It is that time to contemplate your place in your fantasy football universe. Are you streaming still? Still being competitive? Then let’s go.
Jerry Hughes, Buffalo Bills
This is a little about Hughes and a lot about the Dolphins. Yea, they are on a two-game win streak. But they are still allowing pressure on 30.2% of drop backs. That is the eighth highest rate in the league.
Hughes is averaging a mundane 4.4 fantasy points per game. He is getting into the backfield, as he has five tackle for losses and four quarterback hits so far. He should be able to get to quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who has been sacked 17 times so far this season.

Clay Matthews, Los Angeles Rams
First, welcome back Mr. Matthews. Second, he is back to being the Clay Matthews we remember. He has 7.5 sacks this season and he missed three games. Remember, with Matthews, it is all about the leagues that value sacks over tackles. He isn’t going to rack up tackle numbers for you He only has 22 total for the season, but he will get the sacks and quarterback hits and passes defended.
So if your IDP scoring system is weighted towards Matthews strength, get you some now.
TreDavious White, Cornerback, Buffalo Bills
This is a lot about White and a little about DeVante Parker. White is usually given the job of shadowing the opposing team’s WR1. Last week, that was Odell Beckham Jr. And okay, maybe Mayfield to Beckham isn’t the juggernaut that we thought it would be, even so, last week, White was credited with six solo tackles and four passes defended.
In a game in which the Dolphins look to be playing from behind quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has no problem targeting Parker. Last week it was 10 targets. This week it will be enough for White to add to his 41 total tackles, three interceptions and nine passes defended.
