Week 5 Quarterback Streamers

Bengals Andy Dalton

A month of the NFL season is already in the books and the list of potential quarterback streamers continues to grow. Week 5 has some names that are interesting including one who should just be an every week play until he proves that he should be. But before we march on to the Week 5 Quarterback Streamers, lets take look back at how we did in Week 4.

Stud – Jacoby Brissett

Shouts to Jacoby Brissett for being a stud. He was a top five option in Week 4 and as you will see continues to be widely available. Shouts

Dud – Kyle Allen and Case Keenum

If you your going to find a dud, you might as well go all out right? Case Keenum was pulled after 11 passes. Luckily he was still able to throw an interception before being pulled. Kyle Allen was able to complete the game which is better. However with no touchdowns and 3 fumbles he was also a trainwreck in Week 4.

As for the Week 5 options that can help you win?

Andy Dalton – 34% Owned

Despite the terrible performance on Monday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Andy Dalton is my stream of the week.

He is home for a match-up with the Arizona Cardinals who have been abysmal against opposing quarterbacks. They are currently allowing the third most fantasy points to the position. While losing John Ross from an already depleted wide receiving core is not ideal, Dalton should still have plenty of weapons to be effective. Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate and a healthy Tyler Eifert should have strong performances.

Look for Dalton to look the passer from the first two week throwing for north of 300 yards and multiple TDs.

Jacoby Brissett – 52% Owned

Jacoby Brissett is a phenomenal start this week if your in need quarterback help this week. Thus far he has been a top 10 option thus far with multiple touchdowns in every game including two games with three touchdowns. This week the Colts are on the road to face a Chiefs defense that has been prone to giving up fantasy points to opposing QBs.

Kansas City is allowing the 8th most fantasy points to opposing passers. Patrick Mahomes and company will put up plenty of points which should force Brissett to keep pace. I would expect another strong performance in this spot as he is in my top 12 QBs for Week 5. 250 yards and multiple passing touchdowns a very realistic expectation this week for Brissett.

Kyle Allen – 11% Owned

I am going back to the well this week with Kyle Allen especially if you are digging down deep. This will be Allen’s first start at home which should help calm down the nerves we saw a week ago at Houston.

It also helps to face a Jaguars defense that can be had via the passing game. They are currently allowing the 11th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. The departure of Jalen Ramsey has really downgraded the Jacksonville secondary and defense as a whole. In their last two contests both Marcus Mariota and Joe Flacco have thrown for 300 plus passing yards. MARCUS MARIOTA AND JOE FLACCO! Both QBs are not good and were still able to have productive fantasy days.

Good luck in Week 5!
