuries to both Dee Ford and Nick Bosa have opened up more playing time for Hyder. Now this defensive line will get to go against the Eagles who have surrendered 11 sacks over three games.

In three games, Hyder has 14 total tackles and two sacks.

JOSH ALLEN | JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS | DE – vs. CINCINNATI BENGALS

Let’s just say it the Bengals offensive line is garbage. Now Allen will get to take his talents against right tackle Bobby Hart who leads all offensive tackles in pressure allowed this season with a whopping 15 in three games.

The Bengals have given up 14 sacks so far this season (leads the league) which has also been the reason they lead the league in fantasy points to defensive linemen.

LINEBACKERS

KYZIR WHITE | LOS ANGELES CHARGERS | OLB – @ TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

It is a daunting task playing along side a rookie linebacker who is amounting a massive amount of tackles. Such is White’s fortune. However, he is not only holding his own, he is excelling. For the last two weeks, White has played on every defensive down.

He is also averaging nine tackles a game. So while the Buccaneers have been stingy with the points given to linebackers, White’s 100% opportunities should help out the situation.

MYKAL WALKER | ATLANTA FALCONS | LB – @ GREEN BAY PACKERS

This start depends on the status of Foyesade Oluokon, so check the Sunday injury report. With Oluokin out, Walker has played every down. Walker is looking good on a team that is finding ways not to look good.

Last week he had eight total tackles, one tackle for loss and one forced fumble.

DEFENSIVE BACKS

TASHAUN GIPSON | SAFETY | CHICAGO BEARS – v INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

People should be talking a lot more about the Bears secondary, their IDP players are that good. That they aren’t makes for the occasional fantasy gems. Gipson will be that this week. He is on the field for 100 percent of defensive snaps. This week that time will be against the Colts who have given the safeties in week one and week three double-digit tackles.

JULIAN LOVE | SAFETY | NEW YORK GIANTS – @ LOS ANGELES RAMS

While Love is listed as a safety he has played the majority of his snaps as a cornerback so far this season. Either way this should be a good statistical match-up for him. The Rams are the leaders in the NFC in giving away fantasy points to defensive backs.

GOOD LUCK, KEEP AN EYE ON INJURIES AND AS ALWAYS COME TALK AT ME ON TWITTER @NEVERENOUGHGLT!
