Week 6 FanDuel Targets

We are rolling along in the season and on FanDuel this week, my advice is to wait. For what? I am waiting for injury news Sunday. Already dealing with a few byes and some major players not in the main slate, I have my work cut out for me.

For clarity, some injury news I am looking for that may affect my line up constructions will be Tyreek Hill, David Johnson, George Kittle, Christian Kirk, and Alvin Kamara. Kamara is the only guy that I have the courage to list as a target right now. If Tyreek were to play that may push me to pay up for Mahomes and similarly Christian Kirk and David Johnson would make Kyler Murray sexier.

QB

Deshaun Watson $8,400 – As of now, Watson is my top play in the highest projected scoring game on the slate. He shown last week he is up to the task and will be forced to score this week.

Baker Mayfield $7,400 – Did I watch last week? Of course I did. The Browns were brutal. I do not envision he can be that bad again and OBJ should get loose this week.

Jimmy Garoppolo $7,200 – One of the possible shoot out games that I do not feel people will be on. It looks like Todd Gurley and Kyle Juszcyk are out, possibly forcing more of an air attack on each side.

RB

Alvin Kamara $7,900 – There is no Christian McCaffrey on the slate this week, so the guy who has the same match up McCaffrey had last week, should excel if healthy.

Mark Ingram II $7,500 – Ingram is facing one of the worst defenses versus the run in a game they should be winning. He will eat.

Chris Carson $7,200 – Carson has become a volume monster, recently getting 20 plus touches three out of five weeks this year. Easily worth his price tag.

Le’Veon Bell $6,800 – Another guy that has been getting touches all year is Bell. With Sam Darnold due back, his touches may not go up yet, as his targets may be more efficient.

Derrick Henry $6,700 – He is low on the radar because of his next to nothing in the passing game. Just two weeks ago, Leonard Fournette tuned up the Broncos for 225 on the ground. With a similar running style, perhaps he can come close to that.

Damien Williams $6,600 – In a game with a huge implied score, he is really the only running back I am considering. His pass catching ability makes him a must play for me if Tyreek misses.

Kenyan Drake $5,600 – The least appetizing game of the slate does have some value plays and Drake should be the best of the bunch. Plug him to save up for the high priced receivers.

WR

Julio Jones $8,500 – Julio is still the top target for Matt Ryan and is in a terrific spot. If I can afford to fit him in, I will.

DeAndre Hopkins $8,400 – He will be in almost everyone’s line up this week just like everyone had Will Fuller last week.

Odell Beckham Jr. $7,600 – The opportunity has been there for OBJ. He is an elite talent. The Seahawks have not looked great on defense. These are all statements.

Tyler Boyd $6,400 – With all the injuries at wide receiver, the Bengals are almost forced to feed him 10 plus targets. They should be chasing the Ravens thought the air.

Terry McLaurin $6,400 – When healthy, McLaurin has been great to start his career. I know the game showcases two winless teams, but there will be points scored.

Tyler Lockett $6,300 – I have hinted that I like this game to be back and forth and maybe more high scoring than projected. The best option for the Seahawks is Lockett.

DeVante Parker $5,400 – I think Preston Williams is also a good option this week, but he is 200$ more expensive. If the money gets tight, Parker has the deep threat ability to pay off his price with one catch.

Dede Westbrook $5,400 – Overshadowed by breakout candidate, D.J. Chark so far, look for Dede to be the best this week. Dede plays more out of the slot and is likely to get open more often than his team mate.

Jamison Crowder $5,400 – Sam Darnold seems to have a good rapport with Crowder. The Cowboys will likely not give him time to pass deep so look for a lot of short targets.

TE

Travis Kelce $7,500 – There is enough value at tight end to fade him. As the theme for me this week, if Tyreek is out again I want Kelce.

Austin Hooper $6,400 – The best match up at the position belongs to Hoop. The Cardinals have neglected to guard tight ends all year and that should continue.

Mark Andrews $6,300 – Still the favorite target of Lamar Jackson and with Marquise Brown dinged up, he may see a few extra looks.

Jordan Akins $4,600 – Just a value option for me. Watson has thrown five touch downs to tight ends this year and I feel Akins has the most upside.

DEF

Ravens $5,000 – They are the chalk for me this week and an ugly week to pick a defense has me looking to pay up or punt here.

Jaguars $4,100 – Jalen Ramsey is not expected to play, yet the Jags have still been okay on defense.

49ers $3,500 – The 49ers certainly showed their ability to rush the passer versus the Browns. If they can get to Jared Goff they could be good again.
