NFL 2019 Week 3 Streaming Defenses

It’s week three of the 2019 NFL season and you are that woman/man who decided to stream defenses. Good on you…maybe.

So let’s see what the third week has to offer. It should go without saying but any team playing the Miami Dolphins should have their defense in play…until further notice. So for this week that would be the Dallas Cowboys. And to my surprise they are still available. Get on it!

But if they are no longer an option then you should consider:

Seattle Seahawks v New Orleans Saints:

This is less of a no Brees play than a two quarterback system play. There is some talk out of New Orleans that they will employ both Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill. Now, the Legion of Boom no longer exists, but the front seven is still pretty formidable with Jadeveon Clowney and Bobby Wagner.

The question is how will an offense function with two different quarterbacks going in and out being constantly harassed by Clowney and Wagner.

For an added bonus this game is in Seattle with a 60% chance of precipitation and nine mile an hour winds. It’s looks like the refs are the only ones against the Saints.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New York Giants:

In case you haven’t heard, the Giants have benched Eli Manning for Daniel Jones. And in case you missed it, Todd Bowles is a darn good defense coordinator. Now, not sure Tampa wouldn’t still be in play if Eli was under center…but now.

The main scare here is Saquon Barkley, but last week Tampa’s defense limited Christian McCaffrey to 37 rushing yards, averaging 2.3 yards per carry. You know they are going to be all over Barkley daring Jones to throw. Speaking of which, they did sack Cam Newton three times.

Green Bay Packers v Denver Broncos:

The Broncos have been woefully inept on both sides of the ball. Give me a much improved Packers defense against a shaky (yes that spells Garett Bolles) offensive line and images of sacks, quarterback hits, and maybe an interception should pop into your head.

The Broncos offense has scored 30 points in two weeks. The Packers defense has allowed 19 points in two weeks. In the first week against Chicago, the Packers defense totaled five sacks and one interception. Last week against Minnesota the Packers recorded one sack and two interceptions.

The Broncos have given up five sacks in two weeks. Lunch time!

If you are feeling adventurous and have a spot you might want to think about rostering the LA Chargers (they play Miami in week four).

Good luck Streamers!
